The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 96 - Sorry
"My dear fellas, my friends, and companions of suffering, I speak to you today not because I wanted to, but because I was forced by the highest authority."
"…"
The group of people detained inside the great auditorium of the Academy was enough to cover the whole school population with only certain exceptions.
The issue about the revolt or what it will be known for many years as the Fruit Tart War reached every corner of the Continent. Every Kingdom, every town, every island knew about what had happened, so every single person could not help but comment on the origin of the rebellion. How could such a thing happened in one day, just one day, what or who could be that powerful?
"My dear fellas, my friends, my companions in pain, in these dark times, I am here to tell you that what we have done is not the way to solve controversies, nor the way to solve problems within our own people. We have to find the right way to fight… "
*Cough*
The throat of the Queen of Lith, the beautiful Elisa resounded in the hall and everyone paled, even the Princess that was now looking down at her feet felt threatened by that gentle cough.
"What I wanted to say is that we have to find the right way to solve our differences. Yes, my dear people, we cannot continue in this awful path of destruction, not for a simple thing… even if that thing is the delicious, tasty, almost otherworldly fruit tart…"
Anne had to wipe her mouth from the thought. If she hadn't been absenting from eating her more dėsɨrėd dessert for a week, then she won't be in that state, no one would be in that state. She wouldn't start a war unconsciously for revenge on the world… right? It is not that she wanted to prove to the universe her power.
"Anne," the voice of the Queen of Lith again echoed.
*cough,* Anne cleared her throat again and looked at the group of people.
From the students that were painfully hurt by the black cat and were now bandaged and starting to recover their sanity, to the other group that was more shameless than anyone, the teachers. The Principal and the leaders of each faculty that went to fight and now were waiting for an exemplary punishment.
"We must think on the consequences of our actions before joining a strange manipulation of a strange person. People, you must fight!"
Anne looked at the people with eyes beaming with inspiration.
"We can't fall into the claws of rebellion when we don't know what we are fighting for, or because of silly acts of revenge. We must think in the true victims… me!"
"Anne Du Lith, you better speak about your apology better, or you will write a book about nutrition and diets."
Monique was on the other line asking for help and telling her that everything was in utter chaos, and the origin, well, of course, the machinations of a shameless teenager, daughter of hers.
Elisa didn't need to hear more as she knew that something like that would happen when Henry was not around to control the craziness of her daughter.
"Mom… please, I…" Anne was now shaking for the first time. Not once from the time she came to this world, she was feeling so helpless and scared. Give her economics, give her mathematics but not nutrition, the way to control her demons.
"Anne Du Lith, will you continue with the apology or make a book?"
"I… can I choose better a movie?"
"…" Elisa was not understanding what was the girl talking about, but she was sure that it was another way to dodge the punishment. "Anne Du Lith, don't you dare manipulate me like these bunch of fools."
"Hey…"
"We are not that…"
"We… you… this…"
The little complaints dimmed pretty fast when they understood that it was silly how they become so addicted to something they didn't even like that much. Yes, the fruit tarts were amazing, the taste was fantastic, and deserved all the praises, but to reach those levels, only a crazy girl like the Princess could become an addict.
"I will apologize, mom…
My dear friends, teachers, fellas in sufferings and desperation. I… I apologize for leading your path to that of simple instincts. I freed without my intention, you natural instincts, the most basics of them.
Hunger, I turned you into hungry monsters with only one thought in your heads. To belong into a selected group of special people that Teacher Lena specially chose. Don't be so hard on yourselves, there are many places where you can dig your hole and share with other people. However, the one I dug and was invited to might not be for anyone. I am sorry.
Revenge, I turned you into machines of vengeance and intolerance, please people, what is with you? The vicious cycle of revenge is never-ending.
Today you bomb the library to stop the stupid magicians to get inside. No offense but if you have magic, just make your books pop out like the masters you are, don't be that ċȯċky."
"Yes!"
"Go for them, Princess!"
"Live long the Princess of the Engineering path."
"Anne," the soft voice of the Queen was again sending the place into an imperial silence. The intensity of her gaze, though, she was a beautiful woman, was so powerful that it left without words the whole school, even the old teachers.
"I am sorry, my dear fellas, but as you can see, we should not go down the path of vengeance. We must learn that if we want to accomplish something, we must eliminate every enemy from our way, or else, their little revenge will come one day to hunt us down."
The darkness and pressure of those words sent shivers to even the King of Lith that was watching with amusement the cages of Adam Robinson, Principal of the Academy, and the wizard Druon, that was the leader of the Magic Faculty.
"Sigh… Anne," the voice of the Queen in helplessness infected the rest of the students that didn't know the dark side of the Princess. Though she was trying hard to become evil, they never thought she will have that part on her.
If she were to take it out and embrace it as a new guide in life, she may have become someone without fear but feared instead.
"Anyway, my dear friends, fellas, teachers, and companions in cleaning up the consequences of our acts. I apologize for daring to control you, manipulate your wills to follow my dėsɨrė, though, you can't deny it was your dėsɨrė too…"
"…"
"I am truly sorry for making you set free your inner selves for a while," Anne looked at the woman about to shout her name again, "let me explain, it is to free yourselves from common sense, something you should never forget, understood? This was a lesson for everyone."
The students and guests in the hall nodded, though, they really didn't understand, but for their safety, they nodded again.
"Now, the next one to the stage," the Queen called the guilty number two. One of the men that made the most disasters. "Druon…"
"I don't regret anything! Muahahahaha!"
"Thank you, my love," the Queen said to her King.
"I can do it again if you wish," the King was finding the whole situation hilarious. Even more, so incredibly funny that he wanted to record it for posteriorly.
Elisa knew his thoughts and found that it was a good idea. It will set an example for future generations.
"Next one," Queen Elisa said after the group of nurses removed the burned wizard from the infirmary. "Adam."
"This… my dear students, I can't begin to say how disappointed I am in your behavior. I thought that we had selected the right people to lead the future and not to destroy it with silly battles…"
The whole union of students and teachers looked at him with a raised brow. The mighty principal of the Academy was the first one to start the war and did nothing to stop it.
"Yes, I know what are you thinking, my dear students, colleagues, and friends, you must be thinking about how regretful you feel for everything that happened. You should have not lost your senses for a bit of revenge, that silly demon that likes to dig deeper into your heart until the hole is big enough to take over your life."
"…"
The students and teacher didn't know what to say but look to the side, to Monique that was sighing helplessly.
"So, as your principal and superior, and also as the one who gives the punishments to the guilts, I will give Chef Hugo a week of holidays, maybe two. No more desserts."
Anne was now starting to lose it, if the fruit tarts abstinence made her collapse the Academy, a week without desserts will provoke chaos in the whole world.
"…"
