The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 97 - Beth
In the end, Adam Robinson, the Principal of the Academy was also burned with another bolt of lightning. The many students knew that was going to happen, and they all knew that he deserved it. Oh, they sure knew that he was the first one to rile up the battle between the engineering students.
Somehow he unleashed the secret weapons made to attack those on the magical faculty. They were marvelous.
However, the screams, "Ahhh!"
They all came at a good time to stop his boldness on declaring that Chef Hugo was going to rest for a few weeks.
After all, that was the same as him declaring that there would be another war on a bigger scale unleashing its fierceness to the world. They all could feel the darkness in the back coming from a certain spot where a tea table, a game of little cups, and a pot with hot tea was being served to a red-haired young girl with golden eyes. She was cheerfully drinking but then her hand stopped in mid-air.
The light seemed to have receded, and only darkness was there.
"This is scary…"
"I am frightened… what will happen to us?"
"Be brave… be brave, we will only be converted into zombies again, nothing more."
"No… I can't let go of my rationality again, what about exams?"
"What about them?"
"They are in two weeks… we won't have time to study…"
"The teachers won't have time to take the exams"
"…"
They all looked at each other with a sense of mischievousness and rubbing hands. Although, just looking at the beautiful princess was enough to send them shivers, and made them prepare their weapons and shields, they could still take advantage of that. No more exams!
"Hehehehe…."
"Muahahaha!"
The next ones on the line to the public apology were the rest of the teachers, the faculty leaders, the secretaries, the students, even those that didn't know they were at fault. The ȧssistants of the faculties that were celebrating in their respective offices the birthday of one of their colleagues. Well, they were so into their party that they didn't care for the events outside. It was far from his paycheck.
After a few hours of long and short not that sincere apologies, the row of punishments came in the form of an individual message in their MINIs.
Everyone got a different punishment according to their abilities and what they hate the most.
Some of them got to study more hours in the library and write every day a number of words. Some others had to do math equations, a hell number of it. Some others had to sing in the chorus, and others bake a cake, many more had to ȧssist the school employees in doing cleaning labor.
However, the truly exemplary punishments went to the teachers and those involved in the worse part of the destruction.
They had to do what they hated to do the most: work together.
"Pass me the broom, idiot," Adam Robinson was cleaning the floor of the Founding Tower Library.
However, he was not the only one, the wizard was the leader of the magic faculty was also on the other side. The two of them were chained together and forced to work on the same tune. They even had to share a dormitory for a week.
"Stop moving," Druon couldn't focus on cleaning the statues with the man moving around so much.
"You are too slow," Adam retorted with a smirk, "don't you have muscles?"
"I've never cleaned without magic before," Druon said, "this is outrageous. To make the most powerful wizard of the world do this kind of useless job, I can't believe that my genius mind is forced to withstand this savagery!"
"Shut up!" Adam retorted and pulled the chain to make the wizard fall, "I am the one being really punished here, how dare they make me do this useless work of babysitting an idiot like you!"
"You….!" The wizard was about to use his powers to send the man out of the window but then… just then when the wind entered the library and the window was opened. The principal of the Academy was shoved outside the window, however, the idiot Druon that was now laughing for a second, realized that he was tied with a chain to that man too.
"Idiot!"
The two were sent outside from the immense power of the wind. So far away that it will take days to see them again. Hopefully, they come back before the end of the week or they will have to offer an explanation to the Queen of Lith for not finishing their duty.
However, they were not the only ones cleaning the tower, nor the only ones complaining about the menial task of cleaning.
"Sigh… Princess Anne," Tia was going through what is called, a phase of desperation and anxiousness, her princess was tasked to clean the books on the second floor of the library, however, she was not even near to finish with the first five books. "You should keep cleaning, or you won't finish by the end of the week."
"Sigh…" Anne was flickering the last page of the book she started cleaning an hour ago. "This is just too entertaining, why didn't I know that they had such variety in here?"
Tia could only sigh again. Her princess became engrossed in every book, and so she stopped reading every time her hands touched a new one.
"Princess…" Teacher Lena approached the young lady that was now cleaning her sixth book from the Founder Tower library, "we should talk."
"Teacher Lena, are you competing with me too?"
Anne came down the stairs with carefulness with the help of Tia.
"No," she said with a little sigh, "I don't even know why am I on the list to compete."
"What do you mean, Teacher Lena?"
"I was in another contest before, that time Hugo helped me, but this year I don't know why are we on that list."
Anne narrowed her eyes and looked at her belly. Teacher Lena followed her gaze and jumped. There was a strange glint in her eyes and she had to cover her mouth with her hand in surprise.
"Teacher Lena, you should go to the infirmary for…" she didn't have to say it twice when the teacher ran out from the library.
Anne could only sigh and give up a few months without her delicious fruit tarts. Well, after all, they will be given to a certain pregnant math teacher.
"Tia, is there any more of those reports?"
"Yes, but…"
"What is it?"
"I checked the register of students and there is no one with the descriptions or name of this person. Even the places filled in here are out of the ordinary, I've never heard of them."
"Let me see," Anne extended her hand to receive the papers.
"Beth?"
[Beth Morrison,
If geniuses could be identified from younger ages, then they would be certainly a wonder in their families, their towns, their countries. They will grow up to amaze the world, and they will certainly receive all the praise, fame, and rewards they deserve for their contribution to the world.
However, if they are not treated with care and grow up in an environment of pain and suffering, then maybe their talents would go on different paths.
Beth… that was the name of the poor orphan that was left in the worst place of them all, the house of the Morrison's. They took her in, even if the correct thing to do was to bring her to the authorities.
Their idea of parenting was to make her learn the basics, to clean, to sweep, to wash. Even to make food for them and serve them as her masters.
She was told that she was born to do that and that she should be grateful to them for letting her stay there when she was no one.
She planned everything with care, and just when the Morrison family went to sleep, the two parents, the stupid son and the annoying daughter. She used that moment to take the little knife she had been keeping in secret and opened the locks on the chains.
She escaped… finally, she escaped.
She walked for days on the cold streets, however, she never stopped. The roads were large, and she knew that she didn't have food or shelter. Many times she thought of returning to that house, but her pride stopped her.
Then… one day as her feet took her to the nearby market to steal a piece of bread and some fruits. She didn't escape fast enough, far enough.
She was caught.
The lady that was about to smack her and send her to the police station, was stopped by a little boy with emerald shining eyes. He offered to pay for the food and even took Beth to his house.]
