Chapter 36 The young man in brocade clothes

Gu Huayu wanted to ask about the past again, but seeing that the time was not right, she stopped asking and nodded in agreement, "Don't worry, Dad, go do the work. Xiaoyu will go back to Huangji soon."

"Okay, just hang around and don't go too far." Gu Dechang warned.

Gu Huayu nodded and watched Gu Dechang enter the yamen, then turned and walked forward.

Gu Huayu wandered along the street casually, entered a jewelry store, and bought two jellyfish for Gu Chengjuan, and then bought a hairpin for each of Gu Chengjiao, Guan, and Wang.

Gu Huayu came out of the jewelry store and looked at the things in her hands. She still lacked some gifts from her brothers.

Gu Huayu looked around and saw a shop across the street that bought folding fans. She had an idea and decided to buy a folding fan for each of her brothers.

Gu Huayu walked towards the opposite side of the street. Just after taking a few steps, a wisp of elegant agarwood fragrance came into her nose.

Gu Huayu stopped, took a breath, and turned to look for the source of the fragrance.

"What a handsome little official! Are you tired of shopping? Come on, come and have a rest in the store. We have the best wine and jade dew in the store, and there is also a considerate little beauty who can sing songs to relieve fatigue."

Gu Huayu turned around and saw a woman in emerald green dress approaching the door of the wine shop next to the jewelry shop with a smile on her face and angrily asking for customers.

The woman in green clothes took small steps, holding a pink handkerchief in her hand, and pounced on the young man in moon-white brocade clothes as if she were on stage.

The young man in brocade clothes held a folding fan in one hand and clasped the other behind his back. When he saw the woman in green clothes approaching, he automatically took two steps to the side, avoided the woman's contact, and walked sideways forward.

The young man behind the young man in brocade stepped forward, stood between the woman in green and the young man in brocade, and said in a deep voice: "Stand back!"

The woman in green clothes was stunned for a moment, looked at the young man in brocade clothes sadly, held the handkerchief in her hand and pulled it, and said with an awkward smile: "Okay, okay, step back."

As he spoke, the woman in green took a step back and said unwillingly: "Two officials, our restaurant is the best restaurant in Shicheng, with good wine, good food, and stunning beauties... Are you serious that you don't want to come in and have a seat?"

Gu Huayu's eyes fell on the expressionless young man in brocade clothes. The young man had a tall figure, a face as beautiful as a jade, and eyes as beautiful as stars, looking straight ahead, with a calm and alienated gaze, as if everything around him had nothing to do with him.

When the young man in brocade clothes passed by Gu Huayu, the smell of agarwood came with the wind.

Gu Huayu took a deep breath, looked at the figure that was getting away, and murmured: "You have your own style at a young age, and you are so noble! It's not easy!"

It wasn’t until the white figure disappeared into the crowd that Gu Huayu walked up to the folding fan shop.

Coming out of the folding fan shop, Gu Huayu continued to move forward.

Tired of shopping, Gu Huayu looked for a teahouse to rest.

Entering the teahouse, Gu Huayu found a seat by the window and sat down, ordering a pot of tea and a plate of boiled peanuts in salt water.

Gu Huayu ate a few peanuts, took a sip of tea, and leisurely watched the excitement around her.

Gu Huayu sat idle for about two-quarters of an hour. Just when she was about to raise her hand to ask the waiter to pay, she saw the young man in brocade clothes with eyes like bright stars and beauty like an evil spirit stepping through the door.

Perhaps the noble aura of the young man was too strong, so the waiter stared blankly at him, forgetting that he should step forward to greet the guests.

Gu Huayu sat back again, reached out to pick up the tea cup and continued to drink tea. She thought to herself that meeting him twice a day was considered fate.

Gu Huayu was peeling peanuts in her hands and looking at the young man in brocade clothes with a vague gaze.

The young man looks about fifteen or sixteen years old. He is dressed in white and has a tall and straight posture. He stands with his hands behind his back and waits for the waiter to talk to the waiter with an expressionless face.

It’s great that there is such a clean and extraordinary man in Shicheng!
