The Revenge Turned To Love

Mishi stopped the car in front of the Ultraviolet restaurant. Xian looked at her and asked, "Why did you choose this place?" Mishi smiled and replied, "because this was the place where we first had lunch together two years ago.

When my mom was alive she used to come here with dad. She told me that if in future I will meet my soulmate then bring him here in this restaurant for the first dinner date just like she did to my father."

The emotions Mishi was carrying in her eyes were tremendous. Xian held her hands gently and kissed them. "This means I was destined to be your soulmate, that's why you and I had lunch here two years ago," mumbled Xian. Mishi smiled hearing this and told him that they should go in.

Mishi had already booked a private dining room for them. The staff took them there and told them to enjoy their dinner. Xian pulled out the chair for Mishi and gestured to her to sit. Mishi sat on the chair while Xian pushed it inside. The dim light of candles was falling on the two faces.

"It seems like only we two are in this world," mumbled Xian while slicing the pieces of fried fish. He put the plate in front of Mishi and told her to eat. Mishi poured the red wine in the two glasses and put one glass before him on the table.

"Let's eat then," mumbled Xian. Mishi nodded and they both started eating. Xian was eating less, looking more at Mishi.

"Don't you want to eat?," asked Mishi and looked at him. Xian shook his head in refusal and murmured, "It's enough to see you eat. My stomach will be full once you'll finish your meal." Mishi giggled hearing this and put the fork on the plate. She turned her gaze to Xian.

"But I won't feel good if you won't eat properly on our first dinner date. So you've to eat with me," stated Mishi. Xian smiled hearing this and picked up his fork and started eating. Mishi too continued eating. Suddenly Xian gave a laugh and Mishi asked about that.

"I'm recalling the day when you ate all 22 cuisines. For the whole day I was thinking that time how did you do that. I think that was the time I started liking you because in my life I've never seen a girl eating so much just to save the food from wasting," mumbled Xian.

"I was not that rich that time. 500$ meant a lot to me and they still mean a lot to me," snapped Mishi at him. Xian smiled hearing her answer and picked the wine glass. He took small sips of wine and said, "you know everything about me."

"Of course. I love you so I must know about your likes and dislikes," murmured Xian. Mishi was done eating so she took a few sips of red wine. "Why are you looking so beautiful?," mumbled Xian.

"You always say the same thing but I remember that you always used to say to me that I'm the ugliest," snapped Mishi at him again.

Xian put his hand beneath his tilted forehead and supported it from the table. "I used to lie to myself. I always found you beautiful but then I didn't want to accept the truth." Xian explained himself. He then stood up from his chair and walked best her. Putting her hands on her shoulder he made her stand up.

Mishi turned to him. Xian grabbed her both hands lovingly and then put the ring on her left hand finger. Mishi looked into his eyes without even blinking for a second. Xian lightly kissed her both hands and then turned his gaze to her.

"Let's get married. I can't even wait for a second without you. I want to hold you and be with you in every second, in every moment. I want to make your happiness thousands fold. The pain you have felt all these years I want to erase it from your memories. You complete me and my heart flutters in a strange way whenever I see you or think about you." Xian proposed to Mishi in the most loving way possible.

Mishi smiled and kissed his cheek. "Xian, we will marry soon. Let's love each other more so that these memories get embedded in our minds." She caressed his face in a loving way. "Xian, I feel the same things for you. In words, I can't express them." Xian gave her the ring for him and told her to put it in his finger.

Mishi nodded and put the ring on his finger. Xian giggled seeing the ring in his finger. "I always wanted to have these couple rings in our fingers. Do you know the meaning behind this?," asked Xian looking at Mishi.

"It joins two couples' heartstrings," mumbled Mishi. Xian shook his head in refusal. "But everyone says this," murmured Mishi.

"But the meaning I've taken behind this is something else. It means whenever your eyes fell on this ring, you recall the special moment of your life with your lover. If you're happy then you become more happy seeing this but if you're sad then the first thing you recall is the day when your lover proposed to you.

So, in simple words these rings make you happy and never let you forget the day." Xian explained to her. Mishi was overwhelmed by hearing his explanation.

"Do you want to eat more?," asked Xian and laughed. Mishi refused and told him that they should leave now. Xian nodded and they left from there. They were walking on a pavement which was full of trees. Both of them holding each other's hands.

Xian after some time put his hand on her waist and pulled her towards him, closing the gap between them. Mishi hit his shoulder and said, "people are watching them." But Xian didn't listen to her.

"Let them see. They must see that this beautiful woman is my soulmate," mumbled Xian and kissed her cheek. Mishi smiled hearing this. The two kept on walking on that pavement when Xian told her that he wanted to tell her something since long.

Mishi turned to look at him. "Speak then. Don't let it stay inside your heart," mumbled Mishi. Xian looked into her glowing eyes and thought not to tell her parents' murders' truth to her now as she was extremely happy.

"I love you," mumbled Xian. Mishi smiled and said, "this thing you tell me tens of times in a day." Mishi told him and ran ahead of him. Xian became happy at her act and ran after her.

They both reached a nearby public garden. Mishi sat on the grassy floor and Xian sat beside her. Mishi put her head on his firm shoulder. The cool breeze was blowing in the garden and the flowers on the trees falling down which made the sight magnificent.

"Look at the stars. There are many constellations visible in the sky," mumbled Xian. Mishi looked at the night sky and smiled.

"They are many light years away from us. Even if we travel at the speed of light we won't be able to reach there in a few days. But do you know one thing which is the most beautiful thing about stars?," asked Xian.

"No." Mishi simply refused.

"The shine from those stars still guides us and tells us that we can reach them. Mishi it's like the shine in your own heart. When you're in love whatever situations come in the way, the shine of your lover's heart tells you that you can go to him/her irrespective of the distance between them."

Hearing Xian's understanding of love, Mishi raised her head up from his shoulder and said, "Xian, that's why the shine of our heart made us go to each other." Xian looked at her and nodded.

She then laid down on the grassy ground and looked at the stars. Xian too laid beside her and stretched his arm out. "Mishi put your head on my arm, else you'll feel uncomfortable," mumbled Xian.

"Your hand will get numb, it's fine," murmured Mishi. Xian didn't listen to her and put her head on his arm. "My arms are strong," mumbled Xian. Mishi snuggled close to her and they looked at the sky.

The breeze was making flower petals to blow here and there. "We should make our room like this. It's so mesmerising here," mumbled Mishi. Xian smiled hearing her. "My most mesmerising thing is always beside me. She is my star, my shine and my everything," murmured Xian.

"You're buttering too much," murmured Mishi.

"I'm saying the truth. Don't you believe me?," asked Xian. Mishi raised her head and then looked into his eyes. "I believe you, Xian." She again laid down and they both looked at the night sky for a while before leaving for their home.
