The Revenge Turned To Love

Zhao was sitting on the mini couch with his head on its crook when he heard the voice of Zhu Rui who had woken up. He opened his eyelids to see her. "Sorry, I was-"

"What if I die? Then you would have to say sorry to me? You are getting meaner day by day. The Zhao whom I used to love is not anymore you," Zhu Rui snapped at him.

"It was a mistake. I did not push you off willingly," Zhao asserted. Zhu Rui chuckled and averted her gaze. "Why are you crying? You started things. You were the one who-"

"Yes, I know I am the one who said that I hate her for making my husband head over heels for her. Try to get into my shoes and then you will see why I hate her. Now, let me tell you something—you blame your dad for not setting up you with her. But you are wrong. Your father talked with Mishi's father but he did not want her to marry you. You always blame people," pronounced Zhu Rui.

"I wonder how do you know so many things? Dad told you this but he did not tell me" he took a deep breath and said, "let's not argue else you will get hurt."

"Why would I get hurt? Argue with me over this. Let's end it today. I cannot do anything unless that woman goes away from your mind. I wish she could die that time," Zhu Rui muttered in anger.

"Have you lost your mind? How could you say such a thing to her? Just say to me if you have something. At least do not drag her in our fights," Zhao asserted.

"Why should I not drag her? Why did she message you in the morning and advised you on your marriage life? Is she a whore who plays with men's hearts," Zhu Rui spoke angrily. Her eyes were red and it was crystal clear that she had developed more hatred towards Mishi.

"Take back those words. I cannot believe you will stoop this low. It is not her fault that you are not able to take a place in my heart and after today I have completely shut those doors for you," stated Zhao and got up from the couch.

Zhu Rui got angrier upon hearing his words. She got up from the bed and went to him, grabbed his hand thus stopped him from going out from there. "I am getting madder by all of this. You are arguing with me over that girl. I thought to respect her but after you said those things to me- I am thinking of calling her and telling her how she destroyed my life! She used you and threw you aside. Stupid wench!" Zhu Rui grumbled.

Zhao jerked off her hand and left the room. Zhu Rui started crying when she looked up for her phone. "How dare she destroyed my Christmas and my life?!" she murmured while weeping. She picked the phone from the table and called her number.

Mishi answered her call after a few rings. "Zhu, I am outside. I will call you-"

"You wench!" Zhu Rui said this from the other which made Mishi stopped from speaking anything. She heard the weeps of Zhu Rui and got worried about what could have happened there.

Getting herself together Mishi spoke, "Zhu Rui, I do not know what happened but-"

"Just shut up, you whore! You are enjoying Christmas there and you destroyed my life. Who told you that you can talk with my husband after he got married. Is Xian not giving you enough pleasure and money that you are after my husband. That is why I hate you. You played with his heart a few years ago and when you did not see him useful you shoo him away and started seducing Xian Zhang.

Because of you Zhao and I are not able to live happily. Why did you not die that day? Now, I found why Bai wanted to kill you because you destroy the lives of the people, wench! You-"

Before she could say furthermore, Zhao snatched the phone away from her. "Mishi, I am sorry-"

"Look, how my husband came to rescue her? Wench" Mishi heard saying Zhu Rui such words and cut the call immediately. Tears formed in her eyes and she stumbled in her steps. Xian who was with his mother, saw Mishi acting strange so he went to her and put his hand on her shoulder and stood in front of her to look at her. 

"Mishi," he said and saw the tears on her cheeks.

"What happened?" Xian asked and looked at her phone. He embraced her by holding the back of her head and buried her face in his chest. On the other hand, he took the phone and saw the incoming call was from Zhu Rui. He immediately dialed her number when Zhao answered the call.

"Sorry, Mishi. Zhu was in anger. It is not your fault so do not think over this. Please forgive me" when Xian heard the words of Zhu Rui from the back- "that whore is again calling you. Die, you-"

"Tell her to stop else I will tear her mouth. Whatever is going on between you two do not involve my wife in this." Mishi held Xian's hand when he looked down and saw Mishi was gesturing to her not to say anything. Xian's heart broke into pieces seeing Mishi crying. "Tell her because of Mishi, I am sparing her else she will rot in jail in her entire life." Saying this Xian cut the call, put it inside his pocket, and cupped Mishi's tiny face in his hands.

"Don't cry because of someone else. Take out those words from your mind. You know that I love you so that should matter yours in your life. My words are supreme for you, okay." Xian stated while wiping the tears off her cheek. The guests there looked at them and started whispering how cute couple they are!

"Dad is telling something to mommy," Samuel said who was holding the little finger of Lau Lan.

Mishi started sobbing as she hugged Xian tightly. "I have never thought I would be the reason for someone's unhappiness. I never took advantage of him. If I knew, he was-"

"Shhh, do not speak. Do not even think. You are the reason for my happiness, our family's happiness. Do not think about a third person who does not even matter in our life, okay?" Xian said and looked for confirmation in Mishi's eyes.

"Why is she crying?" Yuwan wondered when Xian from the far end said in a loud voice that he was leaving with Mishi. Lan Zhan gave a thumbs-up when they both left from there. "Samuel will think-"

"He has uncles and aunt who will take care of him. Do not worry. Let's go," saying this Xian grabbed her by the wrist and walked out of the party hall. "Mom & dad are going," Sam said.

"They have gone to bring some gifts for you," Lau Lan told Sam who got delighted.

Outside the party hall, Xian made Mishi sit inside the car and drove away. "We never went for a long drive. Let's go today on a long drive," said Xian. Mishi nodded, giving a faint smile to Xian.

He kept driving on the long highway, while the cool cold breeze was blowing from the window. He played a romantic song too to relax Mishi who was looking outside the window.

After two hours of drive, Xian stopped it on the Riverside of Chaobai River. The music stopped and there was complete silence between the two. After a few minutes, Mishi got down the car. Xian too followed her. She was walking on the side of the large riverbed, looking at it. Xian quickly took off the long coat he was wearing and put it around Mishi.

A smile escaped from Mishi's mouth and she turned her head to look at him. "You will get cold," Mishi said and almost took off the coat when Xian stopped her. "Did I not tell you I am immune to cold?" Xian said with a smile.

"Yes, you told me earlier. But I do not want my Xian to catch a cold in any condition," Mishi asserted.

"Your Xian?" Xian mumbled and smiled.

"Are you not mine?" Mishi inquired.

"I am yours," Xian replied and placed his lips on Mishi's forehead. Taking a deep breath he said, "you make me feel special. Do not think the words of a person about you apart of me. I am the only one to whom you have to listen every time," stated Xian. Mishi nodded and rested her head on his chest. "You are always beside me to protect you. I am overwhelmed by this feeling," she said and then raised her head to look at Xian.

They were staring into each other's eyes when Mishi rose on her toes and kissed Xian. Xian's hands circled her back, and the two kept kissing each other till they gasped for air.
