The Revenge Turned To Love

Xian reached the court, in the marriage department along with Mark and Lau Lan. Lan Zhan wasn't able to come as he had to go to another city for some reason. "Xian, are you sure? I mean you can still stop this. Think once again," said Mark looking at Xian with a concerned look.

"She wants this. I never wanted to let her go but she deserves happiness. I want her to be happy and seeing her happy I'll be happy," said Xian. Lau Lan looked at him and said, "What about the pain you will go through after this? I don't want to lose my friend again." Lau was worried and wanted to stop this divorce but the last night talk with Mishi has changed his mind. He has understood that Mishi is firm in her decision. Now he just wants Xian to try once more but Xian has also given up.

Mishi arrived there with Yuwan after an hour. Xian's and Mishi's eyes met with each other. Both studied each other's emotions but then Mishi turned her eyes away to her lawyer and started talking with him. The divorce procedure started. Both parties' lawyers explained the things to the judges.

"So you have both decided not to give a second chance to this marriage?," asked the head judge. He looked at both of them. Xian looked at Mishi. Somewhere in his heart he wants to hear from Mishi's mouth that they don't want the divorce. But Mishi said, "Yes, it's our mutual decision to divorce each other. We don't want to be in this relationship because we don't have trust." A tear fell from Xian's eye but he immediately wiped it off.

"Mr Zhang do you agree with her?," asked the head judge. Xian turned his head to the judge and replied a yes.

"You both have decided not to give each other any asset. Mishi Xin doesn't want any money or property from Mr Zhang. Are you sure?," asked the other judge looking at Mishi.

"Yes, I don't want anything," replied Mishi.

"Since you both have mutual agreement on this then this bench will declare you as divorced. Please sign on the papers," said the head judge. Mishi without wasting any second signed the papers. The lawyer brought the papers on Xian's desk. He looked at Mishi's signature. With trembling hands he signed the papers. The bench declared them divorced and dismissed them. The lawyers and judges left the place.

Mishi too left from there with Yuwan.

Xian took the steps to run after her when Lau Lan grabbed his arm and said, "don't go. You both are divorced now. There is no meaning left." This is the truth, the bitter truth which Xian doesn't want to accept. "Let me talk to her once," said Xian with teary eyes.

"Then what? You will again hurt yourself. Let her go now. Accept this truth and forget about her," said Lau Lan looking into Xian's eyes. Xian released Lau Lan's grip from his arm and then left from there. Both Mark and Lau followed him. They reached the parking when Xian saw a piece of paper of his car's bonnet. He picked it up and started reading it.

Because I used to love you in the past so for that sake I just want you to forget about me. Find a girl better than me who will cherish you and love you. In this small reunion of ours I found that you almost neglected the Maximus. You can't do this now because my reason to leave you two years ago is to save your company. So don't neglect your company. Go back to the home where mother is waiting for you. My siblings will no longer be with you. You can meet them if you want to. The ongoing project of ours will be taken over by Ms Xia, additional director of TMS.

Xian crushed the letter in his hand. Mark told him to get into the car and he sat on the backseat. Tears weren't leaving his eyes. "Take me to the house and please don't come for a few days….Please," said Xian. Lau Lan gestured to Mark to do so. They left from there in the car. Dropping Xian to his house they left from there. Xian took his car from there to go to Mishi's house. But there was no one in that house. He called Yuwan but he didn't pick up his call. So he decided to wait outside Yuwan's house for Mishi. After four hours Yuwan arrived there in his car and saw Xian sitting outside his house. He parked the car and got out of the car.

Xian walked near Yuwan and asked," where's Mishi?"

"She has left the city," said Yuwan and told him to come inside the house to talk further. Once they got inside Xian kept on asking Yuwan about Mishi but he didn't tell him.

"You told me that day I shouldn't let her go. I did that, I tried hard but she left the city? Why? Where is she?," asked Xian with teary eyes.

" Xian, forget about her. She doesn't want to encounter you in any of the cases so she has left this city. I can't tell you where she has gone," said Yuwan with a seriousness on his face. Xian got up from the couch and said, "she hates me to this level?"

Yuwan looked at him and said, "she doesn't hate you. It's just she lost hope in this relationship." Xian looked at Yuwan and then without saying anything he walked out from there. He looked at the letter she had left for him. He came out of his house and saw Mark and Lau Lan.

"We know you won't listen to us," said Mark and held Xian's arm and pushed him inside the car. "I can drive my car," said Xian looking at Mark. "The driver will bring your car tomorrow," said Mark and closed the backseat door. He sat beside Lau Lan who was on the driver seat. Lau Lan started the engine and drove away from there.

"Mishi has left the city," said Xian and started crying. He put his palms on his eyes and was crying out loud. Lau Lan stopped the car hearing his cryings. Mark and Lau turned to Xian "It is hurting so much. I thought that she would return to me but she did the opposite. Not only she left the city. Do you know what she told me that I should find myself a girl who can actually love me. How can she say such a thing before leaving? I just want to die. First Bai betrayed me and now Mishi left me. I should've trusted her," said Xuan. Mark went back to his seat and embraced Xian into a hug.

"Xian, we can't change some things. It's not your fault that Mishi left you. You tried your best, you tried your best Xian but Mishi couldn't see your worth. Don't talk about dying and stuff," said Mark with teary eyes. Lau Lan and then started the engine of the car. After a two hours drive they reached the home. Lan Zhan was also at home waiting for them. Seeing Xian he got up from the sofa. Xian rested on the sofa with his head laid back.

"Please don't disturb me for a while. I don't want to listen to anything," said Xian. Lau Lan gestured to Lan Zhan and Mark to go inside the room so they left from there. Lau Lan sat on the opposite sofa to Xian.

"Lau I don't want any lecture from you either," said Xian but Lau Lan didn't leave his place. Hours passed by like this and the night engulfed the sky. Mark and Lan Zhan didn't come out of their rooms and Lau Lan was on his place intact.

Xian got up from the couch and went to the kitchen. He took out beer cans from the fridge and came back to the living room. He started drinking the beer while Lau Lan was just observing him. One, two, three, ...like this he kept on drinking while Lau was just looking at him. He drank more than a dozen beer cans.

He got up to take more when Lau grabbed his arm and said, "Let's stop and now let's have a talk." Xian was going to jerk his hand when Lau said, "will you again go crazy just because of a woman who doesn't even care about you."

"Haha...Why would she care about such a useless man?," asked Xian. His eyes were red because of crying.

"How are you useless? Tell me. She would have trusted you the day Yin was blackmailing you, she would've told you the things beforehand. It's simple the trust wasn't from both the sides.

You cared for her but it was her decision to separate the paths from you. Don't you want to move on? Do you want to be Xian which you have made yourself for the last two years?

I want my friend to be strong enough. You've also your family, your mother and your brother which you've abandoned for two years. Why? Because of Mishi. Did she care about your family a little bit in these two years? I know she saved your company but Xian what's the use in this when your entire family is destroyed.

Her family is doing good but your family is getting destroyed day by day. She indeed helped you but her help came with a revenge. Your entire family is destroyed just because you both never trusted each other."

"You seem less like a doctor," said Xian and smiled.

"Today I'm talking to you as a friend not as a doctor. I can't see my friend ruining his life because of a woman. Your family also needs you, especially your mother," said Lau Lan. Xian looked at Lau Lan and then walked towards his room.
