Luo Yan booked a C KTV bar for their second destination this Saturday night. It's one of the most luxurious KTV bars in B city. Before they came here they already had the birthday dinner at his father in law's restaurant. Song Lixia's father has a luxury Chinese restaurant chain spread all over the country.

Luo Yan took over his family business. From small stores selling Chinese delicacies and healthy food, he expanded the business into importing bird nests and exporting abalone to South East Asia. The bird nest he imported was sold into many upper class Chinese restaurants all over the country. He became the sole bird nest supplier for Song Lixia's family restaurant. That's how he met his wife and now they are already married for seven years and have a lovely six years old daughter.

Song Lixia then expanded her restaurant family business and both of them built their own western style restaurant kingdom. They hired talented chefs from the original foreign country, and targeted high class society.

Tonight, all of them gather together to celebrate Jian Kang Lu's birthday.. There are twelve of them. Five of them bring their wives to this party. Their wives also have good relationships with Jian Kang Lu. Huang Yin, the only female in their original group, divorced four years ago and stayed single until now. She was also a nephrologist. That's why it becomes a private joke between them, that nephrologist fated to be alone.

The karaoke room is big enough to fit around sixteen people. There are V shaped luxurious dark brown sofas with small square pillows on top of them. The big chandelier at that oval ceiling hung above three glass tables. The square glass tables illuminated with warm yellow light from inside. The back wall is styled with shelves and lots of prop books inside. Small lamps hung on them. Overall ambience is the warm luxurious living room style. 

This KTV is famous for their luxurious themed room. The huge screen hung in the opposite wall has a futuristic model with high end sound system technology.

Jian Kang Lu sat in the middle. His friend's evil nature already popped up even though they are not yet choosing songs. Huang Yin asks for a few attendants to accompany them singing. It was important to know that all of them are horrible singers. So they have few attendants who can sing well to save their own eardrum from constant out of tune notes.

These attendants often accompany this group, and they know how to behave themselves. They were hired only for singing, and these groups are not to be offended. One female attendant used to overact and try to seduce Jian Kang Lu, she was blacklisted right away. Why bother to offend these people, they give very generous tips for them each time they visit this KTV.

Hongjia ordered three bottles of the most expensive whiskey at the KTV for them, agave tequila and wines for the ladies. When the attendant finishes her 1st song, the liquor is ready to serve. This group wildly coerced Jian Kang Lu to drink and sing. Jian Kang Lu can hold his liquor well, and he starts to drink two glasses of whiskey plus one glass of tequila.

After one hour, most of them are tipsy already. The out of tune they sang starts to sound better under the alcohol influence. Zhen Guo and his wife, Luo Jiao, start to sing some old dance songs and do their chicken dance duet. The others follow them and they do their own signature dance. Monkey dance, snake dance, peacock dance.

Luo Jiao dragged Jian Kang Lu into the floor and they did Jian Kang Lu's signature dance, the donkey dance. The attendants just politely sit down and clap their hands, enjoying this performance.

Hong Jia starts to wildly hopping and dance around, throwing money to his friends. "Come, this young master need to spend his unlimited allowance. Give me your best hips shake! Shake that hips, baby!" His wife dances alongside him and gives him more money from her purse to throw around.

If someone comes inside the room now, they won't believe that this bunch of wild and crazy people are upright citizens and very calm in real life. Huang Yin starts to do her snake dance. It was supposed to be a sexy dance, but she did it comically and looks like worms wriggling around from up to down the floor.

Jiang Kang Lu is really good at choosing best friends. He has a lot of friends, but not many in their private circle. All of them know how to enjoy themselves without going too far. All of them hate drugs and prostitutes. They are also faithful companions to their partner. That's why the wives of this circle also love to hang out together.

It was hard to find good party companions that appreciate your nerd and crazy side without judging or take advantage of them.

The money thrown on the floor later will be collected by the attendant. It was supposed to be the part of their tips. They don't mind collecting the money from the floor. Usually these groups also help to collect the money and give polite apologies to them if they offended them. Who has time to feel offended if these money is equal with their 1 week whole tips combined.

Jian Kang Lu sat down and wiped his sweat from his forehead with tissues. Song Lixia sat next to him. She asks, "So, do I have the privilege to know the details of your next week visit to my restaurant?"

Jian Kang Lu turns his head, and answers "It's just a favour to my friend. He's an architecture student, and has some projects about restaurants. Yours is an excellent one, i think he can learn a lot from it. I remember Zhen Guo himself designed that restaurant."

"Yes it was, since that was my first restaurant. I want it to be the best in the city. Zhen Ge helps us a lot at that time. But, Jian Ge.. You never asked these kinds of things before. Who was this friend? Seems i don't know him yet?" Song Lixia asking this question with one of her eyebrows lifted.

Jian Kang Lu took mineral water from the table and drank half of it. "Yes, none of you met him before. It was just an acquaintance I met recently. He was a promising young man. I can't help offering him a visit to your restaurant when I heard that he took the restaurant as his term project."

Song Lixia silence for a while, and finally talking to him again with a soft voice. "I trust your judgement towards a person, Jian Ge. If you don't mind, I would like you to introduce this person someday. When you're ready." She then poured some tequila into her glass and Jian Kang Lu's glass.

"Toast Jian Ge, I sincerely pray your year ahead filled with all the blessings a life can unfold."

Jian Kang Lu smiles at her, toasting and finishing his drink. He then says nothing more.

Chen Rong came down and sat next to him also. He brought the whiskey bottle in his hand and poured some in the empty glass in front of Jian Kang Lu. After that he poured some to his own glass. "Kang Lu, come have a toast with me. Wish you had a blast year ahead, and pray for my research this year."

Both of them toast the glass and finish the drink in one gulp. Jian Kang Lu asked him, "Do you need some sponsor? I think the pharmaceutical company in my last research is generous enough. Do you need their contact?"

Chen Rong shakes his head. "No, I have one already. But the clinical samples needed this time are quite large. Maybe it will take more than one year to collect the samples." Chen Rong is a paediatrician, and focused on rare diseases. It's hard to collect samples from rare disease patients. That's why not many doctors want to take this subspecialty. The treatment cost is also very expensive.

Chen Rong turned his head into Song Lixia. "How about my niece? She's doing well? Since I never saw her this year in my clinic I assume she's doing perfectly fine. Don't forget her vaccination schedule next month."

Song Lixia pouring wine for herself, took some sip and answered. "Yes Doctor Chen, your niece is very healthy this year. Thanks to you. I remember the vaccination supposed to be in early December. I'll ask you before the time."

Chen Rong's wife starts to sing a girl band song, and some of the attendants accompany her. She acts coquettish with a discordant cute voice. The overall effect looks like a parody from the girl band music clip.

Her husband stood up and said, "When the captain sings, this husband definitely needs to be a groupie." He then joined her and started to ask for a photograph together and some signatures. Then Chen Rong started to dance as the background dancer for his wife.

This pair of pediatricians really knows how to have fun. That's why they are famous among their patients. Children tend to be afraid to go to the doctor. But when your doctor is funny and knows a lot of jokes, these children will forget that they visit a doctor. When the children are not afraid, they will take their treatment diligently and do their checks up regularly.

Hongjia came to sit next to him, and Luo Yan sat next to her wife, Song Lixia. Hongjia pour the whisky into Jian Kang Lu's glass and Luo Yan's glass. They toast and finish the whiskey. They chat a bit and sing their favourite song together, Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi. Their harmonious voice shows how much they sang this song together before.

Chen Rong poured another whiskey to him, and asked Jian Kang Lu to sing blue and white porcelain by Jay Chou together with him. They finished that glass of whiskey while singing.

After the song finished, Hongjia started to hold the third whiskey bottle and wanted to pour it on Jian Kang Lu's glass again. "You guys, please go easy on my liver. I think I have finished one bottle by myself already!" Jian Kang Lu clumsily tried to close his glass when he saw Hongjia want to pour some more.

"Donkey ass, you need to drink more to spill all your secrets. I can see you're not drinking enough. Who was the one that made you hang up your phone last month and didn't even call me again after that? I keep waiting that day like a maiden stood up by an ungrateful bastard!!!"

Song Lixia and Luo Yan perk their ears upwards hearing Hongjia's statement. They look at each other, and their minds speak in unison. It seems this is the same mysterious person who will visit their restaurant next week.

Jian Kang Lu's eyes were already a bit glossy and drifted around. He was definitely drunk. He waved his hand to Hongjia, closed his eyes and said with a soft lingering voice, "It's my future kitten."

All of them suddenly became a bit sober when they heard that statement and gave a beam to Hongjia. 'Good job Hongjia!!! You finally made this man finally reveal his secret!'

They all knew Jian Kang Lu was going for vacation alone last time, and worried a bit. If he wants to have vacation, why not invite them? Even when they already had their small family, they are definitely willing to accompany him if he wants to have vacation. 

Honestly, they worried to see Jian Kang Lu keep working like a robot this past two years. They know how hard it was for Jian Kang Lu when he broke up with Zhang Min. All of them are adults, and they know Zhang Min is a really good guy. It was a bit cruel to put the blame on Zhang Min, but they can't help to curse him inside their mind.

Now finally it seems that their favourite boy is willing to open his heart again. It's been too long…
