The Stars In Your Eyes

Jian Kang Lu saw his kitten's mood being low lately, that's why he proposed for a date today. He starts to drive when Bai Yutang comes inside the car. While driving sometimes he steals a glance at his kitten.

"Are you done, baby? Tired?" Jian Kang Lu worriedly asked.

In a bright mood, his kitten will chatter and ramble without he need to ask. But now that beautiful face only gave him a slight curve on those pale pink lips. The eyes which shone bright now were a bit dimmed.

"Mm.. Done. Have you been waiting for a long time, gege?" His kitten's soft voice finally emerged.

Jian Kang Lu slipped his hand towards his kitten palm and kneaded it a bit. "Rest, i'll wake you up once we arrive."

"Where do we go, gege?"

Jian Kang Lu was not a creative man to visit dating sites. Besides, he's old already. He is only comfortable going to the cinema, to the lounge to listen to some piano play and good liquor, and sometimes to the mall for shopping.

Jian Kang Lu often felt guilty with his kitten. They rarely go out for a proper date. Even his plan to bring his kitten for vacation abroad was denied by his kitten. Busy with school, busy with work. 

Sometimes Jian Kang Lu guiltily cursed why his kitten got his job so soon. At that time, they should take a two weeks tour to Europe and have a short honeymoon there once his kitten graduates.

For today's date, Jian Kang Lu specifically asked the young interns, where do they like to date nowadays. Jian Kang Lu thickened his face when the interns teased him loudly.

"Aw, Doctor Jian wants to go dating? Who's the lucky girl?"

"Take us too, Doctor Jian! We could help you throw rose petals and make your night unforgettable! We are cheap, only need a good plate of steak!"

"Or a B+ for our presentation!"

The residents who saw and heard these youngsters teasing their superior like that could only wipe their sweat and light candles silently for them. Don't they know Doctor Jian is one of the appraisal members for new doctors who want to apply residency here?

Jian Kang Lu saw these young interns who were at the same age with his kitten, saw their naive and lively face, and compared it with his own gloomy kitten. He could only sighed and even felt more guilty.

The thing that scares Jian Kang Lu the most is if his kitten doesn't feel happy with him anymore.

Because of this, Jian Kang Lu magnanimously forgives this impolite manner and listens to their advice seriously. One of the places they recommend is The Place.

It was well known because of the Sky Screen. It was a 250 meters long and 30 meters wide LED screen placed above as the canopy. The brilliantly colourful LED makes The Place the brightest star in the area.

They visited The Place already, but at that time they didn't stroll around to admire the scene. They usually go there to dine or go shopping.

Jian Kang Lu didn't answer his kitten and only smiled. Actually he felt it was cheap to bring his kitten there. What he had in mind for a date is dine in a good private restaurant. Maybe even hired a pianist to accompany their dinner.

But.. That's an old man dating style. Today, he wants to try a youngsters dating style.

"Go to sleep if you are tired, the road is packed today." Jian Kang Lu softly patted his kitten's head, rubbed his soft hair.

"Mmm.." Bai Yutang has been really tired lately. Then he remembered his lover's birthday. "Ah, I took 1 day leave on your birthday, gege. Do you want to go somewhere to celebrate?"

"Really?" Jian Kang Lu abruptly turned his head to look at his kitten. He saw his kitten's face brightened to see his surprised face and chuckled.

"It is true, gege. Why should I lie? I'm all yours 24 hours on your birthday."

Now Jian Kang Lu's brain works fast. It's only 24 hours. If they go somewhere far, they will waste time on the plane. This means the place is limited inside the city. In a short 5 minutes Jian Kang Lu already listed places they could go. They could spend one night outside and enjoy different scenery other than their apartment.

"How about we go to Y lake? We could book a room there for one day." Jian Kang Lu excitedly said to his kitten.

Bai Yutang was tired, his day was bad, but to see his lover's face right now, he felt all his fatigue gone without a trace.

"Yes, gege. Let's stay there. I'll book the hotel." He smiled.

"No no no, let me. You only need to come along as my birthday gift."

"Do I need to wrap myself with a big red ribbon as your walking birthday gift?" Bai Yutang teased Jian Kang Lu. He could imagine this big person beside him wiggling his tail just like a big oversized puppy, too excited just because Bai Yutang took one day leave.

Sometimes Bai Yutang thinks whether both of them are truly cheap? Easily satisfied with small things?

Jian Kang Lu's brain was too excited, and once he heard his kitten say that, he could imagine his kitten's white jade skin, naked, only covered with big red ribbon on his private part, waiting to be opened..

He truly felt he almost had a massive nosebleed at this moment.

"I'm waiting for my living birthday gift then.."

Now it is Bai Yutang's turn to foolishly look at his lover's serious face. It seems he shot his own feet again. Why, why does he need to give this kind of suggestion to his lover?

Once they arrived at The Place, Bai Yutang immediately knew what Jian Kang Lu means by dating today. Even though he never went to this place for a proper date before, it doesn't mean he never heard the girls in his class excitedly share their dating story over there.

Some people say they often met men who proposed to their beloved over there. 

Bai Yutang chuckled when he stepped out from the car. "Is this what i was thinking, gege?"

Jian Kang Lu observed his kitten's face. They never have a proper date in this place because at that time, he didn't dare to walk hand in hand with his kitten. He could only walk side by side.

"You can choose.. We could spend the time here, or watch movies, or go shopping, or just go to have our dinner." He carefully said.

Bai Yutang smiled, and took his lover's hand. "Let's walk and enjoy the show first, then we can have our dinner later."

Jian Kang Lu looked at those slender fingers who wrapped his own hand, foolishly following his kitten's step. Even though he knows his kitten didn't mind showing intimate movement in public, Jian Kang Lu rarely does that. 

If it was not his kitten who took the first move, he wouldn't do that. Except if it was in front of his own family or friends.

"Okay.." He could only respond a few minutes later.

They slowly walked and waited for the show to start. The show on the gigantic screen will replay every 30 minutes.

They talk about small things while walking under the bright colourful LED canopy. Jian Kang Lu tried his luck and slowly released his hand from his kitten's finger, then raised and put it on his kitten's shoulder. Wrapped his kitten's tiny shoulder into his own territory.

By all means, Bai Yutang's shoulder is not really tiny. He's a healthy young man after all. But in Jian Kang Lu's eyes, everything about his kitten is all handsome, cute, and fragile.

Bai Yutang smiled and just walked a little bit closer to his lover. Felt the familiar warmth and scent belonging to his lover to embrace him. They walk slowly without saying many words. Spend every minute in serenity, care not for other's eyes placed at them.

Honestly, for Jian Kang Lu, he didn't really understand why these youngsters like this kind of date. But walking with his kitten, anywhere, is still a dazzling experience for him.

250 meters is short. In the end, Bai Yutang took pity for his lover's confused face. Clearly this man might have gotten this idea from the internet, or his nurse, or his residents, but didn't really understand how to date here.

"Gege, let's go there, drink some coffee?" Bai Yutang pointed at the stylish coffee place.

"Okay!"

Bai Yutang smiled inside to see his lover's face seemed relieved.

Once they reached the cafe and placed their order, Jian Kang Lu slowly placed his hand upon his kitten's hands again. No matter if they meet everyday, kissed everyday, touched his soft skin everyday, it was never enough.

"Baby, can you tell me what disturb you lately? Can i do something to help you?" He asked softly, carefully observing his kitten's face.

The smile of his kitten is a bit flat, "It's okay, gege. Just tired from work. It is still manageable. I'll tell you if i need your help, don't worry."

Jian Kang Lu caresses his kitten's palm softly. Carefully, like touching a 1000 years porcelain vase. Afraid he will break it if he puts a slight force on it.

"At times like this, I hate that I was not Zhen Guo. I can't help you with anything."

Bai Yutang raised his other hand, touch his lover's cheek. He caresses it slowly, looking at the eyes of his lover. The black orb within the peach blossom eyes. The eyes which brightly lit only for him.

"You help me, gege. A lot. Just like now. Doctor Jian spared me his precious time and took me to a romantic date. Whose boyfriend is this? So thoughtful." He smiled and teased his lover.

Jian Kang Lu locked his eyes to stare at the man who gave him the perfect love he never knew existed. He raised his hand, kissed the slender fingers he held lightly. "Your boyfriend. Your man. Your husband.. This man is yours only.. From head to toe, inside and out."
