The Stars In Your Eyes

Bai Yutang really doesn't like New York city. He was surprised to see the traffic jam here. Bai Yutang thought the traffic jam in B city is already bad, but New York is very similar to it.

After Boston, Bai Yutang thought every city in this country won't have traffic jams as bad as B city. But he was wrong.

It took almost four hours from the airport to their hotel. As a result, they reach the hotel at 7 o'clock. Bai Yutang is tired and hungry. But he really likes the hotel Jian Kang Lu chose to stay here. Jian Kang Lu chose the hotel near Broadway, it's very close to Times Square, the heart of New York City.

The hotel is a luxury boutique hotel built in 1905 by architect Stanford White. The architect that also forms the McKim, Mead & White architectural firm.. One of the architects in that firm is the one that designed the Boston Public Library.

Somehow Bai Yutang felt that Jian Kang Lu chose this hotel because he knew Bai Yutang loves buildings with architectural history.

Last night, when they cuddled in the bed before they slept, Jian Kang Lu asked him while caressing his hair gently.

"TangTang, I booked a double bed for our hotel in New York. Do you mind if I change it into a single bed?"

Bai Yutang shook his head, tickling Jian Kang Lu's chin.

"I don't mind, Jian Ge."

Thus tonight Bai Yutang saw this beautiful room. Spacious room with large sofa, and balcony outside the glass door. They can see the view outside, the manhattan jungle of concrete.

Jian Kang Lu told him it was too bad that they came here in winter, or else they can enjoy their breakfast in the balcony. Bai Yutang suggests they can try that tomorrow morning, but Jian Kang Lu refuses it with no room for discussion. He coldly reminded Bai Yutang about his illness last year.

Bai Yutang had a bad premonition that his last year's illness would prevent him from enjoying any winter activities for the rest of his life.

"TangTang, do you want to eat outside or just order room service and eat here? There's a lot of restaurants near this hotel though."

Bai Yutang saw it from the car when they're heading to this hotel. Thus he agreed to eat outside. They just left the luggage and straightly went out again. They can take shower later after dinner.

New York is very crowded. Jian Kang Lu holds Bai Yutang's hand all the time, then just switches into grabbing his shoulder. Bring Bai Yutang closer to him to prevent him being knocked by the other pedestrian.

His kitten is so skinny! Jian Kang Lu is afraid his kitten will be injured if he is knocked down by these crowds.

Bai Yutang missed Chinese food, thus when he saw a small Chinese restaurant while strolling around, he told Jian Kang Lu that he wanted to eat there.

Even though the restaurant is small, it was crowded inside. Bai Yutang smells the aroma of the dishes, and he's glad. The dishes here seem delicious!

When Bai Yutang opened the menu, he was stunned. 40 dollars for one portion of fried rice! It was almost 250 yuan! That price does not even include the tax and tips. Bai Yutang regrets why he chose this place.

But Jian Kang Lu was happy and didn't mind at all. Inside Jian Kang Lu's mind, it was rare for his kitten asking him for something. Even if the fried rice here cost him 4000 dollars he will gladly pay.

Actually, it was an average price in New York city, especially in this area. The area they stayed could count as the most expensive place to stay. Most of the stores and restaurants here have higher prices.

Bai Yutang ordered the Szechuan chicken and rice. He didn't want to order that 40 dollars fried rice! This Szechuan chicken's price is 50 dollars including rice. Bai Yutang sure was a better choice rather than a 40 dollars fried rice.

The taste is acceptable, Bai Yutang tastes a lot better Szechuan chicken compared to this one, and a lot cheaper. But after days of eating western food, he was glad to eat familiar dishes.

When they're back to the hotel, they are already very tired. After bathing, Bai Yutang fell asleep soon after his head touched the pillow. When Jian Kang Lu walked out from the bathroom, he saw his kitten already sleep soundly.

Thus he only rolls under the blanket, scoops his kitten body and places it on his own. Jian Kang Lu doesn't know how he could sleep again in the future if his kitten is not around. Just two nights holding his kitten sleeping, but his body is already accustomed to have this warmth and comfort.

Luckily he already secured Bai Yutang's promise to stay in the apartment instead of moving to the dorm when he starts studying again in the next few months.

In the morning, Jian Kang Lu wakes up from his kitten's movement. These movements…

Jian Kang Lu cursed inside, his little brother responded in an instant. His kitten's snuggle under the blanket, rubbing his chest and shoulder, rubbing that small bud of Jian Kang Lu. His kitten's arms that are circling Jian Kang Lu's waist are moving around, and his legs are rubbing Jian Kang Lu's legs.

Jian Kang Lu still remembers the morning when they did it for the first time. And he really really wants to repeat that moment. But he tried to hold himself, because he needed to assure his kitten that he was not a beast!

His kitten already told him that this is his first relationship. His kitten told him that no one liked him before. Though Jian Kang Lu doubted that, at least he was glad his kitten wanted to give him a chance.

So, if he just pounced this pure kitten now, won't it make his kitten runaway and hate him forever?

Thus, the same moment from that morning repeated again. Jian Kang Lu lay still like a wooden statue, with his right hands gripping the bed sheet tight, trying to do mathematical calculation in his mind to drift this primal desire away.

But his kitten didn't help him at all! Those tiny movements keep repeating, and stir big movements inside Jian Kang Lu's mind.

Finally his kitten wakes up and looks at Jian Kang Lu. Seeing that Jian Kang Lu was already awake, Bai Yutang didn't notice it at first but then he realised. That face, that expression, that eyes, similar with what he saw that morning.

It was not because Bai Yutang didn't want to. But he just didn't know how to, and he was also not confident in his own skill. He knows Jian Kang Lu must have someone else before, and Bai Yutang sure that their skill must surpass him.

Don't even mention skill in bed, Bai Yutang doesn't even have skill in relationship!

So he was just rolling around and mumbling "Good morning, Jian Ge."

Jian Kang Lu woke up, and made him some tea. Bai Yutang said thank you and sipped his tea. They discussed today's plan. Today they will stroll around, then go to central park, and watch Broadway shows later at night.

After discussing their plan, Bai Yutang still saw that expression from Jian Kang Lu didn't falter. Not turning back into the usual gentle expression of him. Bai Yutang told him that he wanted to take a shower if Jian Kang Lu didn't want to take a shower first.

Jian Kang Lu didn't answer him, but then silently nodded.

When Bai Yutang took his clothes from the closet and walked inside the bathroom, suddenly a hand halted the bathroom door. Bai Yutang saw Jian Kang Lu staring at him.

"Mmm, do you want to take a shower first, Jian Ge?"

Jian Kang Lu kept staring at him. Bai Yutang feels awkward.

"TangTang, do you mind if we take shower together?"
