Because Bai Yutang promised his friend to taste his cooking, when Jian Kang Lu picked him up he told Jian Kang Lu that he wanted to go to the grocery store. On the way there, Bai Yutang told Jian Kang Lu about his day.

Jian Kang Lu just listened to his kitten's soft and clear voice that he adored so much chattering about his day. His kitten asked him about his day too. Jian Kang Lu answered and told him about his ordinary day. His day is monotone. Just work, and work.

"If you make lunch for your friends tomorrow, will i get one too?"

Bai Yutang wants to laugh, his lover sometimes really childish and needs a lot of pampering. So Bai Yutang gives a light peck to his lover's cheek.

"Of course. Do you miss bringing lunch I made to the hospital, Gege?"

When they have their dinner, Bai Yutang asks Jian Kang Lu, "This area is really good. I think I heard this apartment was built by Sun Ge. How much did you buy your apartment, gege?"

Bai Yutang opens the lunch box, inside is the steamy white rice, fragrant with jasmine scent. This must be a high quality lunch box, since it can preserve the heat. On top of the rice, there's an Egg Foo Young. The gravy is placed in a container next to the rice. The smells of rice, egg, pepper, and onion are really enticing. Just like a restaurant made dish.

Liu Xiang is the first to try. The gravy originally served on top of the egg. But Bai Yutang feared it would make the egg and the rice mushy, thus it was separated from the rice and the Egg Foo Young.

Liu Xiang dipped the egg into the gravy, then tasted it. His eyes widened, and he couldn't help to sound his surprise. "Wow, husband! You really can cook! This is even better than what my mother usually made."

Tang Yuxuan was curious, so he tried it. And Liu Xiang was right. This is really good, even better compared with the restaurant around the campus. He even can't stop eating this Egg Foo Young. The gravy is a little bit different with the usual sour and sweet gravy. The sweet taste is just subtle, and a bit creamy. The sour taste also complements the crab taste well.

Tang Yuxuan is still chewing excitedly when he says, "Wow, daddy likes this so much. You should cook often for us too! If daddy doesn't know you well, daddy will think that this was bought from some restaurant and you just said you cook this one."

All the ingredients Bai Yutang used are high quality ingredients, of course it can't compare to the restaurant around their campus. 5000 yuan per month is just barely enough if both of them always eat outside according to Jian Kang Lu's standard. But if he used it to cook by himself, 5000 yuan per month is more than plenty.

But, to hear those praises, he was happy. It seems all his hard effort is paid. He wants to cook well for his lover, but he can't expect an honest answer from his lover. No matter how weird the food tasted, or a little burnt, his lover always praised him high.

Hearing all his friends say that they like it, made him relieved and motivated to try a new recipe this Sunday. He always wants to try cooking Ma Po Tofu and the Tea Egg he saw on the internet last time. He knows he can't do great things to make his lover happy with what he has right now. So he could only focus on what he can do right now, simple things he can do.

Bai Yutang smiled to remember what his lover said to him. 

'You make me happy, and ease my hard day.'

Bai Yutang never perceived this kind of happiness he felt right now. Be in love with how your loved one loves you. To see the sky and the clouds differently, to cherish the space and time differently, to hear the bustling city and voices differently, to understand the meaning of love will unite two different souls.

His lover makes him happy. Entirely. Completely. Unconditionally.
