The Stone Faced Boss Is Actually In Love
7 Hallucinating
When Leon heard a knock on the door he was surprised. He couldn't think of anyone he knew that would knock this time of night. When he saw Sierra standing there he was shocked. Then when he heard what came out of her mouth, he thought he might faint. It's got to be a dream. Yes, that was the only explanation.
He pinched himself. Okay, maybe it's not a dream. Maybe I'm hallucinating. But what did I eat to make me do that.
Sierra on the other hand didn't see all this. She was also in shock with what she said. One moment she was in her car and the next she was standing him front of him telling him her feelings. When Leon finally came out of his thoughts he realized she was still standing there. Wether it was a hallucination or not, he couldn't take any chances.
"Come in." Hearing his voice Sierra snapped out of her thoughts. She walked into his place. It was a small apartment which was weird. His salary should pay for something better. Sierra made a mental note to ask about this later. She looked around his apartment. It was slightly messy, but was overall clean. The apartment was filled with his scent. She sat down on his couch.
"Are you thirsty."
"No, I'm ok."
He sat down on the couch making sure to keep distance. The room filled with silence. It was hard to start the conversation. But someone had to take the initiative.
"Why do you want me to marry you?"
Sierra thought about how to answer that.
"I need someone to marry because of my father. He's lining up potential suiters for me." Sierra paused. She didn't want to say the next part, but she needed to. "I..... accidentally said that I as already married. So I need someone to be my husband. I chose you."
Leon was baffled. How could he be her husband. What she said made sense, but at the same time it didn't. He really thought that he ate something bad, but he needed to face reality. "I understand what your saying but why me? There are many people who could be better fitted for this."
"Of course there are other people, but I would feel uncomfortable with them. I also have strong feelings towards you like I mentioned before." Sierra got quieter with the last bit.
A slight blush appeared on her face. Leon could be compared to a tomato. He did remember what she said when she first arrived. Does that mean what he thought it meant. If it did then he could say he liked her back. But it could mean something else. After debating internally, he decided to throw caution to the wind.
"I like you too! And would me honor to be your husband." He heart was pounding in his ears, and blood was rushing to his head.
'Well, sh*t I said it. Might as well die in a hole.'
