I’m the one who got beaten…

The victim is obviously me, but why is he so furious like that? This is all because of Ki Yoon Jae. No, it’s because Sungwoon was behind Ki Yoon Jae.

Since Sungwoon had greater power than his grandfather, he shifted the blame to me- the victim.

Therefore, I had no choice but to give in to the power and apologize humiliatingly. I could feel that my friends, whom I was with, were looking down on me a little.

I feel like shit…

What’s wrong with that beggar?1 Is he ignoring me- his partner who had been with him for decades?

I wanted to get revenge on Ki Yoon Jae.

However, if I was caught doing something to Ki Yoon Jae, my grandfather might really kill me this time. So I was holding back my desire for revenge…

“I am so miserable here; but you’re having fun, right?”

Watching Ki Yoon Jae’s group chatting and giggling in front of me, I grounded my teeth.

I, the victim, became unhappy because I had lost in a power game. Seeing that he was so happy after stepping on me, I got angry.

Let’s hold it in.. hold it in…

I wanted to tear all three of them to death, but I couldn’t. If I had more power, I wouldn’t need to hesitate like this.

Won’t that be okay if it doesn’t trouble him?

Go In-Hyuk grinned thinking that his thoughts were fine. Even if he was caught doing what he did, he thought he could just gloss over it as a joke. The day he would play the prank came soon enough.

“What?”

Yi Joon found a note in the drawer of Yoon Jae’s desk while waiting for him. Yoon Jae was away for a while on Friday after the midterm exams got over.

The note contained Yoon Jae’s memo telling him to come to the old gym because he had something to do.

“What if I didn’t see this? Why didn’t he tell me?”

Yi Joon grumbled and stood up holding Yoon Jae’s bag. He didn’t know why Yoon Jae asked him to come there, but he couldn’t not go when Yoon Jae asked him to come.

“Uh? Yi Joon-ah. Are you going home?”

“Yes.”

“Uh… Really? Goodbye.”

On the way to the old gym, Yi Joon met the class president, who looked strangely at him who said he was going home since he was too lazy to explain everything.

The class president must have felt strange because he didn’t see Yoon Jae, who went with Yi Joon every day. Yi Joon continued to walk, and the class president who passed by him and was returning to the classroom, stopped and tilted his head when he saw the direction in which Yi Joon was going.

“…Isn’t that the direction of the old building?”

The old building was the farthest from the two entrances- the front and back, so there was no reason to go there when going home. In addition, the old building was planned to be remodeled, so there were no people because it was an empty building.

After the class president walked back thinking it was strange, Yi Joon arrived at the gym in the old building.

“…What?”

“Uh? Yi Joon?”

Contrary to what he thought, there was someone else rather than Ki Yoon Jae who he was looking for.

“Jang Eui Yeol? Why are you here?”

“Uh? I… was called by Yoon Jae.”

“What?”

Eui Yeol held out a small folded note from his pocket. The note contained the same content as the note Yi Joon received.

“This…”

Just when he thought something was wrong, he suddenly heard someone locking the door from outside. Surprised, Yi Joon grabbed the door handle and shook it, but the warehouse door did not open.

“…Are we locked up?”

“What?!”

As Yi Joon muttered in despair at the tightly locked door, Eui Yeol, who was surprised, also shook the door. Still, the door remained stuck.

Yi Joon thought he could break the door if he used his power… But, he was also partly worried since he had never used his abilities delicately.

The old building was closed down because it was old, so he thought the warehouse might collapse if he broke the door.

Whether it was declining or not, it seemed unusual to see cracks all over the walls of the warehouse.

“Fuck… What’s going on?”

Yi Joon pulled his cell phone out of his pocket, scratching his head in frustration. However, the screen showed no signal. It seemed to be similar to the appearance when the signal was sometimes cut off in the elevator.

“Damn it! Can you make a call?”

“I don’t have a phone…”

“Such a useless bastard…”

Eui Yeol smiled awkwardly at Yi Joon’s snubbing. Yi Joon shook the door one or two more times in regret, and fell with a sigh. He looked around, but the only place that he could get through was the window for ventilation. The window was so small that it was hard to get out, but Yi Joon stepped on the scattered things on the ground and opened the window.

“Shit! There’s no one passing by.”

Since it was an empty building, there was no reason for people to come here. If he thought about it for a bit, there was no reason for Yoon Jae to call him to this place; Yi Joon blamed himself for being too stupid.

“That idiot doesn’t even know I’m here, but he’ll wait.”

Yi Joon was anxious. This was the second time Yoon Jae had waited for him, and when Yi Joon wasn’t there to take care of his personal security duties, he was worried about what might happen to Yoon Jae.

The raiders also had thoughts about this, so they wouldn’t attack him inside Sungwoon High School, where the children of prominent political and business circles were attending.

If they get caught up in the raid, the raiders could be in big trouble. It was foolish to make several strong enemies just to get rid of Ki Yoon Jae.

However, today was the exam period, and it was time for all the students who took the exams to go home, so the school was not safe either.

Yi Joon had all kinds of thoughts. Are they hiding in the shadows of the power group trying to undermine Yoon Jae?

After thought, it was strange that he and Eui Yeol were also deceived and trapped, but didn’t think of that.

In a hurry, he kicked the door and screamed out the window, but the door was still tightly closed and he couldn’t see the top of anyone’s head through the small window.

He tried to stick his phone out of the open window to get signal, but it didn’t seem to be of much use because the phone still would not work.

“Damn… What should we do?”

Yi Joon tore his hair out and made a fuss while trying every single way but he still couldn’t get out. Eui Yeol also looked around carefully, but there was no way to open the door or get out, so he sighed.

Then a voice came from outside.

“Are you here?”

“Ki Yoon Jae?”

“Yoon Jae-ya!”

“Eh? What? Eui Yeol is also here?”

Yoon Jae was outside. When had returned to the class after work, he thought it was strange when he found no one there.

“What? Did he board the car first?”

This can’t happen. Yi Joon, who had always been waiting for him in the class, could not have gone first without saying a word. At this moment, Yoon Jae was contemplating whether he should go to the main gate because no one was there.

“Oh? Yoon Jae-ya. You haven’t gone home yet?”

“Uh… Class president.”

“Yi Joon said he was going home earlier…”

“What? Woa.. Jung Yi Joon said that?”

Yoon Jae felt sad as he thought this was a complete betrayal, and the class president continued.

“Huh. But strangely, he went to the old building. There is no exit door on that side.”

“Towards the old building?”

After thinking for a while, Yoon Jae said, “Thank you for letting me know,” and left the class. He wondered if there was something going on in the old building.

“I feel uneasy.”

There was currently nothing in the old building. Therefore, there was no reason for Jung Yi Joon to go. However, there was also no reason for the class president to lie.

Yoon Jae had thought about just going to the main gate and waiting for Yi Joon in the car, but for some reason, he had a bad feeling.

“Ah, so cumbersome…”

Why did he go there? Yoon Jae grumbled and headed towards the old building and heard a sound coming from the old gym.

“Why are you guys here?”

“Ah, that’s…”

Yoon Jae pointed at the door tightly bound with chains and asked the two guys from the inside how they came to this place. Yoon Jae, who was listening quietly, couldn’t keep his mouth shut, dumbfounded.

“Hey! I don’t know about Eui Yeol, but Jung Yi Joon, are you stupid? You don’t even recognize my writing?

“How can I recognize that?!”

When Yoon Jae scolded him for not recognizing his handwriting, Yi Joon got angry instead. Yoon Jae didn’t like Yi Joon’s attitude, so he thought about just locking him up like this and letting him shed some tears, but Eui Yeol was also inside along with Yi Joon.

I can’t bully the good protagonist…

I don’t know what bullying might turn into in the future… ‘Whew’, Yoon Jae sighed and looked around. The lock was new, but considering that the chain on which it hung was old and rusty, it seemed that it would break if he put a little strength.

Yoon Jae, who picked up a rock the size of a fist on the ground, shouted.

“Please wait a little! This chain, I think I can break it.”

Then, he smashed the chain with the stone. When he heard the noise outside, Yi Joon shouted in anxiety.

“Hey! Don’t get hurt and call someone else!”

“Yeah, Yoon Jae-ya! What if you get hurt?”

Yoon Jae was a little angry when even Eui Yeol did not trust him. What’s the problem with hitting the chain with a stone? Thinking that he was not being trusted, he ignored the words of the two and continued to hit the chain.

Footnotes

  1. This actually got mentioned a few in previous chapters, but I changed it to ‘that guy’ because used beggar (거지새끼가) as an insult is really strange but then this word appears again and also I don’t know what Hera used so I think Author here mean ‘why KYJ being soft to those poor guys?’ maybe something like this. Well you can correct me if you find it wrong. I’m open to any suggestions.
