The Unsurpassed Maiden

Mi Young, who surprisingly managed to regain control over her own body, immediately ducks down to protect herself from the strong gust of wind. She first thought that it was the faceless woman's doing but seeing as she was reacting badly to the wind, the black haired girl instantly knew that some other party was meddling with the two of them.

Whoever it was, Mi Young had to thank them later.

"What? What is this?" Mi Young can hear the faceless woman struggling as the wind continues to get stronger as each second passes by. "Stop this!"

The black haired girl can hear the cries of the faceless woman as it continues to struggle against the strong gust of wind encircling the both of them. Mi Young herself had to use her Geo technique to ground herself to the floor and to stop the wind from completely dragging her as well.

Mi Young managed to peek between her hands to check what was happening around her and when she finally looked up she saw the faceless woman slowly being dragged by the strong wind back to the door on the left where she came from.

"No! Stop! Stop this!" The faceless woman continued to shout as the wind continued dragging her forcefully back to where she came from. "This can't be!"

Mi Young looks up as the faceless woman is finally at the door's entrance. However, she still kept on struggling, trying to find a way out from the door again. "I am Lucxia! I am the most powerful Mage???"

A man suddenly came out of nowhere and?? stepped beside Mi Young. He then raised one of his hands and controlled the wind by shutting?? down the door in front of the faceless woman. "You talk too much."

The moment the door shuts down, the wind encircling around Mi Young like a tornado earlier vanishes. After that, the two of them were immediately enveloped in a weird yet comfortable silence.

A few moments passed by and none of them were still talking. Mi Young was still trying to process everything that had happened to her and the man was still standing by the door, not moving and just staring at it motionlessly. Mi Young couldn't see his face since his back was facing her but the young student couldn't help but feel like she knew the man.

Finally realizing her pathetic situation, the black haired girl hurriedly stood up from her crouching position and dusted off her clothes. She bows at the man even though she knew the man couldn't see her. And with a shaking voice she says, "T-Thank you for helping me!"

The young student stayed like that until the man turned towards her. She never moved and just kept her head hanging low until she saw two feet standing in front of her.

"Hey. It's fine, you can move now." The man says. Mi Young flinched at the deepness of his voice. For some reason, she thinks she has seen the man before but his voice seemed unfamiliar which just confuses the young girl even more. "You can lift your head now, kid."

When the black haired girl finally turned to face the man, her whole body started shaking and her eyes widened in surprise. "T-Teacher Zhong?"

The man cocks his head to the side like a thinking kid, which is very strange to Mi Young's eyes because she had never seen her teacher do that childish action ever. Then something clicks inside the man's head which can be thoroughly seen through her face. "Ah! You must have mistaken me as my brother Liu!"

"B-Brother Liu? So you're Zhong Y-Yu?" Mi Young asks with widened eyes, completely forgetting about honorifics.

The man in front of her smiled and then bowed to her like a real gentleman. "That's right. Zhong Yu at your service."

The black haired girl swears she would faint right that instant.

"Are you okay?" THE Zhong Yu asks after noticing the young girl's face suddenly turning pale white. Then the man's face contorted from a look of concern to horror. "Oh my god! Did all the wind I produced earlier made you this dizzy? Do you want to vomit? You can vomit here! Oh no not here!"

Mi Young watches in complete confusion while the legend himself starts panicking in front of her. She was very confused as to why the man was the one panicking when in fact it should be her. Zhong Yu went towards her and offered her his shirt, without even looking at Mi Young, the man said, "You can vomit on my shirt. Don't worry it's clean and someone can do the laundry for me. I'm so sorry for causing your head to get dizzy."

The black haired girl was dumbfounded. She doesn't even know how to react to the boy's???ehem???idiocy. When Mi Young finally regained half of her sanity, she gently shook her head and offered the man a small shy smile. "Thank you Mr. Zhong but my head is fine and I'm sure as hell am not going to vomit so you can keep the cleanliness of your shirt."

Zhong Yu cocks his head to the side once more, so different and child-like unlike his brother. "Are you embarrassed of soiling my shirt?"

"No! I mean, yes! But no I'm not going to vomit so I don't need to soil your shirt." Mi Young says while frantically waving her hands in the air, trying to tell the other party that she's fine.

The man studies her for a second before he shrugs, "Okay!"

The black haired girl offered him another shy smile before she started to question, "If I may ask, what are you doing here Mr. Zhong?"

"Call me Zhong Yu, Mr. Zhong sounds really old for someone like me." The man says with a chuckle.

The black haired student just sent him another tight smile upon hearing what he had just said. 'Is thousands of years old not that old for you?' Mi Young wanted to comment but she kept her mouth shut, afraid that the other party might incinerate her right where she was standing.

"Z-Zhong Yu then." The black haired student says. She then looks up at him once more and says, "As I was saying, what were you doing here then? I mean, aren't you busy?"

"Me? Busy? I got so lazy up there!" Zhong Yu says while his eyebrows furrowed. He crosses his arms and with a huff he continues, "The old man is so lazy these days. He kept on looking at his empty scroll waiting for something to happen. I really don't get why he keeps on doing that."

"R-Really? Okay then." The black haired student says. Not knowing what to say next, the young girl decided to just keep her mouth shut.

"Anyway, the old man was the one who sent me here. He said something about Dark Magic meddling with the human realm so he decided to make me go on a little mission."

"The G-Great Sage sent you here?" Mi Young asks in complete astonishment. She doesn't know why her heart was suddenly pounding so loudly against her chest. But the fact that the Great Sage had sent his assistant to help out Mi Young and the others is a really big thing for her. However, it also meant one thing which made the girl shiver.

"How do you know I work with the Great Sage?" Zhong Yu asks. His childish demeanor vanished instantly and was now changed into a much more serious expression. His voice also deepened and darkened which made him look intimidating as ever. The black haired girl gulps down while she looks up at the man. "Are you an enemy?"

Mi Young instantly started waving her hands in the air once more, trying to tell the man that she is definitely not a spy. "Please! I am Hwang Ning Gwang's apprentice and a student of Mistwood Academy! I am not an enemy of anyone except the people who run this place."

Zhong Yu's expression slightly softened after hearing the young girl's words but that didn't stop him from emitting a very intimidating aura. "Then why do you know I work for the Great Sage? Not even Ning Gwang knows that I work with the old man."

"I saw your dragon one time when the Great Sage visited the academy! I didn't know it was you but Lady Ning Gwang confirmed it to me weeks later." Mi Young squeaks, trying her very best not to melt under the man's heavy and intimidating stare.

This seemed to make the man trust the young girl as his earlier behavior and expression came back. He offers the young girl a small smile before saying, "Oh okay then! I thought you were a spy for a second. Sorry about that by the way."

"N-No need to be sorry, Zhong Yu-ssi! It Is me who should be sorry for confusing you like that!" Mi Young announces while bowing at the man once more.

Zhong Yu let out one bashful smile before saying, "I like you and your attitude, now we can be friends!"
