The Unsurpassed Maiden

Everything around Mi Young warps again. However, it was more tolerable than the time she teleported together with Lady Ning Gwang and Lee Kwang Soo.

When Mi Young finally feels herself standing on something solid, unlike warping where she felt like she's flying, she finally decided to open her eyes.

The moment she opened her eyes, what greeted her was a pair of eyes, (more like an eye since the other eye of the person was covered with an eye-patch) who were looking at her weirdly.

"Huh?" Was all Mi Young can utter when she sees the pair of eyes still looking at her. Then she realized her current position. Mi Young sees herself attached to a young man with dark blue hair and an eye-patch covering his other eye. She also noticed that they were in a really daring position. Mi Young quickly detaches herself from the man and quickly stands up while pointing at the man. "What the hell were you doing with me?!"

The black haired girl sees her pointed hat lying on the ground just beside the man, so she quickly goes to get it and attaches it back to her head. Then she dusted off her one-piece suit and turned around to look for her two companions who were just standing behind her with different expressions plastered on their faces.

Lady Ning Gwang was smirking at her and even wiggling her eyebrows at her suggestively while Kwang Soo was looking bored while he crossed his arms. Mi Young also noticed another man standing in front of her two companions with long red hair that were tied in a ponytail.

"Shouldn't you be apologizing to me now?" The man from earlier asks while he stands up and started dusting off his uniform as well. Then he looks at Mi Young with a smirk. "Hey there, where were we earlier?"

"Pervert!" Mi Young shouts at him before she runs off to hide behind Lady Ning Gwang, peeking to check if the tan-skinned man followed her.

The man with the ponytail sighs before speaking, "I'm sorry for his behavior. That's Vice Captain Dong Hyuk."

The so-called Vice Captain walks towards them with a laugh while waving at them with a dismissive hand. "Why are you apologizing when that black haired girl was the one who threw herself at me?"

"Excuse me?! Why would I do that?" Mi Young shouts as she steps forward from hiding behind Lady Ning Gwang's back.

"Darling, everyone saw how the moment you went out from the portal, you instantly threw yourself at me." The Vice Captain says with a grin. "I mean, I know I am irresistible so you don't need to be embarrassed."

Mi Young goes red from head to foot, not because she was embarrassed but because she was fuming in anger. "I did not do that! Teacher, tell this idiot right here that I did not throw myself at him."

"But you just did. You can ask the two guards there." The blue haired man says once more, even pointing at the two guards who were standing side by side at the huge gate just in front of them.

"You are such a liar!" Mi Young shouts again while pointing at the man. "I don't care if you are the Vice Captain or what but you are a complete pervert to my eyes!"

The man scoffs before saying, "A man as handsome as me couldn't be a pervert. Plus, you're the one with the suggestive outfit here. So if I'm a—"

"Enough." The red haired says before he threw the other party a deathly glare. The Vice Captain sighs before he apologizes to Mi Young and her two other companions, even bowing at them but not before sending Mi Young another flirtatious wink. "I'm sorry about his behavior. Dong Hyuk is a pretty conceited man."

"That hurts coming from you, Captain." The blue haired man says while putting a hand against his chest.

"Anyway, I am Captain Jung Sung Woo and I want to send you a warm welcome here as you enter the floating city of Furotingu." The ponytailed man says, offering Mi Young and the others a warm smile.

Lady Ning Gwang laughs flirtatiously at him, "Oh thank you, my dear captain. My name is Ning Gwang and I am a teacher and the librarian of Mistwood Academy."

"Mistwood? How did you come all the way here?" The red haired asks with a confused gaze.

"Magic." Was the only thing Lady Ning Gwang says before she starts saying. "So, when can we come inside?"

"Oh, I'm so sorry about that. Let me walk you off inside the gates." The red haired man says before he leads them pass the gates, and inside the city of Furotingu.

What Mi Young did not expect was the wonderful view that would greet her the moment they entered the gates of the City of Furotingu.

There was so much liveliness around that it shocked and mesmerized Mi Young at the same time. When she looks to her left, she can see merchants selling different goods and products. There were flowers, fruits, different kinds of food, shirts, figurines, and so much more. At her right were different diners and restaurants that were full of people as well.

Everyone was so busy doing their own things.  Some were busy talking with their friends while they shared coffee, others were playing with kids or pets, there was even a small band playing at the small triangle with a fountain where Mi Young and the others walked through.

The black haired girl also noticed that everywhere they walk, the people seemed to part and make way for them. That's when she remembered that she was an outsider and they were walking with two of the most high ranking officials in their city.

Looking at how the people bow their heads every time the officials walk past them, Mi Young starts wondering how they were able to enter the ranking seeing as they were just two to three years older than Mi Young herself.

'Maybe the age requirement is lower here.' Mi Young thought to herself. Back in their hometown, the people who can only join the rankings were ages twenty-five and above. She doesn't know about the capital city as well where Mistwood Academy was located since she was only able to roam the city when she was on her way inside the academy. After that, she wasn't able to go out ever since.

"Welcome to our city. This part right here is considered as the heart of Furotingu since everything basically happens here. Trading, selling, communicating, and others which require us to socialize. That's the band that plays every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They are a group of Mages specializing in Charm Magic, which is why they have a pretty huge audience every time they play." The Vice Captain explains while pointing at everything in their city. He also managed to introduce Mi Young and the rest to the four membered band.

They walked further into the city until they reached what seems like the city hall based on its construction.

"This is the Grand Master's office. Since you are our guests, and are new here, we require everyone to see our Grand Master first before they start to roam around the city." The Captain says as he leads them inside the office of the Grand Master. "We apologize for taking some of your time but this is our city's rules and we have no choice but to follow it."

"It's okay. We understand that you are also concerned for your city's well-being." Lady Ning Gwang answers with a soft smile. The Captain answered her with a small nod as well.

After a few minutes of walking further inside the huge office, Mi Young finds herself standing in front of a huge oak door.

The red haired man stops before knocking at the door four times, "Grand Master, the guests have arrived."

There was no answer from beyond the door and only a few shuffling can be heard. Mi Young also hears a couple of footsteps coming from inside.

"The Grand Master is a busy person." The Captain says, bowing to the guests to apologize because of their Grand Master's late response.

"Oh she is a veeery busy person indeed." The Vice Captain, the one with the eye-patch, says in a very sarcastic tone. Mi Young notices the red haired throwing another glare at his Vice Captain before knocking at the door once more.

"Grand Master, the guests from Mistwood Academy have arrived." The Captain says in a louder but still respectful voice.

Still, there was no response coming from the Grand Master. This made the two officials look at each other in worry.

"What's wrong?" Kwang Soo asks, probably reading the suddenly tense atmosphere coming from the two other males. "Is your Grandmaster alright? Is this normal?"

"Usually it will take her only one reminder before she opens her door." The Captain says with a worried voice.

"Should we go in without permission?" The Vice Captain announces, waiting for the Captain's response.

"No but—"

"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting." A voice suddenly says just as soon as the doors of the office opens, revealing a stunning looking lady.

She did not expect the Grand Master to be a female.. However, what Mi Young did not expect more was the flying dagger passing by her and going straight to her teacher the moment the Grand Master sees Lady Ning Gwang's face.
