The Unsurpassed Maiden

"What the hell!" Vice Captain Dong Hyuk says as he dodges the flying dagger which was aimed at Lady Ning Gwang.

The Captain of the guards was about to push Lady Ning Gwang out of the way so she wouldn't get hit but the white haired woman was faster. In a blink of an eye, the dagger that was once flying across them stopped mid-air and slowly crumbled into pieces like broken glass.

"That's not a very nice greeting, Shin Yu." The beautiful white haired teacher says as he bats her eyelashes at the Grand Master who was still standing right at the door. "Is that the way you greet your guests?"

"F*ck you." The Grand Master spits out.

Mi Young hears the Vice Captain whispering against the Captain's ear a small 'It's my first time hearing our sweet Grand Master swear. Who is this white lady?'

The Captain nudges him on his side before he looks at their Grand Master.

"Grand Master, these are our honored guests from—"

"Honored guests my ass! Take them away!" The Grand Master says before she shuts the door right in front of Mi Young.

"Well, that wasn't very heart warming." Mi Young says as she blinks at the now closed door.

"T-This is my first time seeing her act like that." The Captain says, looking confused and worried at the same time. Then, he turned around to face Lady Ning Gwang who still looked calm and collected. "Tell me, Miss. Do you personally know our Grand Master? Are you enemies? Do you hate each other?"

"Do you usually ask these much question?" Lady Ning Gwang jokes out, but it was enough for the Captain to be embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I didn't mean to offend you! I was just really—"

"What a talkative Captain you are." Lady Ning Gwang says with a smile. Then, she added, "Don't worry, it's fine. Shin Yu and I are cousins."

"Cousins?!" The Vice Captain shouts. He then examined Lady Ning Gwang from head to foot. "Now that I looked at you closely, Grand Master and you really have some similarities. Although you're way prettier than the Grand—I mean of course you ladies have your differences. Right? Hehehe."

The Captain, including Mi Young and Kwang Soo, rolled their eyes at the Vice Captain's words.

'Could he be more embarrassing?' Mi Young thinks to herself as she eyes the Vice Captain with disgust.

Feeling the intense gaze coming from the black haired girl, the Vice Captain of the guards turned to face her direction. "What? Falling in love with me already?"

Mi Young scoffs at him before crossing her arms and raising one of her eyebrows, "You wish."

"Feisty." The blue haired man says with a smirk.

"Are you guys done? Can we talk to the Grand Master now?" The other student, Lee Kwang Soo, finally says after a long silence. He crossed his arms as he looked at the other four. "Stop being so embarrassing and make a plan on how we can convince your Grand Master to talk with us."

The Vice Captain scratches his nape as he steps forward and answers Kwang Soo's idea. "About that, the Grand Master is known to be a very hard person to please. Aside from that, once she says something is over, then it's over. There is no point in changing her mind."

"Is that so? Is there no other way to convince her then?" Mi Young asks. She looks at the still closed door and wonders if the Grand Master is now laughing at them while hearing their conversation.

The two high ranking officials shook their heads. "I'm sorry, we can't do anything about it. Grand Master is known to be a stubborn woman."

"Oh she got it from me." Lady Ning Gwang says with a smirk.

Then, she steps forward as she knocks on the door. And with a loud voice she bangs at the piece of wood in front of her. "If you don't open up right now I'm going to strangle you just like when we were kids! You know how I hate it if someone keeps me waiting! Open up this door right this instant, Shin Yu and I swear to god you won't like it once I get annoyed!"

Everyone looked at Lady Ning Gwang like she was some other person. They never saw the other lady lose her cool before which is why her action just now shocked both her students as well.

"Actions like that won't keep the Grand Mas—"

"You really wouldn't open the door, Shin Yu?" Lady Ning Gwang announces once more, this time at least her voice was a lot calmer. "Fine then. I guess I wouldn't tell you where Liu is right now."

The white haired woman starts to walk away from the door right after saying those words and back to the hallway where they came from. However, just as she was about three steps away from them, the door to the Grand Master's office opened, revealing a wide eyed woman.

"Did you really see him?" The Grand Master questions while looking at Lady Ning Gwang with widened eyes.

The beautiful teacher rolled her eyes at her before answering, "Duh, why would I lie?"

"Ning Gwang, I'm not kidding right now. Tell me, where is he?" The Grand Master asks. Mi Young notices that there was a hint of desperation in her voice as well.

"Who says I'm kidding?" Lady Ning Gwang asks. Then he cocks her head to the side. "Let me inside your office and then I will tell you where Liu is."

It only took the Grand Master one second before she ushered the three guests inside her office. The two officials were about to walk inside her office as well but the Grand Master stopped them.

"You two wait outside. I have some personal business to attend to. I hope you two won't mind." The Grand Master says in an apologetic voice. The Captain waves his hands in front of the Grand Master telling her that it was okay and that they're fine waiting outside. However, the Vice Captain had a sour expression than the other man.

"But I want to listen." The blue haired man whines. Mi Young scoffs while looking at him and throws a tantrum like a little kid.

"You can't. I'm sorry." Was all the Grand Master says before she slowly shuts the door behind her. Before she went to her table which was located at the center of the room, she turned to face the door once more and chanted some words that the black haired girl couldn't quite hear.

Mi Young turns to whisper at her teacher, "What is she doing?"

"She's putting on a spell on the door and all over the room so no one can listen outside." Lady Ning Gwang answers with a smile.

After a few seconds, the Grand Master finally turned her back once more and is now facing them. She then walks towards her table and sits in her huge and comfortable looking chair. "Please, take a seat."

Mi Young looks back and sees a black sofa behind them. She didn't waste any time before she was finally sitting on the sofa, too tired to even thank the Grand Master for her hospitality.

"Now, Ning Gwang. Where is Liu?"

"Won't you even offer us some tea and cookies first? My students are hungry from our journey." The white haired woman says with a smile. This made the other lady throw a glare at her before she sighs and rings a bell.

Instantly, a small fairy appears beside the Grand Master. "What can I do, master?"

"Make them some tea and cookies and then bring them here." The Grand Master instructs. The fairy nodded her head at her before she disappeared through the door at the corner of the Grand Master's office. "That was my servant fairy, Nymia. She's a gift from the High Lord."

"People are giving you gifts now? What a nice life you have here, Shin Yu." Lady Ning Gwang says with a smile. However, for the first time, her eyes didn't seem to reflect the same feeling as her smile.

The Grand Master, Shin Yu, rolled her eyes at Lady Ning Gwang. "What do you want, Ning Gwang?"

"I told you, I don't want anything from you." The teacher says. She saw the Grand Master's fairy coming back from the other room, which Mi Young assumed was the pantry, and is now carrying some trays with a teapot and a plate full of cookies.

The fairy places the tray on the table in front of the three guests before it vanishes once more. Lady Ning Gwang pours herself some tea before she starts sipping them. "Ah! So refreshing."

"Then why are you here?" The Grand Master asks while eyeing Lady Ning Gwang with a serious gaze.

"I'm not the one who needs help but my students here." Lady Ning Gwang says as she turns her gaze towards her two students. Mi Young noticed how her teacher mentioned the two of them needing the Grand Master. She then looks at Kwang Soo who was looking seriously at the Grand Master.

That's when the Grand Master turned her gaze towards the other students, the expression on her face reflecting surprise like she just remembered that Lady Ning Gwang has two other companions.

"Aren't you the Pyro kid with anger issues?" The Grand Master says while pointing at Kwang Soo.
