Chapter 197 - Someone exclaimed next to them, "MingYuan?" (1)

Cheng Huan’s brain almost stopped working from his flirtatious move. By the time she recollected herself, she was already upstairs.

Relative to downstairs, Jiang MingYuan’s floor had much less rooms. Consequently, each room were relatively bigger. Even XingXing’s playroom was almost 40 m2 in area.

There was already a lot of toys in the room and it seemed that XingXing had never seen most of them before. The little kiddo didn’t want to take another step as soon as he saw the toys and insisted on staying behind to play with them. As such, Jiang MingYuan and Cheng Huan were the only two participants for the remainder of the tour.

The three stories of the apartment were joined by stairs and each floor only has two to three rooms. Jiang MingYuan carried the keys in his hand and handed Cheng Huan one each time he walked her past a room. When they were at the top floor, Jiang MingYuan skipped the room by the stairs, walked forward some, and started with the one from the right.

“This is the workout room and it has many of the normally seen equipment. You can come try them out when you have time. This one is the study. I am in here a lot.” He pushed open the door to the study for Cheng Huan to tour.

Much like many other rooms, the study wasn’t small either. Three sides of the walls had built-in bookshelves with all sorts of book on them. They were even labelled by categories. Unlike how Cheng Huan would have imagined it, there were not a lot of economic books. Contrarily, there were plenty of sociology books and some novels, both in Chinese and English, all lined up neatly.

“You read these?” Cheng Huan walked over to the bookshelf on the right and pointed at the novels. These were not masterpieces. These were the normal webnovels, gearing mainly toward grade and high school students.

“……”

“I am usually quite busy and don’t have time to read.” Jiang MingYuan cleared his throat and explained for himself with his head turned. “My assistant prepared these.”

Perhaps feeling that having a large study filled with books that he didn’t read was a little silly, Jiang MingYuan added afterward, “I do read some others that’s not in this section.”

He walked over to one of the shelves and said to Cheng Huan. “I’ve read most of these. If you are interested, I can make recommendations. Some of them are quite well written.”

Where he pointed was mostly economic or political science type of books, about the ones that fit him the most in this room. Cheng Huan, however, was not interested in any of them. Even the names of them could give her headaches. She shook her head without hesitation. “Oh, never mind. I don’t like these much.”

“Alright.” Jiang MingYuan nodded and said to her. “You can’t just believe in everything that you’ve read. Experience is a big part of it as well. You can just ask me in the future.”

Cheng Huan was a little baffled. “Ask you what?”

She owned one restaurant. She wouldn’t think she’d need any of these obviously Tall, Big, and Classy complicated knowledge, did she?

“Managing a chain of restaurant is not that different from management a corporation. If you have needs in the future, I should be able to offer some of my expertise.” Jiang MingYuan said it so matter-of-factly as though having a chain of restaurants couldn’t be any simpler.

Cheng Huan never thought about these. Up until today, her business plan was coming up with new dishes and having promotions to attract more customers. At the very most, she would think about perhaps and one or two restaurants when her one became more popular.

“Me? I don’t think I will be able to.” She wasn’t very certain. In her mind, most chain restaurants were fast food restaurants. It wouldn’t be an easy for her type of restaurant to do.

Jiang MingYuan was surprised, “Why do you feel that way?”

“My business… it’s not convenient and not too unique,” said Cheng Huan with a frown. “It won’t be easy for it to be well-known so I can’t imagine too many people will want to franchise. And, even if they do, I can’t guarantee that their taste will be the same as mine. If it doesn’t taste good, it’d be bad for my store’s reputation.”

“How about just open up more on your own?”

“On my own… I don’t have that kind of money.”

Jiang MingYuan paused for a little and said, “You have time. There’s no rush.”

Cheng Huan was relieved that he didn’t say he would loan her money. Smiling, she walked over and said, “Let’s go look at the other rooms.”

Jiang MingYuan, “…… Okay.”
