This Time, It's Forever

Chapter 58:For many years 2

Two identical looking face seated obediently on the sofa at the living room facing the two grim reapers in front of them. Their used to be troublemaker face turn pale with a hint of fresh new wounds on their face. Right now they were hoping for their sister to arrive. However after an hour sitting there, they realize their sister won't come and save them. They have just return from solving the problems that they created and they've been beaten black and blue by the two person in front of them. Still, the two grim reapers don't have any intention of letting them go and were asked to sit at the living room without attending to their wounds. Feeling injustice, Alan finally lashes out.

"It's not our fault to begin with. If he wasn't so snobbish we wouldn't even bother to pick a fight with him. It's not like he's the only one who have money and owns the place. His father is just a principal. Daddy can change the principal anytime. Why do we have to apologize and be beaten up?"

"That's right. This is not fair. I thought you guys were our brothers. If Layla is here, she will solve it for us and defend us. Unlike what you guys just did." Carl supports what his twin says. Both of them feels the same thing and they resembles each other a lot in terms of 'justice'. Apparently Aiden and Ryan don't think the same. Although they were naughty back then but they don't create troubles and use the power of their parent to solve their problems. They solve it using their own strength. It's what their dad always taught them in his savage moment. They understand it easily.

"If you have the guts to create trouble and the power to solve them, we would keep our mouth shut. But not only you created the problem with your impatient, boorish and immature attitude but you made others to solve it for you and shamelessly using our parent's name. What does that make you? At least the guy that you mess up with doesn't flaunt his father's name when you beat him up. While the two of you chose to introduce yourself as Dylan and Lyla's son expecting him to kneel on his knee and crawl in fear. You call him snobbish then i call both of you barbarian." In his low growling voice that send shivers to the twin, Aiden manage to shut them up.

"Just because you have us backing you up, do you think we will support you into killing someone? If it's wrong then it's wrong. I will be the first person to send you to prison." This time Ryan who's usually the cool one among the triplets shows his anger.

"We're sorry. Sorry." Alan and Carl somehow realize their mistake and feeling bitter about it. They shouldn't have acted that way. Just because they were taunted, they could have ignore it. But they were bad tempered type of person and in that moment they actually act low just like the enemy.

"The one you should apologize is your sister. She's the one who's been dealing with all your tantrum for the past few days." Aiden said.

"And so do we." Ryan added making all of them feeling guilty. Aiden and Ryan feeling guilty because they drop the responsibilities onto her hand while the twins have been disturbing her working hours just for the sake of them. But the problem is, where to find Layla. Ryan have been calling Layla for the past few hours but her phone turn off. Just when they were about to go out, two figures enter the house making all four of them turn stiff. Both of them look like they were stuck with each other, the man looking displeased and annoyed while the woman only look calm.

"Owh, all of my handsome prince are here. This is very rare indeed." Lyla said ignoring the fact all four of them trying to hide their discomfort and surprise. Dylan only snort but still had a deep frown on his face scaring the four of them all along. Aiden who usually look calm and cold somehow felt scared looking at his father. It can only mean one thing. Their father is in a bad mood and it's because of them. All these years growing up with a easily jealous father, they learn not to make any trouble for their mother nor do anything that will make their mother worried. They also learn that their mother will always comes first and their father will treat them as his enemy is they make his wife worried or unhappy. They have been avoiding it except for today. Alan and Carl have been trying to hide their bruise face while Aiden and Ryan just stood there restlessly.

Pap!!! Lyla slap Dylan's hand and glare at him.

"Stop threatening them. Why is it this attitude of yours never change?" Lyla scold Dylan.

"Then they should grow up and stop disturbing our vacation." Dylan said nonchalantly. All four of them feels like they've been disowned by their father.

"Hubby..." Lyla send a warning. Dylan just shrugged and drag his queen to the sofa. Lyla can only rolled her eyes.

Seeing their parent sitting down while they're standing up, making them feel like they're guilty of something. After a couple of minutes staring and nudging, their mother decided to end the torture.

"Answer your mother." A stern voice makes them tremble even more. In the end Aiden step up.

"Layla turned off her phone." He said acting like nothing is wrong with her switching off her phone.

"I know." Lyla answer as a matter fact. Still wanting to play psychological war with her children. Although they have grown up and each have their own career, somehow they forgot to look after one another in the moment of work. Which is why she decided to interfere the moment her phone shows sign of Layla turning off her phone. It's something that she created to check on her children well being without them knowing.

"She,,,she got upset." Ryan stated.

"Obviously." Lyla said again making them flabbergasted. It's as if their mother knows what happen and the reason behind her being upset.

"We're sorry mommy." Alan and Carl said together. Looking sad. Dylan glared at the both of them making them hide behind Aiden and Ryan.

"I'm not sure if i want to accept your apology this time." Lyla said coldly. Alan and Carl couldn't help but feel terrible. This is the first time their mother shows her cold side towards them. They've been making trouble ever since they were small. Pranking others to the point of creating bigger troubles. And it was always the same thing. They apologize and their mother would forgive them. Only scold them a little. However today, their mother didn't even bother to ask about their injuries nor accept their apology like she always does. Without knowing, their tears start to fall on their face.

"And i'm most disappointed with you, Aiden and Ryan. Now that the both of you have great career and good future you start ignoring your family? How does it feel to be busy with work and passing your responsibility onto others? I hope it's not too late for the both of you to realize there's nothing more important than your family. Your wealth, the billion dollars project one day will be gone and none of your so called friend will remain. What remains is this home, with your families. This truly break my heart to see my own children growing up slowly getting lost in the world full of temptation. I hope you have a 'fun' conversation with your dad. I'll go look for your sister." With that, she left the house leaving all four of them feeling down. But that feeling only last a moment when the sudden drop of temperature remind them of their father who's about to give them the taste of hell.
