Lou Wei was still talking when he saw Zhao Mengke enter the conference room cautiously. He greeted Zhao Mengke by nodding his head toward him while scrolling on the drawing design on the laptop in front of him. 

However, Zhao Mengke couldn’t catch up with what Lou Wei was talking about. He had been really busy for the past two days and he had forgotten what was the main feature of the gaming pod. 

He listened to Lou Wei’s words and felt that each and every cell in Lou Wei’s body is trying to tell him that, “You are not the one who determines if I can touch it or not.” 

Zhao Mengke couldn’t focus at all.

He stared blankly at Lou Wei.  

Lin Xiao, who sat across from him, pinched his nose bridge helplessly when he noticed Zhao Mengke’s expression.   

Wen Fan was also listening attentively to Lou Wei speaking.     

The man spoke in a deep and stable voice. Every proposal that he made was a result of his careful consideration.

And the design of the game pod sounded very interesting and innovative. 

In fact, there was already production of a modern game pod. But so far, all the game pods that were sold in the market were all four-dimensional gaming chairs that were connected to VR glasses.

The player would sit on the chair and they would see the virtual world through the VR glasses. Some of the images weren’t even 3D images. 

The effect of attacking and taking a hit was delivered through the gaming chair.  

But what Yuan Cheng Remote Technology was researching on, was a game pod that could enable the players to really feel and sense the world in the game.    

The players can hear the voice of the characters in the game, can see a real-life image, and can even tour the beautiful mountains and rivers in the game.  

And they can even touch everything that they can see in the game.

‘Heaven Dream’ is the type of game that has a big world map. If they can really create the game pod, it would mean that they had created another gaming world.    

And now, Lou Wei is leading the team to the phase where they are looking into developing a gaming pod that can send some sensory data to the human brain.  

When the human brain is connected to the neural connector of the gaming pod, the person would be able to see the image in the game when they close their eyes.      

But currently, they are only able to work with still pictures and rigid characters’ movements.

They haven’t been able to achieve a realistic quality of that of a real world. And this is very vital for a gaming pod. 

The team members in this project were not the same RPG team. They were all from the ‘Heaven’s Dream’ R&D team and there were far more members compared to the Compagnon team.   

They listened to Lou Wei pointing out several issues with their current progress and they looked worried due to the lack of progress.      

The gaming pod project is more than just designing a game. It consists of the design of the game, the study of human neurons, and hypnosis. 

One of the staff in the design department took a deep breath, “President Lou, the nerves that control the human senses are located in different parts of the body. In order to be able to experience the different senses of touch, we need to do some external stimulation to attack the human brain. But we hypnotized the players to make them relax their nerves so to enter the game if we stimulate them externally, the player would wake up.” it

The designer scratched his head in distress, “At this point, we can only guarantee that the more the player falls into a deep sleep, the more realistic the image they will get to see. However, if they are on the verge of waking up, the game world that they see will start to collapse.” 

Lou Wei hesitated for a while, “How about if we let the player enter a lucid dream?”       

The design team looked at each other and nodded in agreement, “This is possible.”      

Lucid dreaming allows players to still have the same sensing ability as when they are awake. If it was normal dreaming, even if the players entered the game world, they would easily wake up due to external influences and their reaction would become slow. 

With lucid dreaming, it can ensure that players would still be able to keep their agility and have a clear conscience that they are in a dream world. Moreover, they do not need to brief the players that they are ‘already in the game’.

And most importantly, lucid dreaming can correspond the sound in their memories with the image that they saw.

For example, when the player is in the game world and sees lightning and thunder, he will automatically bring the sound of the thunder that he has heard before into the scene.

And even if you hear the noise of the surrounding environment, you will not wake up. They can consciously choose to stay asleep or wake up. The game screen will only be cut off if they choose to quit the game.
