The entire room was filled with Wen Fan’s voice as his voice was broadcasted through the speakers. Lou Xia heard it too. She then heard Wen Fan saying in a soft, clear voice, “Lou Wei, you’re too direct.”  

Lou Wei stared at Wen Fan while asking him, “What do you call me?”

Wen Fan was taken aback, “Lou Wei…?”

Lou Xia could instantly hear her brother, who used to be a man with few words who had now transformed to a villan, “What a polite way of addressing me.”

Wen Fan blushed.

After holding back for a long time, he whispered and said, “Wei-ge?”

Lou Wei, “Are you Zhao Mengke?”

Wen Fan stuttered and immediately changed his choice of words, “…Lou-ge.”

Lou Wei raised his eyebrows, fixing his gaze on Wen Fen .

Wen Fan was feeling tense from his stare but he couldn’t bring himself to leave Lou Wei’s side. He cautiously shifted his body to the side, intending to stand behind Lou Wei.

But Lou Wei turned around and he is now staring face to face with him.

Wen Fan had no choice but to quickly rack his brain to come up with how he should address Lou Wei. Out of desperation, he eventually came out with, “Ger!” 

Lou Wei puts on a indifferent face as he seized up Wen Fan whose face was already scarlet red. He then open his mouth to reply, “Mmm.”

In fact, he was hoping that Wen Fan could address him in a more intimate manner, but he didn’t want Wen Fan to freak out. 

Lou Xia was upset from taking in mouthful of dog food. She felt that both of them treated her like air particles in the living room. She wished she can burry herself inside the sofa.

But Lou Wei turned his head around to look at her.

“We’re going out tomorrow.” 

Lou Xia checked the date on her handphone, she was stunned for a brief moment before nodding her head.

14th April. The day that Li Yunxiu passed away.

Lou Wei drove Lou Xia to buy some flowers and praying necessities before heading to the cemetery.

And because Lou Xia already learnt about Wen Fan’s situation, Lou Wei didn’t hide Wen Fan. He projected him through his white mobile phone so that Wen Fan can step out from the phone and walk with them.

But as the three of them make their way toward Li Yunxiu’s tomb, they noticed two figures standing in front of the tomb.

Lou Xia, who was wearing a relaxed face, immediately felt tensed. Her expression immediately turned hideous.

It had been many years since Li Yunxiu passed away. She had tried her best from changing her mindset from being unable to accept her death to being able to visit her calmly now.

But all these doesn’t mean that she can accept Lou Ke and Zhou Yuan visiting her mother’s grave.

Especially when it comes to this pair of filthy couples who were responsible for the cause of her mother’s death. 

Lou Wei frowned. Lou Xia, who was beside him, had already charged forward.

Lou Ke and Zhou Yuan were still bowing their heads as they stood before Li Yunxiu’s tomb. They lowered their bodies as they placed the bouquet of flowers on the tomb. Lou Ke was dressed in a classic black suit, looking energetic. Zhou Yuan stood beside him dressed in a deep purple outer coat. Although she is already past thirty, she still appears like a teenage girl. 

She was holding onto Lou Ke’s arm as they placed the bouquet of flowers. By the time they retreated, Zhou Yuan heard footsteps coming from behind them.

Before she could turn her head around, she felt a sharp pain on her head and a powerful force gripped her hair, tugging on her hair from behind. 

Zhou Yuan was wearing high heels. She simply couldn’t hold her balance and tumbled on the ground. Her clean outer coat was instantly covered in dust. She looked awkward. 

Her usual prestigious image was suddenly nowhere to be seen as she widened her eyes and shrieked on top of her lungs. She struggled to free her hair while turning her head around. 

Her eyes met Lou Xia’s cold eyes.

Lou Xia took after Lou Ke’s looks and temperament. She was staring emotionlessly at Zhou Yuan. With the sun ray casting from behind her back, Lou Xia’s facial features looked like a sharp blade that was smeared with poison. Zhou Yuan recoiled in fear and let out a shriek when she accidentally tugged her own hair.

She looked just like a chicken whose throat was gripped by a powerful hand.

Wen Fan witnessed the whole thing through Lou Wei’s phone. He couldn’t help but admire Lou Xia’s battle spirit.

Her actions were quick and even Lou Ke was stunned. It took him a long while to finally reach out his arms to block her. Lou Xia slapped his hand away, “Scram!”

Lou Ke was trembling with anger, “Is this how you treat your stepmother?”

Lou Xia already felt disgusted when she saw the both of them. Her chest was so stuffed up that she felt she was about to throw up. When she heard what Lou Ke words, she couldn’t hold her chuckles, “Stepmother? Well, that should be my dad’s wife, right? But is she?”  

Lou Xia released her grip on Zhou Yuan’s hair. Zhou Yuan quickly crawled beside Lou Ke and held onto his leg for support. Just when she was about to stand up, Lou Xia gave her a hard kick on the *ss.

She yelped in pain and immediately fell into Lou Ke’s arms.

Zhou Yuan’s eyes immediately reddened and she lifted her head to stare at Lou Ke with grievance while letting out soft sobs. Lou Ke immediately took her in his arms and took two steps back. His face was filled with anger.

But Lou Xia didn’t even give him the chance to speak, “The second wife of my biological father is called Stepmother. Is she considered one?” Lou Xia narrowed her eyes at Zhou Yuan. She is 178cm and is much taller compared to Zhou Yuan. Her cold piercing glare sent Zhou Yuan frantically hiding inside Lou Ke’s arms.

Lou Xia let out a chuckle, “She is nothing but a mistress.” 

Zhou Yuan who was still putting on a pity act suddenly turned pale.

She felt ashamed as if she had been stripped naked.

Lou Xia was not afraid of her at all. She lifted her fingers and began counting, “How old are you, Zhou Yuan? Are you thirty-five? It doesn’t seem right for me to be calling you ‘Aunt’ at your age, right? Well, what about ‘Old Aunty’? But anyway, according to the generation tree, you are at the same level as Lou Ke.” 

Lou Xia’s battle power is amazing. Her verbal attack deserved full marks.

Lou Ke could still stand tall and mighty before Lou Wei was totally defeated by Lou Xia. He was painting hard but his mind was completely in a blank state.

Zhou Yuan who was thinking of putting up a pity act was totally speechless.

She wishes she could hide behind Lou Ke to avoid Lou Xia’s attack.

Lou Wei turned off the projector on his phone and placed the phone with Wen Fan inside his pocket before striding forward. 

The moment Lou Ke and Zhou Yuan saw him, Lou Ke pointed a finger at Lou Wei and yelled, “Lou Wei, look what your sister had done!”

Lou Wei is different from Lou Xia. He was once an obedient child during the time when his mother forced Lou Ke to stay in the house. Thus, to Lou Ke, although Lou Wei had already grown-up, to him, he still see Lou Wei as the obedient boy that he knew back then.

But Lou Wei didn’t reply to Lou Ke. He frowned as he said, “Don’t step foot here again. Aunt Li will get unhappy.” 

Lou Ke’s face immediately turned red. No one knew if it was out of anger or shame. 

In fact, regardless what an elderly does, as long he appears emotionally triggered with a head full of grey hairs, majority of people would choose to let it slide. Not to mention that Lou Ke is now trembling in anger. He looked as if he is about to pass out the next second.

But Lou Wei and Lou Xia had seen this side of him too many times over the past two years and they knew that he came ‘prepared’.

Lou Wei immediately asked, “What do you want?”

“You want money or assets?” He lowered his voice and said, “Just be frank with it.”

Lou Wei words lifted the only fabric that shielded Lou Ke and Zhou Yuan from exposing their shameful soul. Regardless of how thick skinned Lou Ke is, his expression turned stiff at this instant. 

However, the awkward moment quickly faded and he was wearing his usual expression again. “The new batch of materials produced from C-City failed…” He shuttered as he prepared for his next line. 

Lou Wei immediately cut in, “How much?” 

Lou Ke said with a stiff expression, “30 million dollars.”

Lou Xia chuckled when she heard Lou Ke’s reply. She couldn’t help but raise her slightly hoarse voice, “Lou Ke, are you really in such bad shape now? One batch of material cost only 30 million dollars? That’s too cheap.” Previously, he had always asked for a few hundred millions or forced Yuan Cheng Technology into collaborating with him, or else, he would spread the rumors on the internet that Lou Wei is not taking care of his father.

Lou Wei’s attention was caught by a different thing. He frowned as he stared at Lou Ke and asked in a low voice, “You spending a lot lately?”

Lou Ke didn’t reply.

Lou Wei’s expression turned cold, “You may leave now, if you don’t want to answer.”

Lou Ke was still hesitating. When Zhou Yuan heard Lou Wei’s words, she quickly tugged on Lou Ke’s sleeves and replied, “It’s my birthday two days ago. Lou Ke gifted me with a private yacht. He spent a bit on the yacht, thus, he is facing some financial difficulties now.” 

So this is what happened.

Lou Wei casually asked without batting an eyelid, “Private yacht? I bet it’s not cheap, right?”

Zhou Yuan stared at Lou Ke with a face filled with happiness, “Yeah. It’s twenty six million dollars.”
