Transmigrated Into The Book

The afternoon sky greeted them as they arrived at the camping site. The trees are quite big and taller than them with the birds chirping above. 

The students took off the bus and halted towards the wide land they were seeing right now. All of them lined up according to their class and let the faculties guide them all the way.

The School had this semi-forest property, less worries because it was a safe hill-like land. In the middle of it, was their camping site and since the sun was about to go down, everyone moved.

Since the faculty still has a lot to take care of, they asked for help from the student council to assist other students. Nohae was so giddy after Dohyun took him to Class A, where Jaewon and Yeon-ho were.

And as usual, the girls in Jaewon's class screamed their hearts out the moment they saw how dazzling Nohae was. Handsome as ever, wearing a bright and killer smile. He straightly approached Jaewon who was busy doing his tent, since it was too big for the male, he held the other side, "Need help?" he made a big grin when his eyes met the male.

"N-Nohae?!" Jaewon blurted out after feeling that the other side of his tent became light. He flashed a smile. "You startled me," he said. After setting the tent, both of them sat on the rock under the tree where other students are making fire. 

The sun was almost down and the teachers let them rest because they will start tomorrow morning. Jaewon was glad because he is going to experience these kinds of things again not as Jaewon but as Yang.

"First World huh," Jaewon mumbled unconsciously as he lifted his head and gazed at the stars slowly peeking beside the clouds. He smiled and closed his eyes, feeling the chilly night. When the moonlight hitted his face, a shadow hovered in front of him.

When he opened his eyes, he saw Yeon-ho's grumpy expression. The male wrapped a jacket around his shoulders and sat down on the rock beside him, "Why are you smiling like an idiot here?" Yeon-ho snorted

Jaewon pulled the jacket towards his chest then he slapped Yeon-ho's arms because the male was trying to move closer to him "Stop squeezing me!" he frowned "Why are you here though?! I was enjoying my free time here, stop pestering me for now." he said

Yeon-ho ignored him, the male just glanced at Nohae who was on the other side then he leaned his head on Jaewon's shoulders "I want to enjoy my free time with you too," he mumbled.

It made Jaewon brush his own face, "Seriously," he mumbled. He then stayed quiet and let the male on his side rested. He looked at Nohae and made a 'sorry expression' which was quickly understood by the male. 

Again, the silence crawled on them, they watched the other students enjoy the night as they talked around the fire they just did a while ago.

"Jaewon…"

Jaewon turned his head towards Nohae "What is it?" he asked. The male gave him a smile, a bitter one. Nohae lowered his head and let the light from the fire not far away from them reflect the emotion dilating on his pupils, "I'm sorry…" he said

Jaewon flinched in surprise because he could see how guilty Nohae was "W-Why a-are you s-saying sorry all of a sudden?!" he blurted out, carelessly forgetting the male leaning on his shoulder.

Nohae looked at him, "I guess I should let you go," He said, looking straight at Jaewon's eyes. He made a languid smile, hiding the stinging pain inside his chest. "I-I want to g-give you up," he mumbled.

Jaewon froze, he shouldn't be feeling like this but why does it feel like he was hurting Nohae physically? The male was just inches away from him but he could feel the shattering sound of his heart. "N-Nohae," he bit his lower lip, "I'm s-sorry…" he uttered, turning his gaze away. He couldn't bear to see the sadness in Nohae's eyes.

Nohae stood up, he wiped off his pants "I'm a little bit sleepy.." he said, making a yawn. When he was about to step away, Jaewon pulled the hem of his shirt which made him turn back "What is it?" he asked

Jaewon lowered his head then he tightened his grip, he released a deep breath and uttered "T-Thank you…" he paused "Thank you for everything" then he let go.

Nohae was stunned after hearing what the male just said. It was just a simple thanks but it made his heart flutter and sting at the same time. He wanted to embrace Jaewon for the last time but he was also afraid that he might not let the male go again, so this time he just gave Jaewon a pat on the head, brushing his hair "You can rely on me any time," then he smiled.

Nohae walked away with his heavy heart, he wasn't sleepy, he just wanted to escape this uncomfortable feeling lingering inside him. He was so afraid to burst out in front of Jaewon again. 

He knew from the very start, he had no hopes for Jaewon, it was impossible for the male to like him back and needed to accept it. Jaewon will remain special inside his heart because the male showed him so many things that made him happy in the meantime. 

He was thankful, for letting Jaewon forget who he really is.

As he reached another tree, he stooped and hid himself. Sliding down on his knees, clenching his jaw to muffled the sound he didn't want to let out. The cold tears started to fall down on his cheeks, letting his heart burst out of the sadness he was holding back earlier. 

The chilly night enveloped and comforted him until he was finally okay again. In the middle of his alone time, a figure appeared in front of him, holding a flashlight. 

"What are you doing here alone?" Dohyun asked him, he was about to give the male a scolding when he noticed his sullen and swollen eyes "Did he cry? But why?" he thought

Nohae sniffled quietly, "What's wrong if I want an alone time with myself?" he turned around, hiding his expression. "Did you set up our tent? I was sleepy," he walked forward "Let's sleep Dohyun, the activities will start early tomorrow…" he said

Dohyun dashed towards Nohae's pace, agreeing to what the male said.
