"You have to choose between the two of them"

Rui Jun fell silent, clenching his fist. It still fixated his eyes on the folders in front of him. It was the results of Yuxian's medical examination.

The lady sitting in front of him also bit her lower lip. "W-We n-need to save him," she stammered. She stood up, facing the other side. Jiangye couldn't face the alpha. She was a doctor and yet even she wanted to surrender.

Yuxian collapsed a while ago and after giving him medicine, Jiangye asked Rui Jun to come with her.

She explained everything. Yuxian is a recessive omega. His pregnancy was against his heart condition. It can trigger him while delivering the baby and can lead to death.

"B-But Yuxian…." The alpha gasped, resisting the emotion lingering in his system. "He wanted the baby, he wanted it so much," he uttered.

It made Jiangye sprang; she slammed her hands on the table. "Are you crazy?! Do you want your wife to die?!" she exclaimed, under her tone were sullen eyes. 

The man clenched his jaw. "But," he also stood up. "Abortion is too much." He averted his gaze. 

Jiangye once again turned silent. Rui Jun saying the word 'abortion' is like accusing her as a killer. What could she do? Yuxian's life was on the line and being in this state is difficult. Jiangye cherished the omega so much she didn't hate the baby. 

The lady walked towards the alpha and grasped his shoulders. "Rui Jun!!" she yelled. "I am the doctor here! I've already encountered many cases like this and...and…" she paused, contemplating her next sentence. 

Jiangye lowered her head, "Some o-of t-the m-mothers a-are en….." before she could finish, Rui Jun grabbed her wrist. "Jiangye! Yuxian is strong, I know he can do it," he insisted.

A bitter smile stretches the woman's cheeks. She doesn't want to talk about it anymore. And before she could say another word, one nurse entered the room to call her. She tapped the man's shoulder and left. 

Rui Jun slid back to the seat, letting the silent atmosphere accompany him. He didn't know that Yuxian's condition would lead to this, almost taking his life. The omega was taking a lot of medication, but the baby inside his belly was also fighting. "Yuxian was fighting because of him," he mumbled to himself.

The alpha brushed his face up and grabbed his hair. "What should I do?" he asked himself. Another sting prick his chest. He can imagine how Yuxian will jump in excitement when he told him that their baby is a boy. Rui Jun needed to think because the pregnancy was already 4 months, 2 more months to go and Yuxian will deliver the child.

After one spending one week at the Hospital, they finally discharged Yuxian. He quickly dropped himself on their soft bed the moment they reached their room. 

The alpha who was following behind him smiled, putting his things back in the cabinet near the bed. "Honey, please be careful," he said. 

Yuxian spread his arms. "I miss our bed!" he exclaimed. "The hospital bed was quite hard and my back is hurting," he snorted, staring at the ceiling. After a minute, he sat up and pulled the sling bag from the desk. He took out a notebook and a pen. "Let's think of our baby's name!" he said cheerfully. 

Rui Jun sat down beside him and tucked the little hair beside his ears. "What name do you like?" he asked, looking at his wife with warmth.

Yuxian put the pen beside his temples. "Hmmmm…" he thought. "What if you let him take your name?" he asked, then he wrote something on the first page. He showed it to the alpha, 'RUI XIAN' he read.

The omega put the notebook down on the bed and circled the second name. "Since we are calling Xie Ling as 'Ling Ling' we can also call him 'Xian Xian'" he suggested, beaming eyes towards Rui Jun.

The other male just smiled at him. "You can do what you want," he replied.

Yuxian closed the note and moved closer to his alpha. He lay his head on Rui Jun's lap. He almost stomps his feet from excitement. "Did you know that when I was unconscious, I dreamed of our baby!" His sentence made the man gazed down at him. "Really?"

The omega nodded his head; he poked his husband's nose. "He was very cute, with ash brown hair and deep blue eyes," he stated. Yuxian told Rui Jun how the baby held his index finger while chuckling. He was jolly. He couldn't wait to see and embrace the baby in real life. 

Meanwhile, Rui Jun is still quiet. He didn't know what to say or how to react. It is true that he was a proud father, but Yuxian's health was bothering him more. He was gazing into nothingness for so long that the omega needed to call him so many times. 

"What is it?" Rui Jun asked after snapping back.

Yuxian leaned closer to him and cupped his cheeks. "Are you sick? Are you tired?" he asked. He turned the alpha's head sideways to check on him while pouting. "What's your problem? Do you want to go back abroad?"

That question made Rui Jun jolted, "No! No! Please don't think that way, honey" he pressed his head on his palm. "Sorry for spacing out," he whispered.

The omega squinted his eyes and twitched his brows. This is very unusual. Rui Jun wanted to talk to him about everything and this is the first time he saw the alpha thinking deeply in thought. He suddenly felt guilty and quickly asked the male about his business trip. "Didn't they accept your proposal?... The business trip?" 

Rui Jun ignored his questions and grabbed his hand. "Honey, do you trust me?" he asked.

Although astonished, Yuxian nodded his head in agreement. "Why did you ask? Of course I am! You are my husband," he answered.

"Honey," Rui Jun leaned closer into him and tightened the grip on his hand.. He gasped and asked. "Do you want to abort the baby?"
