The man sitting beside the bed pulled the blanket towards Yuxian's chest. He glanced at his omega, peacefully sleeping. Rui Jun leaned closer and brushed the male's hair. "I'm sorry, honey." he caressed his cheeks. "Sorry for being weak while you are fighting for the baby's life." he gritted his teeth. "I should be the one protecting you"

Rui Jun went to his office room and opened his laptop. He scanned the files that were sent to him from the company. Yuxian's sudden hospitalization cost him a lot of work and he needed to finish these all, since the company abroad approved his proposal. 

He scanned the emails he got one by one. It's still early, so he still has time to do it besides tomorrow is Saturday. 

The next morning…

Rui Jun blinked. The sun's rays from the spaces of his window hit his eyes. He grunts as he lifts his head slowly, still feeling the morning dizziness. As he made a turn, he saw a familiar human being standing near his desk. "Good morning!" it greeted him.

The alpha straightened his back and released a small yawn. He glanced at Yuxian, then grabbed him and pressed his ears on his stomach. "Good morning, Honey! Good morning, baby!" He greeted back. 

Yuxian put the coffee down on the table. "Did you sleep well? I'm sorry for holding you back. I didn't know that you still had a lot of work to do," he said as he sighed. 

Rui Jun snuggled into him. "It's okay, you and the baby are important to me more than anything else." he said, raising his head to meet Yuxian's eyes.

The omega covered his nose after inhaling the pheromones from his alpha; he was emitting a sweet and enchanting scent. Yuxian parted away from him, "I can smell your pheromones" he said. At first it was relaxing to him, but it's getting darker, proving that the alpha is active.

Rui Jun pursed his lips out. "I'm sorry." He stood up. "I will go to the bathroom first to wash my face." He reached for the omega and kissed him on the forehead. "I don't want to pressure and trouble you, so please go down and accompany Ling Ling to eat breakfast," he said as he turned around.

Yuxian poked his back, "How about you?" 

The alpha smiled., "I still had a lot of work to finish" His expression became gloomy, just imagining himself alone eating breakfast is melancholy.

ANOTHER MONTH HAD PASSED.

"Okay! Yuxian, we are going to leave!" Jiangye proclaimed, dragging a suitcase and a one bag pack down the stairs. 

Rui Jun, who was still clinging to Yuxian's waist, cried out. "Hu Hu Hu... Don't take my wife, I will behave! I promise!" he pleaded for the last time.

Jiangye, who just got down from the stairs, put the things beside Yuxian and smacked Rui Jun's head. "I don't believe you!" she snorted. "How many times have I told you to control yourself? You're not listening to me," she said to the pleading alpha.

The lady snatched Yuxian towards her. "I will take your wife," she proclaimed. The omega looked at her. Then he glanced at Rui Jun. "D-Don't feel sad. This is just temporary," he said.

Ling Ling was also there. She walked to Rui Jun and brushed his father's back with comfort. "Didi, please don't cry.. Aunt Jiangye will take good care of Mimi," she frowned. "Do you want me to come with Mimi to protect him and my little brother?" she asked. 

Rui Jun sniffed and embraced the little girl. "Ling Ling, Don't say something like that... Don't leave daddy," he said. 

Yuxian is five months pregnant. His stomach is big and having a hard time moving. Jiangye decided to let him stay in her place for monitoring, because Rui Jun was active too, and releasing too much of his pheromones to seduce the omega wasn't good. The alpha needed to control himself. 

Jiangye warned him so many times, but he couldn't help himself whenever Yuxian was near him. This is the last time, because Yuxian will be going with the lady temporarily. A recessive omega pregnancy during the fifth month was risky and difficult, so he needed full care and attention. 

"We will go now," Jiangye said, pulling Yuxian onto his side. "Let's go." Before they could reach the main door, the alpha stopped them.

Rui Jun embraced Yuxian tight, he was still crying, so the omega caressed his back. "Stop crying. I'm not going far away," he uttered.

Jiangye brushed her face in dismay. She was like witnessing a parting kdrama. "You guys are so cringe," she crossed her arms. "Hurry and let us go, Rui Jun... I still have work at the Hospital," she ordered.

Yuxian brushed the alpha's hair and kissed his forehead. "You can visit me anytime. I will wait for you," he said, smiling back. Rui Jun wiped his eyes "Okay, Okay... I will visit you every day." 

"Not every day," Jiangye protested. "Two times a week is enough. Are you planning to kill him and the baby from your dark pheromones?!" she snorted. "Geez! Grow up! You are not a newlywed couple who can go wild any time!" she pouted and pushed the alpha inches away from them.

Jiangye opened the door and paused. She glared at Rui Jun. "If you don't behave yourself, I will never return your wife," she threatened with a cold and sharp glare. She was just playing around, wanting to tease Rui Jun's childish side.

The alpha froze, like his soul flew away from his body. He gulped, "Okay, Okay, I will behave just.. just take care of my wife for me," he said, waving his hands in the air with Ling Ling beside him.

The two headed outside, slamming the door closed. The brightness from outside slowly vanished in front of Rui Jun, who slid down on his knees. He lowered his head and clenched his fist. "Uwaahh!! I miss him already!" he cried out.

Ling Ling scratched the back of her head. "I didn't know that Didi would fit in a drama theatre club," she mumbled, walking away.
