"Ling Ling, sweetheart, please don't run."

The little girl cheerfully dashed beside the lake. She watched how the flow of the water would slowly hit the rocks underneath. The bridge was made in a hard cement texture, painted in white and dirty gray. It was medium narrow only for three people; she leaned on it and widened her eyes. Ling Ling closed her eyelids and felt the fresh air passing through her body, it was refreshing.

Beside the bridge, on the left side, was a grassy land. There are several people also doing their outdoor picnics. Rui Jun, who was busy putting down the baskets, once again shot a glance at Ling Ling. "Sweetheart, be careful!" he reminded the girl who was enjoying the lake. 

Yuxian, sitting on the thick mat that was placed on the grass, opened one of the baskets. "Let her be," he took out the breads "Let her enjoy this day too" 

Rui Jun looked at his wife and smiled. He couldn't help but be worried. Since it was Saturday, he had decided to bring Ling Ling and Yuxian outside. The omega undergoes so much emotional distress so he, at least, wanted him to relax and feel something different. 

Yuxian helped his husband unpack and unwrap the other foods they brought. Their place was beside the bridge so he could watch Ling Ling attentively. Going out like this with them somehow made him flutter and touch. The alpha told him that Jiangye recommended this place to him. He admits that those emotional phases of his pregnancy were a bit embarrassing, but he couldn't help it. 

Rui Jun stepped beside his wife and wrapped a coat around the male's shoulders. "Wear this, the air seems a bit cold," he said, kissing Yuxian on the forehead. The omega smiled at him. "Thanks"

Ling Ling dashed towards them and dropped her butt on the thick mat beside her mom. "I like it here, Didi!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands in excitement. She smiled and glanced at Yuxian, then she crawled towards him. The little girl lightly pressed her ears onto the omega's belly. "Hello my baby brother!! Can you hear me?" she asked, giggling. "Do you see this place? When you come out, we will play here...So hurry and don't make Mimi feel pain, okay?" she said again, like the baby inside the stomach understands her.

Rui Jun gently pulled the little girl towards him and brushed her hair. "Didi is jealous," he said with pouty lips. "You don't want to play with me anymore?" he asked.

A big smile stretched Ling Ling's lips as she sprang up and jumped onto Rui Jun. "Of course I want to play with Didi too!!" she exclaimed, squeezing the alpha. "But it's more fun if Xian Xian is here!!" she said, looking very excited.

Rui Jun and Yuxian looked at each other, containing the happiness from their hearts. Both giggled secretly at the little girl's wish. 

After preparing the foods, they started to enjoy the ambiance beside the lake. Yuxian made a sandwich for the alpha and Ling Ling. Rui Jun was secretly taking a glance at Yuxian for a while. He couldn't help himself but imagine the omega carrying their newborn baby. He was so proud and fluttered at the same time. His wife had gotten stronger, and he wanted to believe that. 

Yuxian, who was also feeling the piercing gaze beside him, turned around. "If you stare at me like that, it will leave a hole in my face," he said mockingly. 

Rui Jun chuckled and moved closer to him, letting their shoulders touch. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "I couldn't help it.'' He kissed Yuxian's cheeks. "You are so beautiful"

A flash and the sound of a camera startled the two. When they turned their heads, they saw Ling Ling taking pictures. The little girl smiled. "Mimi and Didi are so sweet!" she said, taking more pictures of the two.

She was still a little kid, but she knew what was happening in her surroundings. Ling Ling is understandable and mature in thinking, just seeing the love between her parents is enough. She paused and scanned the pictures from the camera's gallery; it made her smile brightly. "I want to stay like this," she mumbled unconsciously. 

Rui Jun's distance from her is close. He heard what the little girl mumbled. He grabbed the camera from Ling Ling. "What are you whispering there, sweetheart?" he asked, pulling the little girl towards them. He made Ling Ling lean on his chest as she faced Yuxian. "Let's take a picture together," Rui Jun said, adjusting the camera to let them fit.

"Mimi, are you happy?" 

Ling Ling, who was lying on Yuxian's lap, asked. She looked up and gazed at the omega, who was also staring down at her. 

"Of course, I am very happy," Yuxian answered. "Why did you ask?"

The little girl turned silent for a while. She glanced at the lake meters from them. She watched the water in it, flowing carelessly. The sound of it tapping the rocks underneath is more calming. "Mimi, you won't leave us, right?" her voice held her back. 

It stunned Yuxian from what he heard. Suddenly, a sting jolted inside his chest. He was deafened, and only the buzzing sounds echoed inside his ears. He was so happy a while ago, but after hearing what the little girl asked, his emotions turned down. 

He made a half smile, but before he could answer back, Ling Ling sat up and embraced him. From that embrace, Yuxian felt the warmth from the little girl. It made him frozen when Ling Ling tightened her embrace. "Mimi, I love you," she whispered, a bitter tone. 

Yuxian's arms moved on its own, locking the little girl inside his arms. Ling Ling rested her head on the omega's shoulders. "I want to see you and my little brother together, Mimi," she whispered, while Yuxian felt she was pleading.
