Transmigrated Into The Book

Yuxian sat quietly on the rock, he was watching Ling Ling and Rui Jun from afar. It was already afternoon, and the sun was about to go down. The two were flying a kite and since it was a bit tiresome for him, he stayed under the tree.

As the shadow of the two figures reflected in his eyes behind the dandelion sky, a bitter smile stretched his lips. He bit his lower lip and turned silent for a minute. Having these two beside him forever must be very happy. A loving and understanding husband and an adorable little girl, Yuxian wanted this kind of life. The warmth they were giving him every time, it's making him so red that he couldn't even know what to respond.

Yuxian lowered his head and looked at his round stomach. He put his palm on it and felt the baby. He could feel Xian Xian kicking for him. "You're quite strong, huh" he mumbled. 

Suddenly, his vision turned blurry, and he felt his eyelids were wet. Yuxian sniffed and found himself tearing up; he couldn't help it. He remembered his dream, when he was holding the baby in his arms, the way he touched his index finger. It was so cute that it made him feel the pain inside his chest. 

"Why does it hurt so much?" he whispered to himself. Yuxian wiped his eyes and fixed his expression. He shouldn't be crying. This is his mission. He needed to pull himself away from the negative thoughts and stress. It wasn't good for the baby. 

Who wouldn't want to build a family? Reaching his dreams with them and sticking together when times get rough. Having someone who will stay by your side no matter what. Chen Yang wants to agree, he never experienced these kinds of things. His world differed from the contents of this book he was into. 

Fairytales indeed exist only in the books.

"Honey!!!!"

"Mimi!!!!"

Yuxian jolted and immediately twisted his head to the two figures calling his name. Rui Jun and Ling Ling waved their hands to inform him that they were happily chasing the kite. He waved his hands too to show that he was fine there; he made a smile for them. 

He watched the two chase each other under the sun's rays. Rui Jun lifted Ling Ling and put her on his shoulders. The big smiles on their faces couldn't be erased. They were literally father and daughter. Yuxian took a deep breath. "I don't need to worry about them," he mumbled to himself.

"Let us wait here," Yuxian grabbed Ling Ling's wrist. They were now going home and waiting for Rui Jun because the alpha took their car. He was also a little tired, and he could feel his legs turning numb.

"Mimi!! Balloon!!" The little girl pulled the hem of his shirt, pointing her index finger to the balloon vendor, inches away from them. Yuxian gave her a pat on the head, "Okay, okay, let's buy one," he agreed.

They approached the vendor and bought a balloon. Ling Ling flashed a bright grin after receiving what she wanted. She stayed beside Yuxian while the omega was paying for it. 

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew through them. It took the balloon to another direction, causing Ling Ling to startle. It slipped from her hand and flew away. And since Yuxian wasn't looking around, the little girl hurriedly dashed to where the balloon was going. 

When Yuxian was about to call the little girl, he was stunned. The space beside him was now empty. It made him nervous and panicked. He remembered the scene that happened in the amusement park a few months ago; he didn't want to lose Ling Ling for the second time.

His heart started to thump faster, like it would explode. "Ling Ling?!" he called out, scanning the area. The little girl wasn't there so even though he's feeling tired and sleepy, Yuxian dashed.

"Ling Ling!!!"

Yuxian dashed to the other side of the road, scanning the surroundings. He was so lost in thoughts when he heard a loud siren coming from a vehicle. He didn't know, but something jolted up in his system, down to his spine. Yuxian's head automatically twirled to where the siren was coming from.

He saw a little girl crossing the road alone, catching a balloon. 

Yuxian's legs moved on their own, dashing to where the kid was. A car was on her way and he needed to save the child. Ling Ling was in the middle of the road, unconscious of her surroundings. 

"Ling Ling!!!"

Before the flashing lights blinded her, a forceful hand pushed her away. Ling Ling was thrown on the other side of the road. A car crashed, trying to avoid the human in the middle of the street. When the driver stepped out of the car, the area was already crowded. 

Ling Ling recovered from the fast flow of events that happened to her, the people helped her to stand. She was frozen, letting her feet dragged her towards the crowds. She parted and pushed the strangers, blocking her way.

The little girl slid down on her knees after seeing the blood on the familiar face. Her mother was lying there, not even moving. "M-M-Mimi…" she mumbled as her voice cracked.

The murmuring sounds from the surrounding strangers suddenly vanished, and only the buzzing sounds echoed inside her ears. Ling Ling's strength got off like she was about to faint. She slowly felt her knees getting numb, that even her tongue curled up. 

"Ling Ling!!!!!" A familiar voice made her jolted. But Ling Ling turned more pale when she recognized the face behind her. "What happened?!" Rui Jun asked.

Everything went black when the alpha turned his gaze on the body lying down on the road. His feet dashed towards and embraced the omega tight. "Honey!!" he called out.

"Somebody please call an ambulance!!!"

"Hurry!! Or he will never make it!!!"
