In the middle of the quiet room, with thumping hearts in nervousness. Beeping machines and oxygen, accompanying the heavy atmosphere. A new life was born as it cried, showing that it was alive.

The doctor held the human being and cut its umbilical cord. It stopped crying as it found warmth from the big hands carrying it. They placed a newborn baby boy in the incubator. 

The red light from the emergency room turned green. The operation is over. The door opened up and spat Jiangye out with grief in her eyes. She averted her gaze when Rui Jun and Ling Ling looked at her. 

"J-Jiangye?" Rui Jun asked. He was still in shock, but needed to know what was going on. "H-How's t-the o-operation?" he stammered.

The lady jolted when she felt a grip at the hem of her coat; she looked down and saw Ling Ling. "Aunt Jiangye," the little girl gazed at her with the eyes of a pleading child, "H-How's M-Mimi?" She clenched the coat of the lady. "M-Mimi.." she mumbled.

Jiangye felt the pricking pain inside her system. She tried to smile. "T-The b-baby i-is safe… Baby xian will be placed in incubation first since he is less than a month old"

Rui Jun leaned closer to her and grasped her shoulders. "H-How about my w-wife?" he asked.

It made Jiangye flinch when the shivers ran down to her spine; she slid down. The lady hugged her body until tears fell down from her eyes. Rui Jun froze. He didn't want to assume something from Jiangye's expression. 

The alpha squatted down, "J-Jiangye? W-What's wrong?" he asked. He tried to make a blank expression as he faced the lady. "P-Please t-tell m-me he's f-fine," he said.

This time, Jiangye grabbed the alpha's arms. "I did everything!" she exclaimed. 

"What do you mean you did everything?"

Cold tears caressed her cheeks. She lowered her head. "He's alive!!" she grabbed the alpha's arms. "Yuxian is alive!!" she exclaimed until the tears turned to sobs. 

Rui Jun felt his knees trembling like all of his nervousness flew away. He embraced Ling Ling and the two of them cried out. Letting the emotions they were holding earlier ease the heaviness in them.

1 WEEK HAVE PASSED...

As Rui Jun entered the room, he saw a frail body lying on the hospital bed. With machines and apparatus beside him, he can tell that Yuxian indeed suffered. 

The alpha walked slowly beside the bed with the little creature in his arms; he pulled the chair and sat down. He gently placed the baby beside Yuxian, who was still unconscious. Rui Jun brushed the omega's hair. "How are you, honey?" there was a sadness in his tone. 

Yuxian had been comatose for almost a week, he was still recovering. 

Xian Xian slowly turned his head to the omega. He watched his mother, then he giggled. "Ba ba ba!" he tried to utter. 

That slight gesture made Rui Jun smile. The baby is too adorable in his eyes. He lifted Yuxian's hand and let the baby touch his index finger. "Honey, this is baby Xian," the alpha said. 

Rui Jun leaned closer and kissed the omega on the forehead. "Please wake up. He is waiting for you," he said, eyes full of warmth.

The door of the room slightly opened, Ling Ling peered beside it. She trudged towards the bed as she put the basket of fruits on the table. The little girl stepped closer and gave Yuxian a peck on the cheeks. "How are you, Mimi?" she said, sitting on the bed.

"Your Mimi must be exhausted, he sleeps every day" Rui Jun said as he was trying to lift the atmosphere. Instead of making a sad face, Ling Ling smiled at him. "I know Mimi will wake up!" she exclaimed with joy. "He said that he will never leave us, Mimi is strong," she said. 

The little girl's reaction surprised Rui Jun. He was worrying for nothing.

Ling Ling held Yuxian's hand and Xian Xian's little fingers, "Mimi, don't sleep too much,We are going to play, right?" She bent down and brushed the omega's hair. "Xian Xian is here, We are all waiting for you, We still have a lot of things to do…" she said. 

Xian Xian, who seemed to listen, reached out his short arms in the air. Ling Ling got what the baby wanted to say, so she pushed him towards Yuxian. 

"Ba ba!" Xian Xian blurted out, tapping the omega's cheeks. Even he wanted his mother to wake up.

The one who caught his attention more was the open book in front of him, his palm was placed on it. Yang tried to yank away, but it seemed like it glued his hands to its pages. "What is happening??!!" he exclaimed.

"Finally, you've arrived…" The voice was deep and melodic, where it can tickle anyone's ears. 

Yang roamed his eyes around, but he saw no one. "Who are you?!" he asked.

A light chuckle dominated the area as it echoed in Yang's ears. "Your soul is mine now, your body is the only one you have, Chen Yang," the voice replied.

"Ehhh!!! Am I going to die right now? For real?!" Yang jolted.

The blue particles around him glowed and beamed. With a gust of wind from the book, Yang closed his eyes. "W-What is t-this strong w-w-wind?" he mumbled.

"You are now part of the book, your soul will remain here forever with me"

Yang felt the shivers upon hearing it, "What do you mean!? Am I already dead in my world?"

The mysterious voice once again laughed. "If you want your soul back, come and do me a favor," it said. "Before death awaits for you"

The word 'death' made Yang flinch. "W-What death are you talking about??

"You will know....In the next world"
