Transmigrated Into The Book

The slight poke on his shoulders made him put his index finger between his lips. "Ssshh…" he whispered.

Another poke was thrown at him again, but this time, it was a slight grasp on his sleeves. Xianyu turned his head and saw the pale and nervous face of the lady looking at him. "M-Master? Is t-this really n-needed?," she whispered slowly, maintaining her voice. It also scared her to get caught from sneaking.

Xianyu gave her a 'just follow me,' look, then he whispered back, "Don't worry, the Prince will not cut your head or throw you out of your job," he patted the lady's head softly. "I will do everything in my power to protect you," then his eyes beam with determination.

The lady sighed and shrugged. She didn't know that taking care of this master was also a pain in the ass. She thought that they would go for a walk, but Xianyu instead dragged her and begged her to bring him to the ceremony of the newly appointed court ladies. Although it wasn't prohibited, it was held inside a closed room with only open windows and no one was allowed to disturb it besides, there were 5 guards watching the door. 

'What am I gonna do if the Prince finds this out?' The lady almost brushed her face just by thinking the thoughts. She enjoys staying beside Xianyu because it was also an excuse to ditch all of her other jobs. She just needs to focus on watching this man and taking care of his needs and wants. 

Meanwhile, Xianyu saw a big and sturdy rock beside the window. Of course, just what any other dumb people would do. He will surely use that rock to take advantage. 

And there he is. Xianyu nagged the lady to command her to follow him. The lady couldn't do anything but obey him secretly and quietly. He couldn't do this mission alone because he's still not familiar around the palace and he didn't want to get lost again. That's why he needed this lady over here to guide him back to his room. 

"Come, hurry…" he whispered in a low tone enough for the lady's distance. The maid nodded her head and walked behind him. 

When they reached the edge of the window, Xianyu half smiled. He got intrigued after seeing that familiar face earlier and he needed to confirm it on his own. The questions running inside his mind are so complicated that he couldn't stand to stay quiet anymore. 

That's it, he's doing this because he needed an answer to all of it.

Xianyu pulled the lady by her wrist, which made her jolt, "Ekk!" she exclaimed, but quickly covered her mouth. "I apologize, master," she whispered with an embarrassed face.

Xianyu leaned closer to her ears and whispered. "I need you to support my back. Support me properly, okay?"

The lady jolted for the second time. "B-But...M-M-Master? Is it r-really okay t-to t-touch you?" she was using a very low voice that only the two of them could hear. She's scared, though, because they are very close to the window right now. Besides, servants like them have no rights to touch their masters, so she was very astonished when Xianyu blabbed that out. 

"It's okay," Xianyu whispered back. "Just support my back so that I will not fall," he added.

The lady stood behind while Xianyu stepped up onto the big, round rock. He clenched the side of the windowpane carefully. When he was now in the right position, the lady began to push his back for support. She was guiding him very softly that she was using all of her strength to help the male. Somehow, it made her a little bit flustered because her master was very open to her. 

"M-Master? Are you okay there?" She raised her head and muttered. 

Xianyu gripped the sides of the window and pushed himself as he tiptoed on the rock. He didn't know that the window was at the right side of the room, where the old and respective court lady was standing while teaching the newbies. She was a woman in her mid-40s, sharp eyebrows and a grumpy expression. In short, she was a strict teacher. 

When Xianyu showed up half of his head, he caught everyone's attention. The newly selected court ladies all turned their heads to the window. Some of them blushed after seeing a handsome face peeking from the window. Others chuckled secretly because they found it cute and cool. 

Meanwhile, Xianyu didn't care at all. He was busy scanning the ladies' faces one by one. 'Hmm, where is she?' He mumbled inside his mind while inspecting them. 

While Xianyu was busy looking for his target, the lady pushing his back flinched when she saw a rat dashed across her feet. She flinched because she fears rats. "M-Master! Hurry!," she exclaimed, still lowering her voice. 

Another rat rushed across her feet. She lost it all and jumped from panic and shock, letting go of Xianyu's back. 

Well, the man on the rock accidentally slid his other foot down. He lost balance and collapsed on the rocky ground.

"Arrgghh!!!" Xianyu yelled from pain.

Everyone in the room was surprised after hearing that loud scream. The guards opened the door and asked everyone. That's when other ladies told them that there was a handsome man peeking from the window a while ago. 

While the commotion was happening, the two ladies sitting at the far end of the room looked at each other as soon as they realized that the other lady who was also sitting beside them vanished, "ehh? Where did Mian Mian go?," 

The guards halted towards the said window. Xianyu felt the nervousness. He's alone now because he quickly pushed the lady servant and told her to run away and hide. 

"Crap! They are getting closer!" He cursed when he heard the footsteps of the guards. He stood up and found his knees, elbow and ankle bleeding. Xianyu pushed himself by leaning on the wall but as soon as he made a step, the strength from his left legs weakened. 

"..Nghh!!!" He was about to collapse again when a grasp lifted him up into the air, away from that place.
