Transmigrated Into The Book

Qi Zhou spun his head toward the aftermath of the commotion a while ago. He winced when he felt the sting of the cloth around his arm. He gritted his teeth to resist the burning sensation attacking him. 

"Don't act on your own next time," Sun Wei cut the edge of the bandage as he scolded the male and put the things back into the box. The owner of the Inn gave them first aid the moment they finished everything. Though the jiangyins turned to ashes, they captured the woman who started it all.

She was still laying on the bed, unconscious. Sun Wei pricked her with a medicinal needle to make her sleep. Xianyu's ability really helped them this time. 

Qi Zhou stood up from his seat and trudged towards the kitchen counter. Despite having a wound in his arm, he still went there to ask the owner if everything was okay.

Sun Wei also picked up the broken pieces of the chairs and tables from the corner. The Inn's first floor indeed became a mess after the attack. His gaze turned to the hanging painting thrown on the side of the stairs. It was an ancient one, but now it was also broken to pieces. 

While helping the owner clean everything, he left the other people to brew tea for them. It was when a young lady dashed downstairs. 

"Mister! Mister!" She dashed towards Qi Zhou and pulled the hem of his sleeves. The male looked at her. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"The jiangyin lady!" she tightened her grasp as she showed fear in her pupils. "She's awake!" The young lady exclaimed. 

Sun Wei and Qi Zhou flinched, then their legs moved on its own, dashing upstairs. They quickly opened the door of the said room. There they saw the jiangyin lady with restraints on her arms and feet. She was groaning and crying in pain at the same time. They had no choice but to tie her up since Xianyu wasn't with them and they didn't even know how to cure a jiangyin.

The one man standing beside the bed met their gazes. He bowed when the two figures approached him. "What happened to her?" Sun Wei asked.

The man looked a bit stiff as he rubbed the back of his head. You can see the panic in his eyes, but because the two assigned him to look after the jiangyin lady, he had no choice. "She kept on groaning and saying 'sorry' like that the moment she opened her eyes," he reported.

Qi Zhou stepped closer to the bed and gazed down at the jiangyin lady. She was crying blood as she chants the same word repeatedly.

"I-I'm sorry! Save m-me!" she cried out. 

Sun Wei got something inside his thought, he looked at Qi Zhou straight in the eyes like he was delivering a message. The other male got what it was, so he ordered the man to leave them for a while.

When the door was closed, Sun Wei slipped a talisman from his sleeves, then he blew it towards the entrance. It was a seal spell so that no one can open the door until he removes it. They observe the lady jiangyin's being once more before conducting a plan. 

"What do you think will happen if she took the blue pill?," Sun Wei asked. 

It made Qi Zhou flinch as he immediately spun his head towards him. "Are you sure?" he almost blurted out. "We don't have much information about the blue pill." he started.

Sun Wei averted his gaze, "But that's the only way I can think of," he replied, tapping his forehead with his fingers, "She was the only one who had the Y-mark among the other jiangyins," he added.

Qi Zhou furrowed his eyebrows. "What if it turns out negative? What will you do?" he asked. 

Sun Wei remained silent for the meantime, his hand went to his pockets under his thick black robe, then he revealed the blue pill in his palm. "I don't know," he mumbled. "We won't know if we don't try," he replied.

Qi Zhou saw the determination in the male's eyes this time. He had this effect of helping other people because he wanted to save them. Even if he hated jiangyins because of what happened years ago to his family, Sun Wei still wants to help. 

Both of them didn't know what would happen. They just want to conduct an investigation and spot the difference between the red and blue pill. 

The lady that was restrained on the bed once again grunted and groaned. She whined, like some of her nerves were twitching inside her system. It was pitiful because her eyes were also crying in pain. 

The two males were taken aback after hearing her agony. Both gritted their teeth and clench their jaws. This lady didn't even deserve to suffer like this. She was just a victim.

All of them were victims. 

"Wei," Qi Zhou called him by his name. Though they are always together in their adventures, Sun Wei knew the meaning behind it, calling him by his name. 

Qi Zhou's eyes dilated in an unexplainable gesture. "If that's what you want, I will take the risk with you," he finally said.

Surprised, Sun Wei didn't hesitate to lift the lady's head and pushed the blue pill inside her mouth. Both stepped backward, ready to face any danger.

Who knows what will happen? What if the blue pill failed and turned the lady into a gruesome and berserk type? At least they are prepared to risk their lives.

But those thoughts quickly vanished when they saw the sudden change in the lady's appearance. Her blackened, crying eyes were now back to pure light brown, her fangs disappeared and the sharp nails from his fingers slowly went back to normal. 

Everything subsided, revealing the beauty behind the lady's form. 

Both were stunned and speechless at the same time. They didn't know that it would take effect in a positive way. They are lucky because Yuan left the blue pill for them. 

They have succeeded.
