Transmigrated Into The Book

The night was young and starry. A group of stars with lazy eyes scattered around the moon like grains of diamonds. Sparkling through the dark sky. The place was aglow with bright Village lights. Yumeng Village became more lively. The sides of the streets are still full of people enjoying themselves in the busy night. Children are still awake, running around and playing.

Sun Wei leaned his elbow on the windowpane and gazed down. His eyes glimmer with the lights as he watches the bubbly market not far away from the Inn they're into. He released a sigh and pursed his lips out. Another day has passed and they are still trapped in that one idea. 'The Jiangyin Incident',

Yuan told them about everything, but it seems like the things happening around them are getting more and more complicated. Why would a royal do such things? If the red pill came from the eyepatch man, then why did he help the customer and gave him a blue pill? What if the blue pill had the same effect? But the server told Yuan and Xianyu that it quickly healed the convulsion.

Sun Wei once again snorted while thinking deeply. He needed an answer to everything. Why did that man take Xianyu away from them so suddenly? Is he also a healer? Did the eyepatch man need help? If so, what kind of help does he need?

A light footstep approached him. "What are you thinking that your face is almost wrinkled?" Qi Zhou leaned onto the other side as he also gazed at the night market meters away from the window. "You have something in mind?" he asked.

Sun Wei clicked his tongue, "Things are just so complicated," he stated.

His answer made Qi Zhou shoot a glance at him. "What do you mean?," he asked, puzzled face. "Are you talking about Xianyu's kidnapping?,"

"Don't you find it a little odd?," Sun Wei rolled his eyes, "That eyepatch man approached us on purpose," he also glances at Qi Zhou, "He knew that we are with Xianyu, he just waited the right time to snatch him away from us,"

His answer surprised the male. Qi Zhou fell silent for a minute, then he spoke again. "Then, is the Jiangyin incident also part of his plan? Did he make the red pill to draw our attention?" he stated as a question.

Sun Wei straightened himself from leaning on the window, his face turned more serious. "If that's your conclusion, that eye patch man was so good at making that Jiangyin lady his puppet to capture us," he grinned. "I couldn't wait to punch him in the face for causing too much trouble,"

After declaring his thoughts, a commotion down the Inn happened.

Screams echoed in the area that it almost reached the rooms upstairs. The Inn had an eatery on its first floor and the sound came from there. 

The two didn't hesitate to rush down.

When Sun Wei reached the end of the stairs, a woman who was also a customer there grasped his arms. "H-H-Help! M-Mons---" but before she could finish her sentence, she collapsed. Qi Zhou was quick to catch her. "What happened?!" he exclaimed, making his voice louder than the commotion.

Instead of getting an answer, the woman pinned Qi Zhou down, which made him groan from his head, hitting the hard stairs. "H-Hey! C-Calm, do---" His eyes widened after seeing the woman's blackened eyes, crying with blood. Her mouth was stretched to her ears and there was only one word coming from her mouth. 

"BLOOD!!" 

The moment she screamed, Qi Zhou blocked his arms above his face because he knew what would happen next. The woman's sharp fangs attacked him. It impaled deeply into his right arm that caused his blood to drip out.

"Zhou!!!" Although surprised, Sun Wei's hands moved on its own as he grabbed the woman away from Qi Zhou by only using one hand. The woman hit the hard wall of the Inn that made her paralyzed for the meantime. 

Sun Wei crouched down and lifted the other guy, but since the situations weren't favoring them, Qi Zhou stood straight. "We need to eradicate them all," he mumbled, wiping the blood that spurted on his face.

Their attention then turned to the real thing in front of them. The Inn was messed up. The chairs and tables are now broken and were thrown to every corner of the area. There are other customers hiding and screaming, trying to preserve their lives. 

But the most intriguing were the figures standing and groaning in pain while murmuring the same word, just like the woman. BLOOD.

"They already turned into a jiangyins," Qi Zhou winced, gripping his wounded left arm. Sun Wei made a quick glance at him. "Are you sure you can fight?" he asked, worried. 

Qi Zhou smirked, "Don't underestimate me, I'm not talking sh*t here," as he said those words, a purple light arose from his right palm, it danced in the air forming a dagger. 

Two jiangyins dashed towards them right in time. Qi Zhou slid his one leg backwards and swiftly swayed his weapon forward, splitting the two in halves together. 

It turned to ashes in an instant. 

'Why did they turn to ashes? I thought they're still curable?' That's the question that rang inside their thoughts the moment they witnessed an additional problem. 

Two more drooling jiangyins with their darkened crying blood eyes charged towards them. 

Sun Wei drew out his energy and thrusted his palm in the air. A gust of illuminating red light threw the creatures away as they also turned to ashes after slamming into the wall. 

Qi Zhou leaned on Sun Wei's back, as they were now ready to fight side by side. 

While the left Jiangyins dashed onto them, the lady who bit Qi Zhou started to move her fingers. The smell of blood once again made her lively. She started drooling with her fangs showing very sharp. But instead of attacking the innocent people in the Inn, she fell on her knees. "I'm sorry!!! I don't want to die!" she cried, then she laughed, turning her voice from deep to hoarse. 

Sun Wei slashed the jiangyin on his right, "What is happening to her?!" he exclaimed to the male fighting behind him.

"Hiyaa!!" Qi Zhou kicked another, "I don't know, but I think we can save her! She had the Y-mark on his neck, while the others had none!" He bent down to support Sun Wei's left. "Did you notice?,"

Sun Wei nodded, "Let's finish this and investigate!"
