Chapter 308 - World 10.46

Sun Wei once again took a step, walking back and forth in the same area over and over again. His right hand was under his chin while the other one was leaning on his stomach. In front of him was Qi Zhou, who was also observing his gesture for almost an hour.

"What the heck are you doing? Are you not feeling dizzy?" He blabbed out as soon as he realized that he couldn't stand the view any longer.

Sun Wei paused, he clicked his tongue. "What do you think?" he asked.

Qi Zhou tilted his head on the right side. "What sh*t are you talking about? Just spit it out." His face now crooked.

"You really are dumb,"

Qi Zhou sprang from his seat as his eyes twirled in annoyance. "The heck is wrong with you? You wanna fight?" then he made a ball of his fist like he was charging at the male. He was in a good mood, but because he heard an insult, he changed his mind.

Sun Wei looked at him, confused. He didn't know if he would laugh or be surprised. It was clear as day, the other male couldn't get what he was talking about. Sun Wei cleared his throat and replied. "Are we not talking about the blue pill? The f*ck happened to your mind? Did you lose your screws?"

Though Qi Zhou was stunned, how would he not? Sun Wei already adapted his way of speaking and now it was used against him. He looked at the male with sarcastic eyes, but quickly take it back the moment he realized that he was indeed dumb. "Yeah," he uttered one word, then he sat down again.

Sun Wei didn't argue with him at all. He cleared his throat, "According to the lady, the red pill came from her friend, which is one of the royal court ladies." He shot a quick glance at Qi Zhou. "Is it possible that the eyepatch man was a royal too?"

When he said the last words, their eyes met again and then blurted out the same thought. "The demon prince!"

Qi Zhou scratched his head. "Wait, wait, wait," he paused. "Didn't the demon prince die a long time ago?" he asked in confusion.

"But he was a demon, you know how powerful he was,"

Qi Zhou nodded his head, agreeing with Sun Wei. "You are right, but why is he targeting us?" he asked again, another confusion.

This time, a smack landed on his head. "Idiot! Have you forgotten that 'Lan' is Xianyu's surname?" he snorted.

Qi Zhou rubbed his head and glared at the male, thinking that not only he got his words, but also half of his behavior. He just cursed him inside his mind, then he crossed his arms and uttered one word. "REVENGE,"

Sun Wei's face became light this time, relieved that his colleague was now getting what he wanted to conclude. "That's why he took Xianyu,"

"Wait!"

Sun Wei was taken back again as he quickly blurted out. "What?"

"But they're close, in the past…" Qi Zhou said, even though he was also unsure of it.

Sun Wei glared at him and clicked his tongue, "How are you so sure? After all, Xianyu betrayed him in the past. Everything has changed now! Think carefully," he snorted like he was cracking the male's brain to put what he wanted to explain.

Qi Zhou fell silent for a while, then he stood up. He took his robe from the chair beside the table and put it on with swaying sleeves. "Let's go to the royal palace," his face turned back to his plain and intimidating expression.

The other male halted behind him. "And how are we going to do that?" he asked hesitantly.

Qi Zhou paused when he reached the door, his hand that was about to twist the knob when it twisted on its own. The door slowly opened and both of them were stunned when a man in fine hanfu met them.

"Master!" they exclaimed in unison, clasping their hands and bowing their heads.

As soon as they realized that it was Lou Rouhan, they froze. Both bodies turned stiff with pale faces.

Rouhan put his hands behind and roamed his eyes behind the two like he was looking for someone inside the room. "Xianyu? Where?" he asked.

The moment the name was mentioned, the two males jolted in nervousness. They looked at each other then averted their gaze to opposite directions.

Rouhan got what the two were doing. He tapped his forehead using his index finger. "I know what happened." He mumbled.

"Ehh?!!!" Sun Wei was the first one to break the silence, "Master!" he blurted out as his face turned more whiter than his usual skin.

Thus, Qi Zhou stepped forward, but when he was about to utter a word, a white silhouette of a light forming a bird twirled around them.

Rouhan flicked his hand, then the light bird perched on his shoulder. "I've been watching your moves from afar," the spirit bird beside him glanced towards the two and lowered its head like it was giving them a greeting.

Sun Wei and Qi Zhou also nodded their heads to show respect. Of course, if it's part of Rouhan's energy, they should show manners towards it.

"How far has your investigation come?" Rouhan stepped inside while the two gave way to him. Since it seems like they are going to discuss something private, Qi Zhou draws something in the air using his qi then he pushes it on the door. A sealing talisman.

The two followed the man.

Sun Wei and Rouhan took the two seats across the table while Qi Zhou crossed his arms. He remained in his stance with a blank expression.

Rouhan cleared his throat. "Tell me everything you know," he stated. He glanced at the two with his eyes full of wandering thoughts. "Xianyu, he was in danger,"

Sun Wei and Qi Zhou were startled but didn't let it carry them away. They remained in their composure. Since Rouhan was here, they were relieved.

With this man's powers, they will surely save Xianyu in no time.
