Chapter 315 - World 10.53

THE TIME OF REVENGE III...

The quiet and peaceful village became a disaster. The houses were all set into fires and everything turned to ashes. The people scream and some of them get trampled down. Who would believe that the prince, the crowned prince of the wealthy kingdom turned to a demon.

Screams can be heard everywhere, kids and women, men and older ones. Blood spurted everywhere, it now covered the green grass and the fresh leaves in crimson. The dandelion color of the fire consuming the surroundings grew brighter.

"SHOW YOURSELF!!"

That scream made the surroundings more dominant. Everyone froze to their feet. The crowned prince of the Bai Kingdom is now causing havoc and destruction. The prince they admire for being kind and helpful are now full of extreme anger. His eyes full of tenderness are now replaced by his chilly sharp gazes.

From a small dump, a figure came out. He was a man in his middle 40s. He was wearing simple white garments and straw shoes. He trudged outside and the moment he saw the prince; he kneeled down in front of him.

"Your highness, please stop avenging your father," he said with a gentle voice.

A chuckle replied to him instead. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO TELL ME THAT!? THE KILLER OF MY FATHER, THE EMPEROR!!" Yuan snarled.

Master Lan lowered his head and did a kowtow. "Your highness, I will never do such a thing. I care for his highness, the emperor, so much," his voice cracked. "I am innocent. I don't know a single thing...please stop all of this," he pleaded.

Yuan clenched his fist. He felt sympathy from the man's words. He knew that his father and the emperor were having a great relationship. He wants to believe, but there is a part of him that says he shouldn't. He will never fall for his tricks.

"LIAR!! YOU WILL NEVER FOOL ME!" Yuan yelled, he thrusted his palm in the air and in an instant, the trees behind the man flew away, cutting it into halves.

Master Lan didn't move. He remained there with his lowered head. He wanted to cry and embrace Yuan, but it was too late. He wanted to give him sincere love and sympathy. It's too hard for a prince to lose a father.

"Your highness, please! Stop all of this!" This time, Master Lan raised his head and looked Yuan in his eyes. "Your father doesn't want you to be like this!" he snapped a string inside Yuan's consciousness.

Yuan turned more agitated, "HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY FATHER!!" This time, a red light glowed from his eyes, enveloping him from below.

It is said that the red orb from the red river drives people insane. Its power will corrupt someone's heart if it's full of revenge. And because the power of it was transferred to Yuan, he will endure its power. It was the reason he had one red eye, but now, both of his eyes are red.

With the flick of his fingers, the corpse of the dead people slowly levitated from the muddy grass. Their eyes became dark as it cried with blood. Arms longer than the normal ones with sharp nails. Fangs grew between their mouths.

"YOU SHOULD DIE!!!" Yuan's voice became hoarse and, in the blink of his eyes, the so-called jiangyins dashed forward, devouring the man kneeling in front of him.

Master Lan didn't fight back. He received what the prince wanted. He will endure it until his very last breath. His limbs parted away from his body while his blood was splattered everywhere. For his very last breath, before closing his eyes and facing death, he mumbled. "My prince, please save Xianyu,"

Yuan laughed hysterically. He was now satisfied. Is he really satisfied? Is this really the right thing to do? He looked around, observing everything. The disasters he has made are now sinking to him, slowly piercing him.

For the last time, he heard Master Lan uttered his name. Yuan fell down on his knees. The man coughed blood as he caressed the prince's face; he smiled. "P-Prince Y-Yuan.." he gritted his teeth to gather some strength. "P-Please s-save X-X-Xianyu," his cold hand fell.

Yuan's eyes became more sorrowful. He almost dropped the dead body in front of his eyes. He got scared and stayed away from the body as soon as possible. He watched the jiangyins devoured his teacher, Xianyu's father.

He did it all; it was all his fault. He succumbed to darkness instead of walking on the bright path. Yuan grabbed his hair while his nails almost scratched his face. He's going insane, shouting and yelling.

He didn't even realize that the darkness of the night already conquered the sky.

Memories slowly flashed through his mind. The days were when he and Xianyu would tiptoe just to smell the scented medicines made by Master Lan. When they were running around the medicinal hall of his kingdom.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Yuan punched himself really hard so that his lips bleed, he watched the blood in his palms. It was not his; it was from the man he killed.

"Yuan!!!!"

The prince was stunned. He quickly stood up and turned around. He froze and couldn't even utter a word. The figure dashed into him.

"Yuan! What are you doing?!" Xianyu yelled. He gasped, his breaths tired from running. "Yuan!! This is not what you wanted!" he exclaimed.

Xianyu lifted his trembling feet and dashed forward, "Please stop!!!" He grabbed Yuan, but he was quickly pinned down. He winces when his head bounces on the ground.

Yuan grabbed his collar. "WHAT RIGHT YOU HAVE TO STOP ME?!!" He exclaimed. His red eyes were filled with anger and contempt. "YOUR FATHER KILLED MY FATHER!!! I TRUSTED YOU BUT YOU BETRAYED ME!!"

"Yuan!! Stop!! You are not a demon!! Come back!!" This time Xianyu released all the tension he was feeling. He caressed Yuan's cheeks with his teary eyes. "Please come back…"

The piercing gaze Yuan had a while ago became tender. He loosened his grip on Xianyu's collar. Sobs started to escape his lips. "I just want to bring my father back. It hurts so much,"
