Chapter 316 - World 10.54

"He's awake,"

"Let him rest a little more,"

The murmuring voices slowly got him snapped back. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the familiar roof made of wood planks. He lifted his hand and rubbed his eyes.

"Hmm.." Xianyu blinked. He twisted his head to the right side and saw two figures arguing with each other.

"I told you to lower your voice!"

"Excuse me! You are the shitty noisy here!"

"Are you blaming me?!"

"So what? You wanna fight, huh?"

He ignored them and lifted his body up. The dizziness quickly struck him, making him stagger for the meantime. Xianyu closed his eyes and massaged his temples. He slightly smiles after seeing the two, always bickering with each other.

On his left side, a figure crouched down and offered him a cup of herbal tea. Xianyu opened his eyes again and looked at Rouhan. The other male half smiled and held his hand. He placed the cup into Xianyu's palm. "Take this and rest more." Rouhan didn't wait for an answer. He stood up and walked away.

'What happened to me, why am I so dizzy?' Xianyu mumbled to himself as he delivered the cup to his lips. He took a sip, but after tasting the tea, he spurted it out like a fountain. He rolled out his tongue with his crumpled face. "What the heck is this?!" he exclaimed.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!"

Sun Wei was almost curling on the floor laughing at him. Xianyu looked at him with knitted eyebrows while gripping the cup in his right hand.

Qi Zhou stood up and smacked Sun Wei's head. "Stop laughing, idiot! You even did the same expression after drinking the tea earlier." he said, walking away.

That snapped Sun Wei back, so he also followed Qi Zhou with his piercing gazes towards the kitchen while snarling at him. "You wanna fight, huh?!"

Xianyu brushed his face in dismay. Seeing the two bickering at each other is indeed normal for him. He sighed, letting himself alone in the empty room. He put the cup on the table and rolled out his legs. He stretched it because he feels like it almost got numb from sleeping.

Xianyu paused, "Wait? What day is it today? Why do I feel like I sleep for so long?" he tilted his head while talking to himself.

The house was very familiar; it was the shack Rouhan bought for them. The difference is, it was now divided into proper rooms. Inches from his bed, there was a window. Xianyu stood up this time. He tried to massage his legs more.

The window was half open and the dim lights were covering half of the room, so he decided to open it. He took two steps, slowly, while his hands were gripping anything that can use as a support.

Finally, his hands reached the window. Xianyu pushed it wide open. The birds from the trees flapped their wings out and flew away. The sudden 'thud' from the window startled them. Xianyu rested his elbows on the corner and peeked outside.

The warm sun welcomed him when he looked up. He used his other hand to block the rays from hitting his eyes. It's clear that it's already noon. He lowered his gaze towards the forest. The trees became more shady, and the bushes became more thick.

"Hmm.." Xianyu hummed. "This scenery is exquisite," a different emotion jolted into his body when the dizziness hit him again. He frowned while trying to bring back his balance. "Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something I shouldn't?" He asked himself in confusion.

It was when a butterfly passed in front of his eyes; it circled like it was playing with him. Xianyu was in awe while watching it because its wings had a very beautiful and colorful pattern. But when he was about to reach his hand out, it flew away.

"Ehh?" he uttered. "I was going to give you my finger," he complained.

After minutes of sulking to the butterfly, he heard knocks on the door. It opened and showed Rouhan. The man walked inside while Xianyu just observed him take the cup with still half of the tea inside. "I told you to drink it," Rouhan commented.

Xianyu gulped, the bitterness of the aftertaste attacked his tongue again. "Uhh..Ermm…" He averted his gaze, trying to reason out.

"It's a herbal tea. I put effort into doing this," Rouhan raised one brow. "It can help you circulate your Qi, don't you like the taste?" he said, smelling the liquid from the cup.

Xianyu flinched after hearing the word 'effort'. He didn't like it to go to waste either. It's just that he couldn't stand how bitter it was. He dashed towards Rouhan and took the cup away from his hands, then with one gulp, he chugged it all.

He closed his eyes tight and exclaimed. "Waahh!!!! So bitter!!!" he almost rolled out his tongue like he was going to choke.

Rouhan didn't mind him, he instead walked to the window. "You open this?" he asked.

Dumbfounded, Xianyu nodded his head. He realized how fast he was earlier when he took the cup from Rouhan's hands. He didn't stumble and lose his balance. He slammed the cup onto the table after feeling refreshed. "Say, Master!!" he called out.

Some nerves on Rouhan's forehead cracked. "I told you to stop calling me Master," he insisted.

The male approached him as they both shared the window. Xianyu put his other hand under his chin while his elbow was supported by the sill. "How long have I been sleeping?" he asked.

A light chuckle escaped Rouhan's lips. "You are always asking the same question repeatedly," he said.

Xianyu tilted his head. "Ehh?" he asked in confusion.

Rouhan didn't answer him, he said. "This will trigger something in your memory, so stay still…" he lifted his hands and flicked Xianyu on the forehead.

A gust of flashing light struck Xianyu like he was drawn into an illusion. It didn't last long; it was only a couple of minutes. When he opened his eyes, the first word he uttered was. "Author?"
