Transmigrated Into The Book

Chapter 322 - World 10.60

The next morning, Xianyu woke up early from his usual time. He fixed his bed and headed out and was stunned to see Sun Wei outside the house, cultivating alone. He opened the windows and leaned on the sill. With his elbows supporting his hands, cupping his chin.

He let out a snort. "Such a short-tempered guy," he mumbled to himself.

Xianyu remained like that for a while, observing the cultivating male. Sun Wei was always grumpy towards him, but when they were in a tight situation, he was the first one to give Xianyu support and encouragement.

If Qi Zhou was truly right about Sun Wei worrying about him, he should at least thank him. Though this is not the right time for that. Xianyu let it go and went to the kitchen instead.

"You're awake," Qi Zhou greeted him with a teapot in his hands. Xianyu nodded his head and sat down across the table. He sluggishly sighed. "You're early too," he mumbled.

Qi Zhou took another cup and placed it in front of Xianyu, he poured the teapot and said. "Drink,"

Watching the steaming cup of tea, Xianyu pondered. The other male noticed him, "Don't worry, I put honey in it, it's not bitter," Qi Zhou stated.

Xianyu gently took the cup of tea and twirled it around like he was observing the dancing liquid inside. He sniffed it and observed carefully before delivering it to his lips to have a taste.

Qi Zhou smiles slightly while observing the male. He wanted to laugh. He wanted to tease Xianyu, who fears herbal tea, but he didn't bother himself anymore because Sun Wei entered the kitchen.

"What's with the long face?" Qi Zhou instead teases Sun Wei, who dropped his butt on the long chair across the table.

"Humph!" Sun Wei snorted after seeing Xianyu. He averted his gaze, not even looking back.

Xianyu saw him but didn't mind. He continued to sip his tea quietly. Although he was peeking in the corner of his cup to watch Sun Wei's grumpy expression. The truth is, he wanted to talk to him about yesterday, but it seems like the male is still angry.

"What are you looking at?!" Sun Wei finally noticed him. "You want to fight?" He slammed both hands on the table.

Xianyu jolted, he slowly put down his cup and turned his gaze to Qi Zhou, who was standing behind the other male.

Qi Zhou patted Sun Wei's shoulder, "It's too early for arguing, he wants to tell you something, so hear him out" after saying that, he turned his eyes to Xianyu and nodded.

While Sun Wei crossed his arms. "Whatever!" he blurted out. "This brat will never listen to me anyway, what's the sense of educating him this and that?" he clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Xianyu didn't know what to gesture, if he would laugh or snort. Sun Wei is indeed right, he would never listen. But he wasn't here to argue, he wanted to apologize for suddenly bursting out yesterday.

"Sun Wei-gege, I apologize," Xianyu bowed his head. "And...thank you for worrying about me,"

Sun Wei froze, all of his body hair stood up and crawled around his system, giving him goosebumps. When everything sank in his thoughts, he sprang up. "WHAT?!"

He exclaimed, not because he was angry but because Xianyu's sudden apology surprised him. "What are you doing?!" he repeated himself.

Qi Zhou almost scoffed. Seeing Sun Wei getting awkward when he was the one who had a short temper attitude. He stepped between the two. "My, my, enough arguing...both have a valid reason to get angry." he stated, patting the snarling Sun Wei.

Xianyu then lowered his head and didn't talk anymore.

After the conversation in the morning, they went down the mountains. They are going back to the Village to ask a fellow. The lady from the Inn.

As they approached the Village, lots of people again welcomed their sights. Since they saved this famous Inn from the jiangyins, they can stay there as long they want. The guards aren't pulling them anymore.

Once again, the colorful marketplace with different sweets and rice cakes welcomed Xianyu's sight. His eyes beamed and his toes almost elated from the different food stalls they're passing by.

Sun Wei, who was walking behind them, nagged the male beside him. "Is he that desperate for a rice cake?" he snorted, which made Qi Zhou glance at him. "He likes it," the male answered.

Rouhan and Xianyu are walking in front of them while they are behind, watching their backs.

Xianyu was enjoying their stroll like a kid first time going out from the house while gripping at Rouhan's sleeves. Qi Zhou even mumbled to himself that Xianyu is adorable.

The sun already showed up, and it's already noon, so they decided to stop by the Inn for some drinks and foods.

As expected, the Inn owner they helped welcomed them wholeheartedly. He let them take the very first seat near the counter and immediately served them the best.

Across the table, Xianyu remained silent while roaming his eyes around. The place had a very elegant interior. No wonder some of the imperial guards were there, chugging their drinks while taking their rest.

After a minute of chatting, a lady with long brown hair, wearing an elegant white hanfu with a flowery fan, approached them. They thought it was the lady, but it turns out that she was one of the lady's attendants.

"Masters, please follow me, Lady Daiyu wanted to have a private talk," she bowed her head gently and smiled. "There was a carriage waiting outside. We are waiting," she twirled gracefully and bid her goodbye.

All of them finished their drinks and food, then they headed outside. There was indeed a carriage waiting for them. It couldn't be helped, since Daiyu was the daughter of the royal minister.

From that carriage, a small window parted its thin curtains slowly. It revealed a young, beautiful lady with her fan covering half of her face. Her eyes were obsidian black and her hair tied up in a very fine bun with a flower pin.

Daiyu nodded her head the moment she met Xianyu's eyes. A smile stretches her face.
