Transmigrated Into The Book

The night was deep; it dotted the silvery moon with the dark blue night sky. The small stars twinkling with lights are mischievously squinting like saying hello to him. 

Xianyu sighed and closed the window, he should be sleeping by now. His mind was full of questions. After talking to Lady Daiyu, she insisted on letting them stay for the night since tomorrow they were going to visit Mei Shin's family.

At first, this mission is all about the jiangyins and where they came from. But of course, it will never stay like that, things are getting more deeper and mysterious. They thought that the jiangyins will end up to that lady from the pier, but it seems like the mastermind behind everything was one of the royals in the palace.

Xianyu rolled on the other side and pulled up the blanket upwards. 'Could it be the emperor?' he mumbled his thoughts. 

His brows knit between his nose. If it was the emperor, then he can ask Yi Lin for help. He knew that the second prince could help him.

He also had a visit to the medicinal hall when he was in the palace. Xianyu sprang up, 'That's right, I didn't see any red pills from the medicinal hall!' He almost covers his mouth to stop his mind from exclaiming.

He stood up from the bed trudged towards the door. When he was about to slide it open, he realized that it was locked from the outside.

"Ehh? What happened?"

Xianyu tried to pull it again, but nothing happened. This time, he made a noise by calling someone. He tried to call Sun Wei and Qi Zhou, even Rouhan's name, but no one came over. 

In the middle of his panic, a loud bang echoed inside the room. It turns out that a strong wind whacked the window open. Xianyu dashed towards to check what it was. To his surprise, he saw the creatures he didn't wish to see. 

Jiangyins are everywhere, below the window they are trying to crawl up, reaching him. "What is happening?!" right after he exclaimed, the door opened.

"Xianyu! Are you alright?!" 

It was Qi Zhou who kicked the door; he approached the male who was still looking down from the window. "They are everywhere! Don't lock your door in times like this," he snorted.

Xianyu flinched. "But I--" his jaw was left half open when Qi Zhou pulled him outside. "Whatever! Come with me!" he said.

"How did they end up here?" He asked in confusion. If Xianyu was right, he was perfectly relaxed and rolling on his bed earlier. Then when did this all happen?

"There's no time for that!" Qi Zhou pushed him when two jiangyins dashed towards them. He opened his palm and grouped his fingers, a dagger made of light emerged from his hands, its halo swung in every slice. 

"Why are you killing them?!" Xianyu was a bit surprised, he was supposed to heal them. 

Qi Zhou gritted his teeth and moved in front of Xianyu, hiding the male on his back. Another jiangyin charged, he bent one of his legs and moved his arms forward, throwing the dagger from his left hand. The jiangyin completely turned to ashes "Let's go!" he dragged Xianyu once again.

Xianyu, who was still running with Qi Zhou, asked. "What is happening?! I thought this is over?" he tried to make his voice louder. 

But before the male could answer, Sun Wei yelled at them. "Hurry!" he was waving his hand in his direction. It was at the back gate of the manor. 

The two male quickly dashed to meet him. Gasping for breath and sweating.

"How many are left?" 

Sun Wei's expression was serious, with a little blood on his forehead. "This jiangyins are not normal," he said.

"Sun Wei, you're bleeding, let me heal you" Xianyu dashed and brushed the male's hair. He closed his eyes and tapped his forehead. Green light emerged from his palm and circled around Sun Wei's head for a minute. The wound slowly closed and disappeared. 

"Thanks, but we need to hurry. Lady Daiyu already prepared an escape carriage." Sun Wei wiped the left blood and opened the gate beside him.

"Wait! What is happening? Where these jiangyins came from?" Xianyu grasped Qi Zhou's arms, completely puzzled. "And why are they turning into ashes?"

The two didn't have time to explain. Xianyu was still dazed. He thought that he could heal a person once it turned into a jiangyin. "I don't understand!" he exclaimed once again.

"We have no time!" 

After saying that, in an instant, group of jiangyins once again broke out and dashed into them. Sun Wei and Qi Zhou had no choice but to prepare themselves to fight.

"Hurry!!! Run and meet Lady Daiyu beside the back gate, near the big tree over there!!!" Sun Wei yelled as he thrusted his palm, writing figures in the air. A green circle array emerged to cover them.

"What about you two?" Xianyu asked, he was also in panic and didn't know where to gaze. 

Qi Zhou clicked his tongue, "We will follow you! We know the place! Master is waiting for you there! Hurry and stop talking bullsh*ts!" 

Xianyu turned his heels and opened the small wooden gate, a passageway to the side road. He dashed and saw a carriage under the tree, waiting for him.

Lady Daiyu met him with worried eyes. "Please ride the carriage," she said, patting Xianyu's back. 

Xianyu insisted, still his palm on the small door. "Can we at least wait for them?" 

Lady Daiyu twitched his lips in silence and averted her gaze as she covered her lips with her fan. "I'm afraid not, I promised them to secure your safety." with her words, she pushed Xianyu inside as she also walked in. 

The male stumbled, and before he could get up; the carriage started to gallop on the road. Xianyu then realized that they are the ones in that small space. Rouhan wasn't there, he became suspicious.

"Where's Rouhan?!" he exclaimed, gazing at the lady sitting properly beside him. 

Once again, Lady Daiyu opened her fan and chuckled under it. A strange smell wafted through the air. It came from the lady's fan. Xianyu wobbled down until he fell into slumber.
