Transmigrated Into The Book

Chapter 327 - Second Arc 1.4

The voices of the reporters from the news echoed inside the living room. The television was loud enough to let the one cooking inside the kitchen heard the news.

In front of that big television was a glass table and a long couch. The wooden and shiny floor was covered in a very soft mat.

A child, in the age between 7 to 8, is playing there. One truck in his right hand and one toy car in the left. He was bumping it to each other repeatedly while making his own sounds. He had other boxes of toys and a set of books, but he got carried away with the theme he was playing.

A lady from the kitchen entered the living room. She already removed her apron, a sign that she was finished from cooking. The lady leaned on the couch's head and watched the child playing. She smiled and said. "You are playing that over and over again,"

The kid who was going to bump the truck and car once again, paused. He tilted his head and looked up. "Mama, play with me," he picked another toy car and reached it out to the lady.

The lady walked over and turned off the television, she sat on the sofa. "Come here" she picked up the face towel on the table after seeing the sweats from the child's hand. This child was a boy.

The young boy followed her, he sat obediently and closed his eyes. He was doing it whenever his mother would wipe his face and forehead. "Do you want me to read you a book?" she asked, pinching the child's nose.

The child nodded his head. Ever since his father gave him a book, he started to like it more. Even though he didn't know how to read properly, he would just stare at it and observe the pictures.

His father was a novelist, he was writing and writing all day. Sometimes he will catch her mother waking his father from his desk. Pulling all the nighters to write another story. His father even built a library.

Inside the library, he will spend his time there looking and scanning the books from his father. At the age of 7, he picked up some simple words.

The kid looked at her mom and asked. "When will dad come back?"

It made his mother silent, but then she quickly smiled. "Daddy is working right now," she said, though there was a sadness from her tone.

The child pondered, "I miss him,"

His mother didn't answer this time. She instead pulled the child into her embrace and gave him a pat on the head. "Are you hungry, little Yang?" she asked. "Let's eat,"

The child hugged her back with his little hands and said. "Little Yang is not hungry, I want papa" he mumbled.

It caused another sting to his mother's chest. The truth is she didn;t know what to say to her child. Because even she couldn't explain her husband's sudden disappearance. The only thing she remembered was when her husband brought an empty book from work.

At first she was also surprised, who would make a book with empty pages. She didn't even give it a damn but the next morning when she visited her husband to eat their breakfast, she was stunned. Her husband was nowhere to be found, in their library and in his desk.

She thought that her husband might have already gone to work but when she tried to call his phone, it was left near their table bed. She was surprised because her husband never left his phone.

The only thing his husband left was the empty book with his name imprinted on the cover. Since then, she threw that book away after months of being left behind.

Until Yang grew up and entered highschool. He was a good and studious child. Just like his father, Yang would stay up late all night to read and write his own novels. He has had a talent since he was a child. But after growing up into a full 22 intern student, he started to take company interviews.

After that, Yang understood what happened to his father. At first, he thought that it was just a joke his mother told him so that he would not think of his father leaving them and his responsibilities.

The book flipped its pages and flew from Xianyu's hands. It laid flat on the table, empty. The light from it vanishes.

Xianyu turned his head once more, trying to find the man talking to him. "What do you mean?! I was transmigrated inside the book, right?"

He was surprised to find the book empty. As far as he can remember, his name was imprinted on the book cover. From that moment, a flashing light pulled him inside. He ended up going to the different worlds and stories inside the book.

"Do you remember the souls? The people you encountered in different worlds,"

Xianyu nodded his head, remembering the names from Jihoon, Luke, Ruru, Luca and so on. His head started to hurt. He grabbed his hair and fell on his knees. Buzzing sound started to bang his ears.

"Now you are slowly gaining it back even though I sealed your memories,"

Xianyu gritted his teeth, "W-What is h-happening?!" he blurted out.

A black silhouette forming a figure emerged in front of him. That man crouched down and grinned. "Chen Yang, it's not too late to change your future," he said.

Xianyu curled up on the floor while trying to control his dizziness. Everything was starting to sink in his mind. He clenched his fist, "What do you mean?!"

"Chen Yang, you have two wishes, remember?" The man clenched Xianyu's jaw and made him meet his face. But since he was wearing a mask, the other male couldn't recognize him. He was amused by that expression, so he slid his hands down to Xianyu's neck.

"Nghh!!" Xianyu felt the light grasp and groaned.

"Chen Yang, I'm giving you the option to make a wish, say it and I will grant it,"
