Transmigrated Into The Book

A loud slam on the table resounded in the tight atmosphere. In the rage of his anger, he gritted his teeth. "I want him to be by my side to protect him! Isn't it hard to understand?" Yuan exclaimed, totally lost control.

"Hey! Who the hell are you to show us such an attitude?!" Sun Wei also stood up and was going to grab Yuan by the collar when Qi Zhou stopped him. "Enough, you two," 

Sun Wei sat down and so did Yuan. Both gritting their jaw and clenching their fist. 

Xianyu was kidnapped almost a week ago and they literally find their way just to see Yuan. They know that he could help them. After fighting the jiangyins away, they thought that Lady Daiyu would fetch them back, but it only lead them to another suspicion. 

They waited until morning but no carriage arrived. They even went to the said meeting place but it turns out that they just got lured away. 

Yuan lowered his head with his elbows leaning on the table, and massaged his temples. "Who took him?" he asked.

"We are not sure," Qi Zhou replied. "Everything happened fast, the sudden change of events are confusing," 

Yuan knitted his brows more, "Do you know a place where he can be taken?" He was now getting anxious. The feeling of losing him is crawling into his system because he wasn't sure who took the male. He knew this time, Yi Lin wasn't involved.

"We have no idea," Qi Zhou replied. His glances roamed and hiteted the young child sitting on the bed. "Who's him?" 

Surprised by his sudden notice, Feng bowed his head. 

"He's the child from the market," Yuan answered, looking at Feng and then at the two men again. "Feng, come here for a second," 

Shy, Feng stood up and went beside Yuan, still with his head lowered. He didn't know what was happening and he was a bit shocked when Yuan and Sun Wei almost yelled at each other. There's only one thing he can get, that his 'pretty brother' is in danger. 

Yuan gave him a pat on the head, "Don't be shy, it's okay...they are my acquaintance," this time, his tone was mellow.

Seeing that there was a child between them, Sun Wei fixed his expression. He doesn't want to scare the kid away. 

"What's his name?" 

Yuan tapped Feng's back, he was trying to loosen the nervousness in him. Slowly, he whispered. "It's okay, you can tell them everything,"

Seeing and hearing the assurance from the man who took him and saved him. Feng lifted his head. "My name is Feng," he said.

Qi Zhou then smiled at the child, "Why are you here? Is somebody threatening you?"

Feng shrugged his shoulders, a little bit stiff. "T-They t-took my g-grandmother," his voice started to shake again, recalling the events he witnessed.

Sun Wei felt a little bit guilty from his actions earlier. He was gritting and yelling and yet there's a child with a heavy heart around them. He must have scared the kid. "Hey," the sudden call from him made Feng flinch, causing to look at him. "Why did they take your grandmother?"

Feng fidgeted with his fingers. "S-She knows...the red pills" he replied. "The red pill from the eyepatch man," 

Qi Zhou and Sun Wei look at each other with both puzzled faces. Isn't Yi Lin the eye patch man? The one who took Xianyu away from them. Is there another eyepatch man? Is Yi Lin lying to them?

"Who is this eyepatch man?" Sun Wei knitted his brows and looked at Yuan. 

"How much do you know?" Qi Zhou also asked. 

Yi Lin did it the first time. He took Xianyu for help, to get Yuan back. Did he just fool them and pretend to be the eyepatch man? Then who is the real eyepatch man? 

Yuan stood up, "I need to see him," he mumbled. The two boys looked at him "Who's him?" 

"My brother, Yi Lin…" 

Sun Wei was surprised, "Wait! Are you literally going to see the crowned prince for this?!"

Yuan just looked at him with a blank expression. "You guys need to come with me," he said

The iron doors creaked open. The man laying on the wooden bed turned his head, he was about to look who entered his cell when a voice spoke. "Your highness, there are people wishing for your audience," the lady servant bowed her head. 

The man sat up and chuckled. He was laughing at his own self because of the name, the servant called him. "His Highness, ehh?" He mocked himself. "You're making me laugh, Li Jing," he added.

Li Jing stiffened, she was not used to it. His highness the crowned prince is calling her by her name. "Your highness, p-please don't t-think that w-way." she stammered. 

Yi Lin chuckled again. He was detained here because of what he did. He let his cousin brother flee away. As the royal prince, righteous, his father said. He was thrown into the cell to repent. For him, those high status are not important anymore.

He was dragged into his father's plan, he was against it. He never called or thought of himself as the crowned prince.

"Your highness?" Li Jing once again called him out. "You have visitors," she said.

Yi Lin jumped from sitting and brushed the dust on his hems and sleeves. "Ehhh," he snorted. "I'm not in the mood right now," 

Li Jing gripped her clothes, "But, these people need your help, your highness," she insisted.

"Help?" Yi Lin glanced at her. "I don't have the power, I'm not a prince right now..I'm a prisoner~" he pouted his lips and acted sluggishly.

But before Li Jing could say another word. Footsteps echoed in the narrow dungeon hallways. Figures entered the cell as their shadows covered the flames from the torches. 

"Your highness, they are here," Li Jing stepped back and gestured for the visitors to approach Yi Lin who went back to his wooden bed, turning his head away.

"Not interested," Yi Lin replied.

"Yi Lin, stopped being childish," 

Hearing that familiar voice, Yi Lin widened his eyes and jumped from the bed. He blinked his eyes a few times after seeing the faces of his visitors. "Cousin brother!!!" he exclaimed.
