Yi Lin, who was the one clinging to Xianyu just a minute ago, fell down. His butt hit the hard floor that caused him to whine. He stamped his legs on the floor and cried, "Cousin brother, you are so mean! How could you push me just like that!!" he snorted.

Hawk hurriedly rushed towards the second prince to help him stand. He wiped the prince's long sky blue robe and fixed his hair.

Meanwhile, in the corner, beside Rouhan, Sun Wei was trying to suppress his laughter. Qi Zhou nagged his sides to warn him. 

After throwing his tantrums and stuff, Yi Lin crossed his arms and ordered Hawk to guard outside the door. After hearing the plan of his father, the emperor, together with the general commander, he quickly made a move. 

Of course, he will never sit still again, just like before. Yi Lin selected this secluded place for them to stay and hide. It was far away from the Bai Kingdom, however, no one should be so sure of its safety. Because the Bai Kingdom has thousands of thousands of soldiers. 

"Okay,now listen everyone," Yi Lin clapped his hands three times to get everyone's attention. 

Everybody looked at Yi Lin and bowed their heads. Willing to listen to their prince. Yi Lin cleared his throat, 'I don't know what is the right time to tell you this, but my father, the emperor is planning something,." he stated.

Hearing this, Yuan parted a little from Xianyu and reached for his hands instead. Although surprised by the sudden hold, Xianyu let him be.

The sight in front of Yi Lin made him irritated, "Cousin brother, you are so clingy to my dear Xianyu, I know I'm more handsome than you, but can you please stop acting so clingy to him just this once," he snorted, remembering the way Yuan pushed him from the bed.

A light giggle escaped Sun Wei's lips, which was quickly noticed by Yi Lin. "No laughing." he snorted again.

Sun Wei straightened his posture and apologized, hiding his smile.

"As I was saying, the emperor is planning something," Yi Lin crossed his arms. "I told him to stop mending with my business and with my people and yet he kept on pushing himself into me," he slapped his forehead. "I hate a troublesome father!." he pouted.

Rouhan raised his right arm. "Your highness, would you mind telling us what exactly this plan is all about?" he asked.

Yi Lin cleared his throat, "First of all, its my pleasure to meet such a highly cultivator from a noble family, I am very much happy that Master Rouhan is on our side," He bowed his head, showing respect.

Rouhan also do the same, "It was also my honor to help his highness, the crowned prince,"

"I am going to say this now, since I don't want you all to expect anything, but next month is already a full moon, it means that my father is preparing for his insane ritual." Yi Lin, who was jolly a while ago, turned stern. "He's planning to kill you all,"

Astounded, everyone almost dropped their jaws half opened, except Yuan. He knows the ritual more than anyone else.

"Let me tell you a story" With that, Yi Lin started.

The Bai Kingdom was not only known for being a wealthy and prosperous kingdom. It was also known for being the place of treasures and curses. Once upon a time, ancient people believed that if there was a red orb hidden underwater, it is said that it can give you the power to let the whole world submit to you.

Not only the red orb, but there was also this mysterious powerful book. It is said that no one in the whole world could touch or even open this book. It was hidden in the cave of the dark abyss underground. Some old man said that it was way more powerful than the red orb. The book had the power to bring you to the past and future. It is said that in exchange, you will need to sacrifice a soul to fulfill your wishes. 

There are more regrets than success. People full of greed will automatically choose to go back to their past to fix their future. Humans are voracious and selfish, they are willing to give and sacrifice everything just for themselves.

"But how can your father do the ritual without the book, your highness?" 

Yi Lin lowered his head to meet Qi Zhou's eyes. "You can do that if the first soul sacrifice inside the book approach you first,"

Xianyu was taken aback, there was something inside his chest that jolted in his system. Like the words are connected to him. "What do you mean the first soul sacrifice?" he asked.

Again, Yi Lin continued to explain, "Since the curse residing inside the book couldn't eat a single soul for a hundreds of years because of the people's fear of it, the curse itself are showing up in different timelines to capture a soul, however, that soul will remained trap inside the book until it was fully consumed," 

"So it means that your father, the emperor, was approached by the first soul sacrifice? But why?" Sun Wei, who couldn't believe what he heard, halted forward. "Is he going to sacrifice us all?!" he exclaimed.

Yi Lin shakes his head, "Not really, because the real sacrifice here was my cousin brother, Bai Yuan," he replied.

"No!" Xianyu jumped out of the bed, and because he was still dizzy, he stumbled down. His knees hitted the hard floor which made Yi Lin startled. 

Yuan got out of the bed and supported Xianyu to stand up.

The prince also reached his hands, "Xianyu please calm down, of course we will never let that happen," He assured to comfort the male.

'Why is this happening? I should be the one getting my soul back, then why does it have to be Yuan? Is it because he was the demon prince? Is it because of his red eyes and power? Is the mysterious man showing in my illusions connected to this? I need to know! I needed to know!' 

Xianyu had a lot of questions running inside his mind right now as he glanced at Rouhan who was also thinking hard. 

'Did the emperor really target Yuan or did he have other motives?'
