Chapter 348 - World 11.5

"Good morning, son!"

Shi Ying greeted her son with a smile the moment she saw his shadows striding down the stairs.

Yang, who was busy rubbing his eyes with a towel on his shoulders, looked at his mom. "M-Morning," he greeted back. Going straight to the bathroom to take his morning wash.

He locked the door and faced the mirror, scanning his being.

After months of staying in the Hospital, he was now in a good condition to be called as an office worker. Yes, he was accepted by the publishing company his mother recommended.

Yang glanced at his own reflection. His light brown wavy hair covering half of his hazel brown eyes. Long flickering lashes while blinking.

Thin cherry plum lips, stretched in a morning yawn. "I miss you," Yang mumbled to himself.

After washing his face and gargling, he proceeded outside to join his mother with breakfast.

"Here's your favorite," Shi Ying smiled as she pushed a plate of pancakes towards Yang. She poured his glass of milk from the pitcher, "Your doctor also said that you need milk," she added.

Yang watched the white liquid twirled inside the glass. He finds it a bit uncomfortable since he really wants coffee rather than milk.

His mother read his thoughts, "No caffeine, remember?" She said, taking the seat across from the male.

Yang pouted silently and ate his breakfast. Suddenly, the phone beside his plate vibrated. It was a morning call.

"Good morning, this is YH publishing company, we will be there in less than 10 minutes, please be prepared because we will not wait for you, thank you" then the voice on the other line dropped the call.

Yang's mouth formed a small 'o'.

"Ah! It must be them!" Shi Ying broke his curiosity. "That's the company who accepted your application, they said that since you came from the hospital, they would like to fetch you to make sure you are okay" she said.

Yang sprang up, almost slamming his hands on the table. "Why didn't you tell me yesterday?! Geez! I only have 10 minutes," with all his might, he shoved the remaining pancake in his mouth then he drank half of the milk.

He dashed upstairs. Gripping the handles to support himself up. He quickly opened his cabinet and searched for his white under polo and black suit. He quickly put it on and checked himself in the mirror. He took his suitcase beside the bed, opened and checked its stuff.

A sigh of relief escaped his lips when he found out everything in it. He swung the door and pulled out his newly delivered company I.D yesterday. He faced the mirror and hung it around his neck as he fixed his collar.

He picked up his phone from the bed and was about to throw it when a car honked three times in front of their house. "Crap! They're here!" He cursed out.

He heard his mom call his name downstairs so he put on his black shoes and hurriedly went down the stairs.

"Take this with you," Shi Ying grabbed her son's wrist to reach for his medicines. "Please don't forget to take it," she reminded him before finally exiting the door.

Yang dashed to their gate and gasped for air. After closing the iron fence designed with curves. He saw a black car in front. Very expensive.

He bowed his head, "Good morning! I am Chen Yang," he said.

No one answered him though, or even greeted him back. The driver's seat opened and spit out a bodyguard. He just glanced at Yang and walked in the passenger's seat to open the door. He gestured to Yang to come inside so the male quickly followed him.

The first thing Yang noticed was the sweet scent of the car. It must be vacuumed and clean everyday. The car looks so extravagant and exclusively only for the company.

Meanwhile, Tien Xu, the personal secretary of the company CEO was still frowning beside the driver while glancing secretly at male at the passenger seat.

He couldn't understand why all of the people in the company, he was the one who was ordered to fetch this new employee. 'He looks so ordinary so why does the company director take a liking to him to push him up at recommendations?' He contemplated inside his thoughts.

Tien Xu cleared his throat, he made it loud enough so that the male behind would notice him. "What's your name?" He made his voice a little deep.

Yang pointed to himself, "Are you talking to me, sir?" He asked.

It made Tien Xu's brows meet between his nose. "What the heck are you even saying?! Of course I am talking to you!" He blurted out, glaring out.

Yang jolted from his seat, he didn't want to cause trouble for his very first day. "I'm sorry, sir! I apologize! I wasn't paying attention!" He quickly replied.

"Tch!" Tien Xu clicked his tongue and crossed his arms. "Hey kiddo! Don't think about getting up in the ladder just because you came from the director's recommendation, everyone in the company worked more than their asses out just to achieve something, you better prepared yourself for the worst of the worst," he warned.

Yang listened to him attentively like he was taking notes inside his mind. He vigorously nodded back. "Yes, sir! Yes, sir! I will remember that!" He answered.

Their car stopped when the red light flickered. This time, the driver, who seemed to be the bodyguard earlier, spoke."Don't scare him too much, he just got out of the hospital, take it easy secretary Tien Xu, if anything happened to the kid while we are on our way, we are both dead," he turned the wheel when the green light appeared.

The secretary on his side frowned. "I know, I will not kill him or something, you are over acting," he mumbled.

"I'm just letting you know, don't act too high to someone new, you will never know what he's capable of,"

Ding! The elevator opened.

The busy but quiet hallway welcomed Yang. He observed everyone while walking behind secretary Tien Xu and the bodyguard who drove them here. They didn't even let him wait at the lobby, they proceeded straight to the main office of the CEO, which is worrying him. 'Is this really okay for me to formally meet the CEO without any other interviews?' he thought.

Two wooden doors opened widely. It stunned Yang when the familiar scent once again invaded his nostrils. The one in the car and in here are the same.

"We are here in the CEO's Office, he was not around for the meantime because he had an afterlucnh meeting," Tien Xu continued to explain everything to him. The way you should behave while inside the office and the do's and don'ts.

"Are you really listening to me? You just keep on nodding your head, I don't want to be a disappointment to the CEO," Tien Xu crossed his arms in front of the newbie. Yang gave him a heads up, "Don't worry, Sir...I'm a fast learner," he assured.

A grin stretched the secretary's lips. "Since you said that you are a fast learner, then I will leave you here right now, the boss said that we should all leave you here alone for him to wait. We will never interrupt your interview so," Tien Xu picked up his light brown coat on the hanging rack. "Goodluck, Mr. Chen…" approaching the door.

The THUD sound from the closing door made Yang's heart also ponder. He wasn't nervous a while ago, but now he was feeling it. Even though the office was in full condition, he can still feel the coldness from his hands.

This is the real deal, the real interview. Straight with his CEO boss. It's not that he wasn't confident in his answers, it's just that he was nervous and it's his first time after the coma of 5 years. 'Will I be okay?' he mumbled to himself.

He sighed and brushed his own face, he lightly slapped his cheeks. "What are you even doing, Chen Yang? You've gone too far, you can do this," he cheered up.

Since he was all alone in the office except the two guards behind the door. He roamed his eyes and observed his surroundings. He was amazed by how the desk was carefully and neatly arranged. Even the books on the shelves were in alphabetical orders. The glass walls are so shiny and transparent that you couldn't almost feel it.

It made his butt lift on the long couch he was sitting on. He got occupied by discovering the office. The first thing he approached was the desk, the crystal and gold  like name tag in front of the desk caught his attention. 'LI GUANG JIN'

"I guess when you left the cage open, the bird inside it will roam freely without its owner's consent, How fascinating,"

Yang jolted, shivers ran down on his spine. His hands grasped tighter since he was leaning too much on the desk to observe the nametag. He quickly straightened his back and turned around. "I-I'm s-sorry!! I didn't mean to t-touch a-anything!" he bowed his head.
