Chapter 373 - World 11.30

Yang flinched upon realizing that he got noticed by the man. Their eyes meet.

Guang Jin smiled again, his usual cunning smile. "I didn't know that you are also nosy," he said.

"I didn't mean to---"

"It doesn't matter," Guang Jin cut off his words. He walked past Yang and said, "Don't worry, I will not stay any longer, I already called my driver…"

Hearing that, Yang felt a needle pricked his chest. He didn't know if it was really true that the male escaped from his father's grip to ditch the business gatherings and stay with him, but he felt obligated. It's not really obligated, more like guilt.

"I'm sorry!"

Guang Jin paused, but didn't turn his back. He remained silent, so Yang continued. "I'm sorry for pushing you away… I didn't know that you would ditch your family business meeting just to be with me…" he lowered his head, fidgeting his fingers. "I-I-If you want...you can stay," he rubbed the back of his head, hiding his blushing face.

"Why are you apologizing? Are you really sure that I did it just for you?" He faced the male with a plain expression. "I can do whatever I want to do, Mr. Chen...Everything is not connected to you," he snorted a smile. "Don't worry, I don't need your pity. I will leave as soon as my driver reaches the front of your house," then he walked away.

Yang was left there, stunned. "Did I say something bad?" he whispered. All he really wanted was to give the man a little comfort. Guang Jin must be having a hard time with his family. He also heard accidentally that his father often embarrasses his sexuality in front of his business partners, which is wrong. Yang didn't want the other male to think that he was just being pitied. After knowing the man's situation, he understood a new side of him.

But it was too late. Guang Jin was almost leaving. Well, he can't force things the way he wanted. If the man mistook his comfort as a pity, then he will give him time and apologize afterwards. The CEO was already in a tight situation; he didn't want to bother him anymore.

After a couple of minutes, Guang Jin headed back to the living room. Right now, his expression wasn't that cold anymore. He bid his goodbye to Shi Ying, then he stopped in front of Yang, who was still frozen in his stance a while ago.

"Don't bother yourself, I'm going now, Mr. Chen...thank you," then he totally left.

Yang headed upstairs and dashed to his room window. He parted a little space between the curtains and watched the CEO outside take his ride until the car vanished from his sight. His gaze accidentally hit the coat hanging beside his door. Yang trailed the pathway in his room and approached the door. His fingers traced the simple designs of the coat. "I guess I won't burn you anymore," he mumbled.

"Where do you want to go, young master?" The middle-aged man glanced at his passenger from the rear mirror. He already saw it coming. Yesterday, after sending off Guang Jin to Yang's house, he got scolded by Li Ji Yao, Guang Jin's father. He was furious because his son didn't attend the business gathering again.

"The usual place," the male shot a quick glance to his driver before turning back his eyes on the busy road.

Guang Jin's driver nodded at him as he continued the ride going to the 'usual place'. Meanwhile, the CEO remained silent the whole time. His phone kept on ringing repeatedly. He didn't even pick up one call. Guang Jin knew who it was anyway. The only person who would call him several times is his father.

The car turned around and stopped. "We've arrived, young master," the driver said as he took off his seatbelt and dashed outside. He opened the door for Guang Jin. "I will stay for an hour. I will call you later," the man ordered him before walking away.

The bells hanging above the door clang when it opened. The music quickly reached his ears. Swaying lights accompanying the people enjoying their time. Guang Jin took a seat. The bartender, who was mixing a new set of drinks, beamed after seeing him.

"Mr. Li!!!" he exclaimed. "How have you been? You finally visited us again," he gladly said. "The usual?" he asked.

Guang Jin was not in the mood to talk, so he ignored the greetings and answered. "The usual, but make it hard this time…"

The bartender smiled again. "Right away!" then he got busy at the edge of the counter. He spun his head and observed the people around him, "I wonder if that idiot was also here," he murmured. Just right in time, the bartender was done mixing his drinks. He slightly heard the man's words, so he answered instead. "Boss was here a while ago, but he left quickly...he said that he still has some other business to attend.." he clasped his hands beside his mouth. "Enjoy your drinks,"

Again, the music deafened Guang Jin for the meantime as he sipped his favorite drinks. He was at the bar and the 'idiot' he was talking about was Ren Jiang. The male owned this bar, that's why the staffs knew him.

He almost slammed the glass on the table when the words he said to Yang suddenly came back to his thoughts. It was too early to drink and yet he was doing it. He got so occupied by the stress that he couldn't even control himself earlier.

He didn't mean to offend Yang. He just doesn't want the male to pity him because of his situation. Guang Jin wanted genuine affection. He didn't like the idea of getting married because of business; he didn't want to be like his father in the future. Because his parents were victims of forced and arranged marriage. His father loved his mother so much, but his mother hated his father, though she loved Guang Jin, until the day she got into an accident and left them.

He was just 12 years old when that happened. After losing his mother, his father turned out to be like that. He became aggressive and started to point out his mistakes by beating him badly. He endured it until now.

Guang Jin ceased his forehead and gulped the alcohol in front of him in one go. 'This is not the right time to think that'
