Transmigrated Into The Book

The sun rises early and just like a perfect employee, Yang also went to work early. Though his cheeks are a little swollen from Xu Shein's slap yesterday. While taking the elevator, his mind was full of thoughts. Like when Ren Jiang asked him to go home, "I wonder what happened to them," he whispered.

When Yang reached the office, he quickly went to his desk. And as expected, there are now folders piled up beside his laptop. He scanned the office and saw 5 off his acquaintance. He really came too early. 

"Mr. Chen, good morning" Secretary Tien Xu emerged from behind. "It's so good to see you early in the morning" he commented as he put a coffee on Yang's desk. 

Surprised, Yang smiled and accepted the coffee as he uttered. "Thank you," then he watched the secretary leave. Since he wanted to make sure, he pressed the hanging pen and then a transparent book popped up in front of him. It has no problems, since he was the only one who can see that.

According to the book, Secretary Tien Xu is now going to collect his things and resign. The reason? Guang Jin's father. Ji Yao knows that Secretary Tien Xu is the one his son trusts. What happened yesterday reached him so he immediately fired the secretary to serve as punishment for Guang Jin. Yang wasn't surprised to see the male treating him nicely for the last day.

And since Guang Jin is now going to lose his secretary, it was his time to butt in. In order to gain the 25 points, he needed to gain the CEO's trust. This is the perfect opportunity for him to push himself on the position. 

Yang pondered for a second. How would he do that if he and Guang Jin had a misunderstanding? He released a sigh as he opened the folder on the very top of the piled up documents. He checked it thoroughly and continued to do the editing of the pages. 

'I guess I will just try to talk to him later after submitting these reports' he thought.

Before lunch time, Yang finished the first batch and as usual he went to the printer to pick up the hard copies. He was surprised when he saw that the inks were already replaced. Ren Jiang and Xu Shein again crossed his mind.He still hasn't moved on from what happened yesterday and now Guang Jin was also inside his mind.

Yang grabbed his hair in dismay. Just thinking of working as the CEO's secretary is enough for him to have headaches. He will be with Guang Jin every minute and every hour and then they are pretending to be dating. He didn't know where to turn his gaze. 

"Mr. Chen, are you done with your reports?" 

Yang flinched backwards. "Y-Yes!!!" he exclaimed in surprise. 

The male in front of him adjusted his glasses. "What is wrong with you today?" Secretary Tien Xu asked. He put a white folder beside Yang's files. "Can you please give this to the CEO? Since you are going to his office after this, it will not be a bothersome to also give this to him" 

Yang can see the sadness from the other male. He must love his job so much that he almost couldn't leave Guang Jin's side. Tien Xu was middle aged, he was like the CEO's brother all these years. Yang picked up the white folder and nodded his head, "I will give it to him"

Before Tien Xu left his side, he gripped Yang's arms. "I will leave him in your care, Yang" he whispered then he walked away. The atmosphere turned quickly gloomy upon hearing his own name. He wanted to stop Tien Xu and apologize. He knew that he was involved in this matter by pretending to be the fake lover. 

Yang then went first to Ren Jiang's office to submit a copy of his report. He knocked on the door and entered when he got the permission. Just like the normal Mondays, he saw the man sitting on his swivel chair with a laptop in front of him. There are piled up folders beside his desk and a warm coffee on the right.

"Good morning, Yang" Ren Jiang greeted him. 

Yang bowed, "Good morning, manager...I will submit the copies of my reports." Then he approached the man andr reached out the folders to him. 

Ren Jiang took it and checked. "How's your face?" He asked,with still his eyes on the documents.

Yang panicked a little. "I'm fine! It's just a small scratc---" he was stunned when Ren Jiang leaned closer and cupped his cheeks. "Let me see…" the man said.

He winced when the edge of Ren Jiang's thumb accidentally touched the bruise on his cheeks. Though he put a bandaid on it, it was still a little sore. He met the man's eyes that was busy scanning the side of his cheeks. 

"I didn't allow anyone to flirt in my company."

Yang hurriedly pushed Ren Jiang away after hearing the familiar voice. They both looked at the door and saw Guang Jin, leaning on the wall with his crossed arms. He's wearing his usual black suit with a white polo under, buttons are untucked with a tie in the middle. 

"It's not what you th---" Yang was struck. His eyes gaze upon the man. Seeing some bandaids from Guang Jin's neck up to his face. He was surely  beaten up by someone. Yang felt something inside him that irked towards Guang Jin. He grabbed the man's arms and glared at him. "What happened to your face?!" he exclaimed unconsciously.

Guang Jin was left speechless, startled. He blinked his eyes a few times before coming back to realization. He looked Yang in the eyes and saw his pitiful gaze. He felt his chest tightened. That's what he doesn't want to see the most, pitiful eyes. 

The CEO pulled himself away from Yang and walked out of the room with an expressionless face.
