Transmigrated Into The Book

"What face am I going to use now?! You bastard!!" 

A punch landed on his cheeks. He winced his eyes when he felt the blood dripping from his lips. He wanted to wipe it, but his hands were restrained by two men holding him side by side. After a minute, a kick landed on his stomach again. He coughed and groaned. 

"How dare you oppose me?! You bastard!" Li Ji Yao snarled at his son. 

After hearing the withdrawal of Xu Shein's father from their company, he immediately dragged Guang Jin and disciplined him. He was so angry that it distorted his face all day. He was always protecting his son's face, but since this was unforgivable, he would break him in the way he wanted. 

Guang Jin endured all until his father finished releasing his anger on him. One of his servants cleaned and put a bandaid on his face and cheeks. The bruises on his neck remained unwrapped. He went to the company just like usual. Wearing his arrogant look and blunt expression face.

His employee greeted him just like before, but he knew that the rumours about the separation of the two investors were already spreading before he reached the office. He took the elevator, noticing the secret gazes to him.

He slumped his butt on the swivel chair. He just received Secretary Tien Xu's resignation letter. Guang Jin trusted his secretary very much that he can't live without him assisting his needs. He wanted to fight for the male's job, but his father threatened him that he would drag Tien Xu down with him if he didn't let go of his job as his son's secretary.

Guang Jin stared at the letter for a while before finally standing up. He crumpled the resignation letter and threw it in the trash can. He can't do anything anyway. Instead of releasing his anger, he exited the office and went straight to his employee's quarters. 

The CEO suddenly got the urge to see the man he was with yesterday. It was his fault for assuming such a thing. The truth is, he also wanted to apologize for his attitude. He didn't want to put a wall between him and Yang.

Guang Jin took a peek and saw no one from Yang's cubicle. He tilted his head. 'Where is he?' He was sure that he saw the male's attendance earlier. He was here. One of his employee seen through him so he bowed, "Are you looking for Mr. Chen, Mr. Li?" 

Guang Jin nodded unconsciously and got the answer, "He went to Manager Ren Jiang's office earlier to submit a copy of his reports," the employee beside him answered. 

The CEO didn't hesitate to trail the way to his friend's office. Since he was the CEO and he got the authority, he opened the door wide. 

After witnessing two figures leaning on each other with their close faces, Guang Jin's expression turned gloomy that his brows almost twitched. "I didn't allow anyone to flirt in my company," 

His words made Yang push the other male away from him and looked at him instead. "Ehh?! It's not what you thi--" Yang was stunned upon seeing Guang Jin's face full of bandaids. He trudged towards the CEO and cupped the man's face. "What happened to your face?!" he blurted out.

That action surprised Guang Jin. He's not expecting that kind of gesture from the male. Then he saw Yang's pitiful eyes looking up at him. He remembered that Yang overheard his call yesterday. He once again saw the male's sympathy towards its words and withdrew. 

Guang Jin walked from the office.

"What the heck is wrong with him?!" 

Yang gulped the soda in one go and crumpled it out of annoyance. He wiped the sides of his lips and glared at the empty garden of the company. "I just want to ask him what happened!" he snorted.

Then, instead of staying angry, his eyes turned down. After a minute, he was now showing a worried expression. Guang Jin must have been beaten by his father this morning before he left for work. "Why are you carrying everything alone?" he whispered to himself.

It's true that he was involved in the CEO's problem because he was connected to him as his fake lover. According to his mission, he needed to gain Guang Jin's trust by replacing Tien Xu as his new secretary. But, how can he replace the male if he's still a newbie? He still had a lot of things to do before reaching the man's level.

Yang then realized that if Guang Jin wanted to surpass his father's ability, he needed help. Though he's not confident enough to give a hand. 

"Whatever!" Yang shakes his head and walks back into the company.

Upon reaching his desk, he saw the folders piled beside his computer. Since he and Ren Jiang got mistaken for doing intimate things earlier, he forgot to pass his reports.

Yang took a deep breath. "Okay, I can do this…" 

He was also guilty by eavesdropping yesterday. He also wanted to make up things with Guang Jin and talked to him about their 'special order. '

Yang halted the way towards the CEO's office. It surprised him when he saw the empty entrance. There are no guards watching for the door. 'His father must have taken his guards too,' he mumbled to himself.

Of course, he knocked three times and went inside after hearing the CEO's permission. He approached the desk and put the folders down. "I'm sorry for submitting my reports late," he said.

Guang Jin didn't answer, he just took the folders to check it. "Thank you, Mr. Chen," he replied.

Yang observed the man's face. The bandages on his cheeks meet his eyes again. He lowered his head and clenched his fist tight. "Mr. Li," he called out.

Guang Jin's not in the mood to talk about small things right now. His mind was still a bit occupied. He flipped the pages of the folders and adjusted his glasses. "What is it, Mr. Chen?" he asked out of tone.

BAM!!

Yang slammed his hand on the desk. The pen near the laptop bounced. "Mr.. Li! I want to become your new secretary!" he exclaimed.
