Transmigrated Into The Book

Yang slammed his hand on the desk. The pen near the laptop bounced. "Mr. Li! I want to become your new secretary!" he exclaimed. 

Guang Jin tightened his grip on the folders before laying it flat on the desk. A light chuckle escaped his lips. "What?" he asked. He raised one of his brows and lifted his chin. "What did you just said, Mr. Chen?" he repeated.

Yang got fired up. He bent closer to meet the man's gaze. "Whether you like it or not, I am already involved in this scandal," he stated. "I know that you are arrogant and bratty, but you can tell someone if you're tired...it's normal to ask for help from other people." He slammed his hands once again. "If you are tired, then you can call me! I will be there by your side to help you!" he exclaimed with the glint of determination on his pupils. 

Guang Jin froze. The last words buzzed inside his head, which made him speechless. His phoenix narrow eyes widened a little after watching the glint of determination from the male. He couldn't help but turn his gaze away, feeling his face hot. He contemplated whether it was because of the bruises or because his chest was acting weird. 

"What do you think, Mr. Li?!!" Yang looked at him again with his bright eyes.

The CEO snapped himself back, so he cleared his throat. "I will think about it," his line of sight went down to the laptop. "If you don't have anything to say, you can leave n---" 

"I'm sorry! Yesterday!" Yang again blurted out and cut his words. 

"Mr. Chen, can you please let me finish my sentences first before blurting out your thoughts? You're scaring me, geez!" Guang Jin rubbed his temples and closed his eyes for a couple of minutes.

Yang saw his gestures amusing, so he covered his lips and scoffed a chuckle. 

"Is there anything funny?" 

Yang went back to his plain expression, "Nothing," he bowed his head. "I will be going now," he walked away, finally leaving the office.

On his way back, he saw Tien Xu waiting for him on his desk. Yang tilted his head and showed a puzzled face. "Do you need something, Secretary Tien Xu?" he asked.

Tien Xu lowered his head and let out a heavy snort. "Don't call me that. I am not the secretary anymore," he uttered. 

The latter can feel how devastating his words are. It was like he was trying to overcome the needles pricking his chest. Serving Guang Jin must be a very unforgettable job for him. Though he can clearly tell that the CEO is arrogant, sometimes, he also notices Guang Jin's small moves by simply showing his care to his employees.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Tien Xu...I couldn't do anything," Yang apologized. Clenching his palm into a ball while recalling that he's the reason why their worlds all turned upside down. He felt the guilt once again lingering inside him. 'I wanted to do something too' 

Tien Xu stood up from the chair and tapped Yang's shoulders. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" 

Seeing that he was being invited by the man who's always ignoring and doubting him at first made him bright like a dog wagging his tail. "Of course!" Yang exclaimed.

The cold air dancing around the office rooftop welcomed them as they opened the door. There was a smoking area and shed for the employees who wanted to relax their minds for a bit. The two occupied the long bench under the cement roof that was built as a protection from the rain.

Since it was his first time talking alone with Tien Xu, Yang brought a can of soda for them. He reached the other one to the male, which was quickly received. "Thanks," Tien Xu said. 

Then the ex-secretary remained silent for a while before finally opening his lips. "I'm sorry," he stated.

Yang flinched. "Sorry for what?" he responded.

Tien Xu didn't look at him. His eyes roamed at the wide place in front of them. At the ledge of the rooftop where he can see the clouds very white. "I'm sorry for doubting you. At first, I thought that you were just a cocky brat with no skills…" he let out a snort.

Yang felt the arrow of embarrassment straight to his chest.

Tien Xu continued, "But after giving you a task and observing you, I was quite amazed...you are indeed a fast learner, I even got surprised after finding out that you mixed the CEO's coffee very well.." he shot a glance at Yang. "I can now leave Mr. Li Guang Jin in your care," he said.

Although dumbfounded, Yang felt the sadness at the other male's words. It made him bite his lower lip and lowered his head. "You've done a really great job, Mr. Tien Xu" he patted back the male..

"Mr. Chen Yang…" Tien Xu didn't let go of Yang's shoulders. He grasped it tight. "I have a favor I want to ask you," 

"What is it, Mr. Tien Xu?" the other male asked between nervousness and curiosity.

"Mr. Guang Jin had a strict and abusive father. He would do everything to let his son experience downfall if he was opposed...The CEO was a sturdy kid, even if sometimes he's bratty. I can see that he loved his work very much," Tien Xu placed another hand on Yang's shoulders and eyed him. "I know this is quite impossible, but I have my trust in you…"

Yang then felt a little light after hearing the male. If this favor will help him lessen his guilt, he will accept and do it with no hesitations. "Just say it, Mr. Tien Xu...I will help you in the way I can," he replied.

He was excited and nervous at the same time. Since he's feeling that this favor will not be that simple. He still needed to persist Guang Jin to make him his new secretary.

"Mr.. Chen Yang, please be the CEO's new secretary," Tien Xu said.
