Chapter 396 - S2 World 11.52
Yang jolted from his seat when the phone beside his computer rang very loud. He quickly took the call. "Y-Yes! Hello?"
The man on the other line chuckled. "Are you in the middle of something? I want to disturb you, Secretary Chen," It was Guang Jin's voice. Deep and a little husky.
Yang looked at the other side of this thin glass wall separating his office from the CEO.. He saw Guang Jin smiling, "What is it, Mr. Li?" he asked.
Guang Jin looked away, "Can you make a coffee for me?" he asked. "Please bring it to my desk, thank you" then he hung up. He put another phone there on purpose. Instead of making Yang stand up from his desk, the CEO put a phone connected to his office so that Yang would not be tired of standing and sitting back.
Speaking of his coffee, Yang stood up and headed to the small kitchen. He first boiled some water in the electric kettle. Then he opened the cabinet and took the CEO's favorite cup. Just like what he's always doing, he brewed the coffee first before adding sugar. When the boiled water was done, he picked up the kettle and poured some into the cup.
He remembered the first time he and Guang Jin met. It was when the CEO asked him to make coffee. He's not expecting to be praised just because he got the perfect way to brew the coffee. That time, he only described Guang Jin as an arrogant, cold and flirtatious man, but later on, after spending time with him and getting some information about his personal life, his hate subsided.
"Argh!"
Yang snapped back from his deep thoughts upon feeling the hot water on his hands. He quickly let go and blew his hands. It was so hot that it turned swollen. Since he needed some ice, he first delivered the coffee to the CEO's desk.
"This is your coffee, Mr. Li" Yang bowed his head and did his best to hide the swollen part of his hands. Guang Jin was quick, he grabbed Yang's wrist. "What happened to your hand?" he said with an indifferent tone.
Yang tried to pull away but the man didn't want to let go. "I accidentally poured some hot water in my hand without ---" He paused. 'Why am I even explaining?'
Guang Jin looked at him, "Without what?". He clicked his tongue, "I told you to be careful everytime, Mr. Chen" he said with a little bit of disappointment in his tone.
It made Yang feel a little uncomfortable, so he used a small force to pull his hands away. "It doesn't matter!" he replied. "This is my hand, you don't have anything to do with it.." he said, not even realizing that his eyes are now sharp.
It startled Guang Jin. "Why are you so angry? Did I do something wrong?" he asked.
Yang stiffened and glared at him. "YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG SO DON'T APOLOGIZE," he clenched his fist, suddenly recalling the small paper from the CEO. "And if you really want to apologize, do it in person! Don;t just write it down on a piece of paper! What are you? A kid?!"
Guang Jin unconsciously stood up and pushed his swivel chair. His steps turned big as he approached Yang. "Mr. Chen.." his gentle voice once recounded into the male's ears. "Are you talking about what happened last night?"
Yang immediately hugged himself, hands clasped on his chest. He took two steps back and lowered his head. "N-No..I-I'm not t-talking about it," he mumbled.
"Then, what do you want me to do?" Guang Jin also stepped forward. In case Yang collapses again from anxiety, he can support him. "Do you want me to kneel down in front of you?" he asked.
Of course, hearing these words from his CEO made Yang's heart beat faster than the racing horse. He can feel every throb. But those throbs are not giving him butterflies, it's painful. He wanted to laugh at himself because he's so bothered by what happened last night while it's just nothing to the CEO.
"I'm an idiot," he whispered.
Guang Jin heard those small words so he reached out and was about to hold Yang when he remembered that the male didn't want to be touched. He pulled back his arms, "You're not an idiot, I'm the idiot here…"
Yang raised his head from the floor and met Guang Jin's eyes. "I don't want to pretend anymore," he said. He gasped and bit his lower lip. He suddenly wanted to cry. But he knows that he shouldn't. He can't do what he has already done to the previous worlds. This is his real world and his real feelings.
Guang Jin hushed. "Okay, okay… I will not push you to pretend to be my fake lover anymore, if that can help you to calm down." he said, worried. Well, everything will end anyway, so make it early.
But Guang Jin wasn't expecting himself to feel this. He's the one who suggested this plan, but why does he feel like he will become alone again in the dark? This is the business world, it's only natural to feel satisfaction after ending everything that goes in the plan so perfectly. He closed his fist and gritted his teeth. There's something inside him surging up of wanting to hold Yang more.
Since Yang got the answer, he didn't bother to voice out what he was feeling anymore. It's only business. He made a deal with a business man so it's his fault if he thought something. He stopped himself and turned around.
"Yang!" warm hands enveloped him from behind. He felt those heavy breaths on his neck. Yang was stiffened when Guang Jin squeezed him more. While in the middle of his daze, Guang Jin leaned his head on the male's shoulders and whispered, "I don't care about the contract anymore...stay with me,"
