Chapter 409 - S2 World 12.4
The sun shone brightly outside the old castle where Chase was living with his whole life. He still can't believe that he was now leaving everything. He observed himself once again in the mirror. He woke up early just for this. According to the letter, the Emperor wanted Chase to permanently live in the palace. Even if he wanted to ignore that, he still can't deny that he had this royal blood running through his veins.
Of course, Chase is not the only one dressed today. They also prepared something for Dion. Dion is his guardian. Whenever Chase goes, he will follow.
Three knocks resounded behind the door, invading his personal time. "Your Highness, the carriage is already here," one of the maids said.
Chase looked at himself in the mirror for the last time. Wearing a white and blue royal suit with a red cloak on his shoulders. It swayed in the air as he exited the room.
The servants and butlers who stayed with him for a couple of days, lined up side by side. Bowing their heads while greeting him. He ate breakfast real quick and waited for Ian to escort him into the carriage.
As Chase stepped outside, he paused and observed the old castle. He's finally going to leave this place that brought him nightmares and different memories. He was now going to live as the prince of the Alrein Empire.
Ian opened the carriage door. "Your Highness, please go inside." He pointed his arms towards the carriage.
Chase leaned one of his hands on the door and whistled. Then a white silhouette slowly approached him. It was Dion with an apple in his mouth. He rested on Chase's arms as they both rode the carriage.
Ian went inside with them. He sat across from Chase. "We are now going, Your Highness" then with his command, the carriage started to joggled and went on its way to the Palace.
The knight didn't say a word, he just observed Chase while rubbing his small dragon resting on his lap. Once in a while, Chase would smile and frown from the view outside the window. At first, he got scared, thinking that maybe his Young Lord had some motion sickness, but after getting all Chase's emotions, he felt assured. It was indeed the first time for the Young Lord to go outside and far away from the abandoned castle he used to live in.
He somehow finds honor in it. The first person who accompanied the Prince outside. A smile stretches Ian's cheeks that Chase also wandered looking at him.
"Why are you smiling so suddenly?" Chase asked. With Dion, both of them showed a confused expression.
"P-Pardon my rudeness, Your Highness," Ian straightened his posture and fixed his face. "I am just glad to see His Highness happy," he stated.
Chase blushed. "M-Me? Happy?"
The knight nodded twice. "Yes, Your Highness...I mean, you look lovable wearing that smile" he turned his head after feeling the embarrassment from his words. He really said it out loud that even Chase turned shy and speechless with a hot face.

After a long ride, they finally reached the palace. But since the place they came from is very secluded and far, they arrived at night.
Everyone welcomed Chase with respect. They even laid a red carpet for him as he trailed the wide and big palace. The big door opened in front of him and the first thing he saw was the elegant and expensive designs all over the place.
Everything was glowing in golden. The ledges of the stairs and the side of the window. The big and round post and even the designs of the ceiling. The bright chandeliers were almost made of gold.
Chase couldn't help but be amazed. No words come out of his mouth while they're trailing the elegant and white hallways with golden sparkles.
At the end of the hallways, beside the stairs, a tall man wearing a black butler's suit welcomed them. "Welcome home, Your Imperial Highness, may the God of Alrein bless you," he said with sincerity, showing his respect.
Chase nodded his head and looked at Ian, who was walking beside him. The knight stepped forward and cleared his throat. "Your Imperial Highness, this is Sir Alfred, the Palace's butler. He's assigned everything that's concerning the Palace," Ian stated.
Chase agreed with him and bowed his head. "It's my honor to meet you, Sir Alfred,"
His gesture surprised the two. Alfred immediately lifted the Prince's shoulders. "Your Imperial Highness, please don't bow down on me, for I am just a butler of this royalty." he said with a worried expression.
Dumbfounded, Chase mumbled. "B-But I am glad to meet you, Sir Alfred. I am just showing my respect,"
From his words, Alfred felt respected. A royal blood bowing on him was enough to make him swear in front of Chase. "I know that you're glad, but Your Imperial Highness, please don't do that again…" he sighed. "Especially in front of the Emperor."
Chase saw how distorted the butler was just by mentioning the name of the Emperor. He leaned closer to Ian and gave him a 'what he meant by that?'
Ian also bent down and whispered something to Chase's ears. "Your Imperial Highness, the Emperor didn't like it if you did it in front of him. He might cut Sir Alfred's head,"
Chase flinched and gulped. 'Cut his head?' he thought. Just by hearing this small information from Ian made him feel the shivers. "Very well, I will not do it again," He only tapped his chest to show his sincerity.
Sir Alfred cleared his throat. "I would like to apologize, but the Emperor wasn't in good condition right now and needed rest. Your Imperial Highness and Sir Ian, please follow me. I will guide you to your room." He stretched his arms and pointed them in a certain direction.
Chase still wanted to ask, but he already felt his body getting tired. He didn't protest anymore. He will just do it tomorrow. Chase still had a lot of things to prepare before meeting the Emperor.. It was one of his missions to agree to his proposal.
