Morning.

Butler Lin softly knocked on the door outside. Ruan Yan tended to sleep lightly, and upon hearing the sound, he dazedly opened his eyes, got out of bed, and opened the door for Butler Lin.

Butler Lin was holding some first-rate fruit and smiling slightly, he stood at the entrance to the room. “Morning Young Master.”

Ruan Yan’s voice was slightly soft. Compared to his normal chilly voice, the softness added an additional trace of being easy to bully, “Morning Uncle Lin.”

He had just woken up and wasn’t very clear headed. After giving out his greeting, he went to go wash up.

Uncle Lin put the fruits on the table and pulled the curtains open before going out.

After washing up, Ruan Yan began to worry about what to wear.

He didn’t know how to match female clothing, so all the clothes he bought for Ran Yan came ready matched.

Ruan Yan didn’t actually care about what female attire he wore, but girls really were strange creatures. If he went a couple days wearing the same colour-themed clothing, then Fang Yuan Yuan would think that he didn’t have enough variety in his wardrobe, forcibly dragging him out to go shopping. Or she would think that his sense of aesthetics wasn’t up to standard, and would make him look at some fashion magazines with her to heighten his sense of aesthetics.

It was fine if it was just Fang Yuan Yuan this one person who said so, but by the end of it, all 7 or 8 girls would huddle around him, all trying to get their say in about how Yan Yan was so beautiful, and that she definitely couldn’t waste this foundation.

After being scammed twice, Ruan Yan would pick his clothes more carefully everyday.

There was a bit of hesitation in his eyes. He’d worn pink and green a couple days ago… they were all fairly light colours, so how about… wearing a darker shade of red today?

Ruan Yan took out a long red dress and the accompanying accessories and shoes accordingly with a slight bit of nervousness. Putting them in his bag, he carelessly took out a male outfit and changed into it.

Ruan Yan didn’t dare to wear his female outfit out the house. If Uncle Lin were to see it, then he would probably flip the heavens and earth with his racquet.

When he got to Qin Lin High, taking advantage of the fact that it was still early and there were barely any students around, Ruan Yan went to the male change rooms and changed into Ran Yan’s female outfit in a flash.

It was Summer now. Although it still wasn’t that hot in the morning, but Ruan Yan changed so quickly and anxiously that he was still tired to the point of panting.

A faint line of sweat beaded his forehead, the clear, cold peach blossom eyes suffused with moist steam (1). He quickly went out of the male change rooms, the flame red dress edge rippling and drawing out a wave like arc.

Astonishment flashed through Chu Nan’s eyes. Straight after, his gaze turned complicated, “Yan Yan, why are you here?”

He quickly walked over. Ruan Yan was given a huge scare the moment he saw Chu Nan.

Why was Chu Nan here so early?

How was he going to explain why he came out from the male change rooms so early in the morning?

Chu Nan had already walked over. He looked at Ruan Yan with a deep gaze, “…Yan Yan, why are you here?”

Ruan Yan panicked. Chu Nan wasn’t stupid- in fact, as the male lead of the original novel, his observation and association skills were top notch.

He saw that Ruan Yan was still wearing the same bag that he normally wore and said, “You’re dressed so beautifully today… Why are you still carrying this? What’s in the bag?”

Ruan Yan was even less stupid. He knew that Chu Nan had always been a straightforward person; apart from teasing him, he wouldn’t ask anything that was meaningless.

Now that he was asking this, it was obvious that he had subconsciously begun to suspect something.

Ruan Yan was ground by the rare hint of sharpness Chu Nan revealed in front of him. His mind turned at a rapid speed, before he decided to deal with Chu Nan using the method that worked best – selling his appearance.

Ruan Yan aggrievedly threw himself into Chu Nan’s embrace, rubbing against Chu Nan’s neck, “I was waiting for you in the classroom… You weren’t there the entire time so I missed you ma. That’s why I was searching everywhere for you.”

Chu Nan was a hot blooded youth and he was rubbed until a fire ignited, but he still kept a straight face, “Going into the male change rooms to look for me?”

Ruan Yan was angered by his calmness and felt aggrieved. “It’s not like you don’t know that I’m brave… Chu Nan… you’re being so fierce to me this early in the morning.”

Chu Nan’s head hurt. If it hadn’t been for the fact that he’d just happened to have something on this morning, what would happen if it had been some other guy who’d walked into the change rooms first?

Why wasn’t Yan Yan like other girls?

Chu Nan said, “Yan Yan, guys aren’t as upright as you think they are. In the future, don’t come to the male change rooms if I’m not here with you. Oh right, so what exactly is in your bag?”

“Pads.” Ruan Yan had already completely given up on saving his face. His heart trembled but his voice was calm.

He just didn’t believe that Chu Nan would still dare to keep on asking if he said pads.

He didn’t know how to react for a moment. But Ruan Yan was already suffering an inner breakdown for the loss of his own moral integrity and angrily shouted, “You just had to ask! Chu Nan was still dazed, “Ju Ping, what do you need to take note of during menstruation?”

“What?” Ju Ping was dumbfounded, “Brother Chu, you’ve reached menstruation?”

“Does it look like I have menstruation?” Chu Nan was angered, “Never mind, you won’t understand even if I ask you. Just go along with what we’ve discussed for that thing, keep a tight watch on everything and make sure that nothing gets out.”

Chu Nan returned to the classroom after they finished discussing.

His seat was in the row before Chu Nan’s. Now, his expressionlessness left Chu Nan with the image of an elegant, cold silhouette.

No thank you, he didn’t like it at all.

Ruan Yan’s hand was shaking, but he still swallowed an entire packet of the so called ‘Period Pain Treasure Granules’ with determination in a peaceful manner.

This was the worst tasting medicine he’d ever eaten.

He was just a man. Why did he have to transmigrate, why did he have to eat ‘Period Pain Treasure Granules’?!

Chu Nan anxiously watched him, “Yan Yan, how do you feel now?”

Ruan Yan peacefully sat on the chair. “Pa-da”, one drop, two drops, three drops of tears came rolling down.

Ruan Yan thought, why am I crying again? You had to pay up every time you came out to play- (5) he should’ve known earlier.

But he still felt overly aggrieved, sprawling on the table and sniffling, “Nothing’s wrong. The medicines too bitter, you go make me some sugar water.”

“Ok.” Chu Nan quickly went to go make sugar water.

He thought, Yan Yan was far too delicate. Such a cute little girl, yet she still had to be tortured by period pain.

Chu Nan, “Yan Yan, don’t worry, I’ll buy you this kind of medicine every month.”

Ruan Yan: …

His sobbing became even worse. Only until the two periods before afternoon class did he stop crying.

Going into the third week of being MIA, I owe you guys 3 chapters, I remember!! But luckily exams are over so that will hopefully free up some time for me to translate ahaha... From now on, I'll just release whenever I finish translating a chapter (not gonna try to stockpile anymore lol), and we'll see how that goes :)

Btw, Happy Halloween!! (Would be nice to have some extra releases to celebrate but oh well, who told me to be a salted fish hehe)
