Transmigration of Shams: The Legendary Cultivator
Chapter 71:Like My Own
Shams has completely revealed all his secrets to Master Wushu.
In order for their master to understand the behavior of Shams.
Though, their master was still in disbelief that the baby he saved was a reincarnation from another world.
He told Shams to never share to another soul regarding this information.
Because reincarnation from another world has never been heard nor written in any pages of the history of all realms.
Once he divulge this matter to anyone, it will not only risk himself but also those who are around him.
They spent the whole night discussing and talking about his previous life.
Master Wushu considered Shams like his own son already like his other disciples who were raised within his school.
[-In the Training Ground-]
All the disciples were gathered by Master Wushu.
It was a sunny day.
And the wind was breezing nicely.
Everyone was outside the four corners of the school ground.
"I gathered you all here today because from here forth. Your trainings and lessons will be more rigid and tough compared to your previous trainings and lessons." Master Wushu elaborated to his disciples.
Hearing their master announce what to expect in the following days, the {-Junior Ranked-} and {-Senior Ranked-} disciples were mostly excited.
Some were nervous because of their lack in self-esteem and confidence.
Amongst them was Rankuza.
Ever since the tournament, he realized the disparity in their talents, skills and over-all standing from one another. He considered himself as the weakest of them all.
Shams could sense the anxiety and sudden discouraged mood of Rankuza.
"If you constantly treat yourself weak and useless, then it may happen. Others can give up on you, but never give up on yourself! That will be the worst thing you will do!" Shams casually told Rankuza.
Since he was seated next to him.
Rankuza did not expect for Shams to give him some advice which made so much sense.
The others did not hear due to their attention focused on their master.
"Listen to the master and stop whispering to each other. It is not right to get distracted in the middle of his speech." Maya reprimanded the two discreetly.
But Rankuza took a glance on their youngest disciple.
On the other hand Hawks was all excited for all the training and lessons.
Hawks wanted to get stronger and improve his own techniques.
Eager to attain a title of champion to validate his own strength and power.
Mostly to earn validation from their master and his seniors.
Master Wushu reminded everyone to work hard and the value of their brotherhood.
To treat each other with compassion and not cruelty.
"The journey oneself to immortality and immense power must not take the route of darkness. Doing it on your own will never let you pass through a dark tunnel. Only with the light of compassion and brotherhood will allow you to gain the light which will make you survive any darkness." A serious advice from Master Wushu which made everyone ponder on its meaning.
Some were able to understand its meaning.
While some struggled.
Their master continued,
"Congratulations to our champions! Let's give them a rousing applause!"
Everyone clapped and complimented for the three champions of the tournament.
"Then give a deafening applause for everyone. Because an achievement of one is an achievement of all!"
Everyone became louder and rowdy.
'Wooooh!!!'
'We are the champions!!!'
'Undefeatables!!!'
Loud cheers and laughter reverberated around the training ground.
Master Wushu smiled at the sight of his disciples enjoying themselves.
Their master continued and became more serious.
"I may have discouraged you all to participate because of my fear … not only as your master but also as your guardian. I have played such role and assumed the responsibility as your father since all of you have lost your own parents and family. So, I have treated you all like my own children."
A sincere and genuine declaration of their master.
Everyone started to become emotional for their master.
Not even once they felt an orphan due to the bond and care shown by their master.
Due to the genuine emotions displayed by their master.
Tears were falling.
Some were trying their best not to cry.
And some covered their eyes to keep their vulnerability intact.
"Now … it is time for me to let you all become the person you deserve to be! Rather than holding you back from your true potential."
"Lastly, since we have our new champions. It is only right to return the tradition we had before. For our newly crowned champions."
The {-Senior Ranked-} and {-Apprentice Ranked-} disciples of Master Wushu were aware of this tradition but the {-Junior Ranked-} disciples had no idea and were looking clueless about it.
"For an entire year, the champions must be called by their chosen moniker."
Having a moniker was something treated by everyone as an honor.
Thus, upon hearing this … majority of the disciples gasped in excitement.
"Since Feilong has the highest rank, he will declare his first."
Feilong stepped forward from behind,
"Looks like my moniker as the -PHANTOM- is back! Call me the Phantom."
Cheers followed for Feilong.
And then Master Wushu looked at Reema.
"Just like the nightingale, little it may be but they can be powerful and beautiful even at night. So call me … the -Nightingale- as my moniker." Reema declared.
Everyone was impressed at Reema and they cheered for her.
Then there was Shams …
Master Wushu looked at Shams for him to declare his own moniker.
At first Shams was hesitating to stand because he was still thinking of a cool and dignifying moniker.
But his mind remained blank and empty with any words.
Except for …
His own real name …
"I chose -SHAMS- as my moniker."
Compared to the other two, no one understood what it meant.
Unlike their master, he understood completely why Shams chose his own name as his moniker.
To finally be called by his real name.
