October 21st, 10pm.

Former 3rd Battalion Commander Arwell Kilgaroho was housed in a punishment cell at Knights headquarters.

The punishment chamber was considerably finer than the prisons of the criminals, and there was no sense of imminent crisis in him.

(I haven't heard from your father. Is Lord Braveburn going to keep me locked up until the Knights return?

However, it was starting to get a little rushed because my parents couldn't get in touch with me.

During the day, there was a situation hearing from the Knights, which could be distracted, but at night, there was no one to talk to, and I had no time to spare.

When the sleeper finally attacked me, there was some contentious noise outside, and shortly thereafter a magnificent knight appeared with the rank chapter of Squadron Leader. Behind him were two soldiers who seemed to follow.

The knight remained with a hard expression, to Arwell, who fell asleep,

"Dear Arwell, I am the third squadron leader of the Eighth Battalion. My name is Stefan Ridgeway. For generations there are those who serve the Kilgaroho family and are ordered by His Excellency the Duke to help Lord Arwell."

Though Arwell was heartily pleased with the words, he reprimands them with an arrogant look.

"It's late! Why didn't you come sooner!

Ridgeway drooped his head quietly,

"I am truly sorry. But it seems that your Excellency also struggled to do things without Lord Braveburn's attention. Forgive me. However, we are now in a state of contention for a moment. Time is more precious than money, and no argument will come back to your mansion."

Arwell has a look he's not convinced of yet, but he wasn't going to lose this opportunity to help himself.

"I don't have a choice. Then I'll leave it to you."

Ridgeway handed him his squire's gear,

"I'm sorry, but until we get out of King's Capital, you will disguise yourself as a squad attendant"

Arwell looks disgusted and sees that gear, but sees Ridgeway's hurried look and starts dressing like he gave up.

And as we get dressed, we'll check the policy of escape.

"How do we get out of here?

"We are falling outside. We will replace you with a squire and exit from HQ along with the junior officer. And from the royal castle, you will disguise yourself as a decree and escape from the king's capital as it is. Outside the Wang capital, we hear that His Excellency the Duke has been arranged. He and I should be on our way to Kilgaroho territory. Your Majesty's plan is that once you have lurked in the territory, you will buy time to persuade His Majesty."

"But if you want to buy some time, why don't we stay here?

"No, there is a danger to you if you stay here. I fear Lord Braveburn will assassinate me..."

The word assassination flows cold on Arwell's back.

"... said it was an assassination... ok. Then we have to get out of here."

Ridgeway just lowers his head, utters no more words, and hastens Arwell's change of clothes with attitude.

When you are ready in about five minutes, put Arwell's clothes on the young squire who is falling outside and keep him rolling with his back to the entrance.

Ridgeway follows Arwell and walks dignified through the headquarters when he whines two or three words to the guard at the exit of the punishment chamber.

Arwell, on the other hand, walking behind him, was cautioned many times by Ridgeway, thinking that someone could not blame him.

And Arwell was horrified, as well as questioned, by the Knights headquarters, the general gates of the Royal Castle and how easy it was for him to get out.

"Still, can't things be carried too well? Isn't that Lord Braveburn's trap?

Ridgeway doesn't even look back,

"The person in charge of the Royal Castle's security at this hour is a petty officer, so..."

Arwell was good at it, he nodded loudly,

"I see your father was also weighing this timing..."

Arwell still tried to talk, but Ridgeway blames it.

"Until you leave the gates of the king's capital, don't be alarmed. The authority of the petty officer is not at the gates of the king's capital, so we need to hit a play..."

Arwell nods honestly at the words and walks fast to the west gate of Wang Du.

Along the way, the squire leaves them and disappears somewhere.

Ridgeway starts talking about the ploy ahead when Arwell is about to utter his doubts.

"The squire is preparing the horse. We will impersonate the early horse to Chulock and escape the King's capital. At that time, all negotiations will be conducted by the petty officer, so please don't let Arwell say anything."

Arwell understands the operation and nods to Eagle Deep.

Immediately the squire pulled four horses and joined them.

As soon as we reach the west gate, Ridgeway starts talking to the gatekeeper and the gate opens up.

Arwell was so happy that he was about to scream at the way it looked.

(That's Father. I didn't know you were preparing so well. How much lurk in the realm after that, but if I leave this to my father too, it won't be a problem......)

Shortly after leaving the gate, the four of them run their horses in the dark relying on the illuminating light of the lighted demonic props.

After about twenty minutes of running, he took off the streets and went into the woods.

When Ridgeway signals a halt and everyone disembarks, one of his squire offers Arwell such crude clothes as the villagers would wear.

"Master Arwell. Here, I'll ask you to change into these clothes. Your Excellency has instructed me to turn you into a civilian."

Arwell looks disgusted for a moment, but listens to the Duke's instructions and honestly begins to change.

At that time, one of his squire retrieves the sword that was being given to Arwell.

"Without the sword, I'd be restless"

to Arwell's dissatisfaction, that Ridgeway,

"It is unnatural for a civilian to have a Knights sword"

Though Arwell was unconvinced, the guide soon appeared and forced himself to convince by rethinking that he would be given another sword.

In his escape from the Knights headquarters, he lowered his hips to either be excessively nervous or get on the spot.

Then Ridgeway stood before him, staring down at him.

Arwell was uncomfortable with the feeling of being looked down on, as well as expressing disgust at Ridgeway's suddenly leopardized attitude.

"It would be disrespectful. Don't you kneel."

Ridgeway ignored the words, changed his tone, and began to ask questions.

"Lord Arwell (...) said the Second Squadron was escaped as a shield, but was the Second Squadron going to throw it away?

Arwell suddenly doesn't understand the shaken story. He is also irritated and shouted that his minister, Ridgeway, has changed his tone.

"Rude! I don't need to answer you!

Without changing his expression at all, Ridgeway said, "You've been stoned, haven't you?" and further inquire.

Arwell realizes that although the sudden change in Ridgeway's attitude felt creepy, he has no allies around him and rarely gets angry with him.

"Doesn't that matter? Fair enough. The Second Squadron ordered his lord to keep the whole army alive. Nothing more or less."

"Okay. Now, as for Lord Arwell himself, I heard he saw a herd of oaks, fearless, unable to even pull out his sword, and escaped. Is it true?

The word escaped touches his scales and suppressed anger erupts all at once.

"Yeah! That's not true! I don't have to fight for myself, Commander. I didn't do it without fear!

Ridgeway doesn't give a shit about Arwell's yelling, etc., and keeps asking questions.

"See you at the end. What are your thoughts on the second squadron, the war victims of the proselytizing soldiers, now? Do you have any apologies, or memorials?

Arwell didn't even try to hide the look of contempt,

"Is that still a knight? One sacrifice to protect the general, a memorial, etc., will not serve as a commander. It is the duty of the knights, the civilians, to protect me as a senior nobleman. Why do you need an apology?

"So if you're from the Duke of Kilgaroho, do you mean poor knights, civilians are disposable tools? Ok. Now, let me give you my judgment."

Ridgeway pulls through the long sword on his hips and leans closer to Arwell.

At some point there was an angry look on Ridgeway's face that shouldn't have had any expression on his face. Arwell fears the impatient look.

And the two servants, at some point, were turning around behind Arwell.

"Hey, what the fuck! What are you gonna do!

The two squires are also pulling out their long swords, surrounding Arwell from the three sides.

"Let me take the vengeance of my son, Anton, who was murdered by you. The two of you here, those who had relatives in the Second Squadron that you killed."

Arwell backwards as his hips fell out,

"Stop! You will be the one who gained more locks than my Kilgaroho family! That's what shields me!

"I did get Loc, but I intend to come by contributing more than that. But the Duke family, no, you consider us merely pawns. If you want our loyalty... no, no matter what I say to you now..."

With that said, Ridgeway punches Arwell in the right cheek with a flat sword.

Arwell said, "GUGE!" He raises his voice and falls to the ground.

Against him who falls in, the squire adds a kicking assault that beats him thoughtfully.

"Your Majesty's permission came down today. You've been handed over to the Kilgaroho family. I guess the Duke made a deal with His Majesty. The Duke said he would execute you publicly. But then your presence will help the Kilgaroho family. I have sworn to avenge you, everything with the name of Kilgaroho. I swore to my son..."

Even while Ridgeway says so, his squire continues to assault Arwell.

"Wow, what did I do... this time, heh, Your Majesty's mistake. If you resent His Majesty, resent your father!

"Still don't know! You were born into a flourishing house called the Duke of Lead. Forget about that duty, we lower knights, we abandon civilians like tools..."

While kicking Arwell's belly with his boots,

"Looking at my face, I didn't realize I was a minister who had sworn allegiance to you. I understand that we have a situation where we have to die. But we're people, too. I don't even know what the honor is, I can't bear to die with the life of a fool. Suffer and die for those who have died because of your stupidity!

"Ha, I'm going to help...... Grr! I don't like it, I don't want to die... with a noose... woo!

Arwell begged again and again and ended up stuck on Ridgeway's leg.

"My son, and the sons of those who are here, did not want to die either. No, I didn't want to die a dog!

Ridgeway and the others ignore his begging for life and continue to punch him in the face even more.

As he continued to beat him for about five minutes, Arwell could not move, and his face was moreover deformed beyond his knowledge.

"That's about it. Even if we find him soon enough, we can't be sure of him."

That's how Ridgeway waves down his long sword on Arwell's left arm, which is falling.

Arwell's left wrist was slashed off and Arwell was rolling around the ground as he was bloodstained.

A long sword was also swung down on his right leg knee, where the movement stopped further, and Arwell was squatting on the spot with a groan of unspoken “woo woo” because of the pain.

Ridgeway signals with his eyes to one of his squire,

"Barnes, dispose of the orb."

Called Barnes, the squire crushes the orb that remains on his left wrist - a demonic prop that proves his identity - at the tip of his long sword.

"They say there are a lot of wild dogs and wolves around here. Thou shalt be eaten alive by the beasts, thinking of thy stupidity. Heh heh, even if I'm lucky enough to survive, there's a public execution waiting. Run away with that body, give up and be eaten... and die out of pain, begging forgiveness of those who have been slain..."

That's all he says, he takes the horse and leaves the spot.

Arwell, left behind, tries to leave the scene like crawling, but he was beginning to hear the wolves howling in his ears.

(I don't like it... I don't want to die here... help me...)

After enough, a loud international scream echoes through the woods.

But soon the scream was broken and quiet was restored again.

Ridgeway and the others, who disposed of Arwell, entered the King's Capital with the dawn from the North Gate and headed towards the Duke of Kilgaroho's residence.

The King's Capital in the early morning is noisier than usual, with the Knights soldiers passing the streets many times.

Ridgeway is

(Looks like you've already exposed Arwell's escape. If……)

He turns to the two squire, smiling cloudless.

"They both served me well so far. Thank you. I may not have a chance to talk before this. So let me tell you something first."

"What I have been able to serve my husband is difficult to replace with anything."

The squire responds with the same smile.

The Ridgeway family had two sons. His eldest son had lost his life in the bandit exorcism in Kilgaroho territory, and his second son, Anton, was to inherit the house. Stefan's wife was in the other world a few years ago, and he was the only survivor of the Ridgeway family.

Of the two squire, Barnes had a wife and a daughter, but he decided to martyr to his beloved master.

Ridgeway remembers that,

"I did something I was sorry for my wife..."

Barnes grinned,

"My wife and daughter should understand. You both understand that your husband is a no-shift for us."

More than that, the three of them say nothing and go on with a smile at the noisy King's Capital. No one realised that they were executioners, in such a natural step.

The three went straight into the Duke's residence in dignity.

And when you get to the corner where the Duke's minister lives,

"Anton, I've taken my revenge. And then there's how much hate the Duke's house is, but it won't come true for me to see it..."

He pierces his own throat with a sword and ends up harming himself.

The remaining squire also died after him after silent prayer in front of his master's body.

Their bodies will be found two hours later, on October 22, at 9 a.m.

Initially, it was unclear why he ended up harming himself here, but soon it turned out why, and the Duke of Kilgaroho family was driven into distress.
