Trinitas Mundus

Episode 5: Commander Ashley

November 3.

The merchants, consisting of twenty carriages, including merchants, lords and escorts, were all nervous.

Especially Ashley, who was entrusted with the command of the escort, was under strong pressure so that his stomach could tighten to the responsibility of keeping dozens of lives.

(Twenty-five men and merchants to protect. Plus there are nine escorts under my command. That's all I'm going to keep my life under... more pressure than I thought. Was Father or Sister Val constantly fighting this pressure... to serve me? That's also in this dangerous situation......)

Ray noticed Ashley's nervousness, "It's okay. If it's Ash as usual, I'm sure he'll be fine," he whispers in his ear.

The words and the tickle of his exhale that hits her ears release her tension.

Ashley slurps on his cheek, "Thank you," then goes back to the commander's face.

"We're leaving! Don't let the horses strain you until you're raided! Hank, I'll take the lead! Okay, let's go!

The carriage begins to move by her decree.

The merchants who decided to stay in this city looked at them like they were doing something reckless.

We left at 8am and the first hour went well.

But about five kilometers after leaving the city, Stella, who went out to scout, told me that there was a herd of forest wolves ahead.

"There's a bunch of wolves about a kilometer from here. It seemed like he was out of the woods fishing for something, but about twenty of them stayed near the street."

Hearing that report, Ashley decided to stop the carriages and ask Ray and Hank for their views.

Hank insisted that if he was a wolf, he should keep going because he would kick his ass with the magic of Archers and Rays.

Ray, on the other hand, proposes to annihilate himself and Stella ahead of time.

"It's about twenty heads, and if it's a nice place to see, Stella and I are good enough. You'll be wiped out in an ambush."

Hank loses his words to Ray's words in a mild tone.

(Though a forest wolf, it's a herd of twenty. It's not like they don't know how cunning they are... but don't lose your word when they say this too lightly. That's the “White Master”...)

Hank was aware of Ray's identity.

To use magic with white armor, but at first I thought it was someone else because I was too young. When I talked to him, I began to think he was a “white warrior” who asked poetry.

"If that's what Ray said, I'm not saying no. I'll leave Ashley to her discretion."

Ashley leans her neck towards Hank, who has been able to draw her opinion lightly, but if it's about the Forest Wolf, she thought Ray and Stella were enough, and adopted Ray's measures.

Ray and Stella approached where the wolves were on foot.

Fortunately, it's under the wind and the wolves don't notice any approaching.

When we approached a distance of about 300 m, one wolf noticed what they looked like.

"You were noticed unexpectedly early... and Stella escorted me. Destroy them all before they get close, but if they do..."

Stella said before Ray could finish, "Okay. I won't let a single head get close," he nodded forcefully.

Ray is happy with it and begins to prepare his magic.

He was about to try a certain magic.

"Supporting all the earth, God of the earth (Reams). Give me a spear that strengthens the power of your family, the Spirit of the earth, and pierces the heavens. I do not give my life to you."

And activated the magic where the wolves approached about fifty meters in front of him.

"Pierce my enemy! Spear of the earth (Rockspear)!"

Dozens of rock spears, about 10 cm in diameter and 2 m long, protruded from the feet of the wolves who were running through the wasteland by the street.

The wolves, who do not expect to be attacked from their feet, take the form of their own penetration into a hard rock, their soft abdomen pierced by spears.

A few wolves seemed to have escaped the ordeal, but they ran away with their tails round, losing their will to the appearance of companions like "Mockingjay's Early Sacrifice”, pierced by a rock.

"That's a huge success. Now, don't be a creepy object if you stay like this. But I can't help it..."

Speak up to Stella, who stands up flashly, and ask for a transmission.

"Tell Ash the wolf is gone."

Stella hurries back to me and runs under Ashley.

(How far will that magic go?

Remaining Ray stabs a stop at the wolves still breathing.

And when he finishes stabbing the wolves with a stop, he tests its power.

(Spend more magic than I thought, but much less magic than a giant lens (solar system). Maybe the presence or absence of spells around here has something to do with it. Well, the usability conditions are both problematic...)

And while checking the condition of the wolves, I was also thinking about how to use them in the future.

(Wouldn't do much for a hard-skinned demon. And if you don't stick it in from yourself, the damage may be small. That's pretty effective against enemies coming in like this one...)

Stella's report brings the merchant squad closer to the scene.

Surprised by how pierced the rock spear is, he raises his hand to Ray to thank him.

"You still use unusual magic. What's all this magic?

To Ashley's frightening sentiments, Ray gets a little stuck in the words,

"Is it a rocky version of backwoods? I struggled to prevent enemies in Millis Valley, so I added a little arrangement to my regular earth spear (Rockspear)."

Ashley shook her head at the words and laughed, "Sure it's valid magic, but it's not remarkable," he said.

Ray laughs "Right," too, but soon he gets a serious look.

"These wolves felt unscrupulous and starving"

"Right," Ashley nodded, prompting ahead.

"I don't know how much there's only two of us, me and Stella, but I think it's strange to come into the dark clouds. I guess we should think we're gonna have more aggressive enemies ahead of us than usual."

Ashley warped her face a little and was thinking about what lay ahead.

(Are you hungry... it's not so uncommon for a forest wolf to starve, but this is a time of abundance of food that hooks me up. Suppose more demons than forest wolves are equally hungry...... it would be better to think that ambushes, ambushes, whatever happens is not strange......)

Ashley stabs the nails to keep her guards safe, because there will be danger ahead, and as before, she proceeds in a way that puts Stella ahead and explores the enemy.

As she expected, they were attacked by a herd of goblins, and then a group of killer bees (killer hornets).

There were about ten goblins, so Ashley and Hanks were able to clean them up lightly. But the next group of nearly thirty killer hornets that have been attacked will struggle considerably and suffer enormous damage.

Killer Hornet is a tin bee about the size of a whale, threatened by a fiercely poisonous needle and a sharp jaw, but its mobility is more troublesome than that. Suddenly stopping in the air or changing direction at sharp angles from a linear motion was fast, and shooting it off with arrows, as well as knocking it off with a sword, was a difficult business.

Even Ashley could only slap down the enemies coming at him, and the other swordsmiths could only wave their swords in such a way as to drive them away rather than attack them.

For this reason, I had to finish with the magic of Ray with the tracking function and the exact attack with Stella's speed - a combination of throwing swords and daggers.

Though he managed to wipe them out, two escorts and one of your men had been the victim of poison due to the prolonged effects of the battle. In addition, damage was also caused to two towing horses pulling the wagon, so it was decided to reduce the luggage to eighteen pairs instead.

(No matter how high my count rate is, it's too abnormal. Anyway, I heard that Killer Hornet isn't much of a street either. I really wonder what's going on in the mountains......)

Twenty-five km took eight hours to reach the destination Kenney.

Upon arrival, everyone, including the merchants, was exhausted from repeated raids and had extremely low numbers of mouths.

Kenney's population was about a thousand people, rural with food for Periclitle, but sometimes along the streets, the accommodation was ample.

The face of the exhausted merchants quickly headed to the inn.

Kenney, like around Cardobeck, was a killer.

Kenney, which is just a rural area, has no massive outer walls and just about three metres of wooden fences, and the art of protecting itself from demons has to fight.

Is that why there were no children, and many peasant-like men hung their swords on their hips besides farm tools?

"You have an impact here, too. What are we going to do tomorrow?

Ray's whining reaches Ashley's ear. Is she pretty worn out in the direction of the day, I can't feel her usual hegemony?

"Right. Maybe I won't be able to get there safely today. If only my command had been a little more firm..."

Ray gently holds her shoulder to that depressing look of Ashley.

"Ash was doing it right. Those are all the enemies. I think it was well protected with only ten escorts."

"Right," Ashley muttered, putting her head lightly on his shoulder.

(You seem pretty tired. We lost three victims, so we might not have had a choice, but if it hadn't been for us, we'd probably have been wiped out. Well, I guess Ash knows that...)

The number of demons that have been attacked by the merchants on this day are: Forest Wolf 20, Goblin 12, and Killer Hornet 25. If you went into a demonic habitat on a crusade, you don't have to know, and you will have encountered and been attacked by a record number of demons on Fonce Avenue, the main street.

In particular, Killer Hornet is a monster equivalent to Level 7, even if it is alone, but a dangerous monster equivalent to Grades 5 to 4 when it comes to herds. Being raided by that demon and only suffered about 10% of the damage is commendable.

(Better take a day off tomorrow. I guess I can afford a day or so if I say hurry)

The next day, as Ray suggested, we were to put in the day off.

The successful merchants also seemed to have survived yesterday's raid, and were to rest all day on the grounds that they would rest their horses.
