Umi to Kaze no Oukoku
4 Banquet Night
The banquet of King Angus the Leopard was very similar to that of the Southeast Islands, but the difference is that meat is the main thing and the ladies are present.
Shaw glanced at the banquet wanting to identify Prince Jung, whom the First Lady had given birth to, and Prince Maui, whom the young lady had given birth to, but was seated beside King Angus, so he could only speak to the extent of his greeting.
Prince Jung in his late twenties is tall and feels like a prince of the hunting nation in everything.
Shaw seemed to be better at hunting cows rather than relaxing and keeping them. He seems to be good at martial arts, but I doubt he can rule the kingdom of Savannah, which has grown.
Prince Maui, younger than Shaw, was still in the process of growing up or was short for the Kingdom of Savannah, which has many lengths. But I didn't think Shaw was stupid enough to be rumored to be making a deal behind it with Prince Jenas.
Shaw thinks we have to be sure that Prince Maui is really connected to Prince Jenas.
The ladies attending the banquet sat solidified elsewhere than the men. I don't really feel comfortable watching the Ladies of King Angus, I haven't really looked closely, but the First Lady is sitting in the upper seat and the other Ladies seem to be pushed towards the corner.
Shaw was talking to King Angus and the other tribal chiefs, so he sat away from the princes, but still noticed they were second-hand apart.
The elderly Prince Jung will also have children. I'm worried about what will happen in case it gets obsolete.
During the extended banquet, Shaw was distracted by the successor feud and could not enjoy it.
Lying at King Angus's feet, Rude looked at Shaw with chillies and golden eyes.
In an exchange of words with King Angus, Rude meditated his eyes but wondered what Shaw had told him.
"Prince Shaw comes with a fine eagle. The Kingdom of Savannah is originally a hunting people, so hunting is the basis of life. I'm thinking of hosting a hunt tomorrow, so I'd like to invite King Shaw and his son to take the eagle with them."
Shaw had been told by Ambassador Melville that it was an honor to be invited to hunt by King Angus, so he replied with pleasure.
Shaw is finally finished with a bad banquet and is horrified, but is briefed at the embassy on the details of the princes who are splitting up into two factions, Jung and Maui.
"The princes on Prince Jung were born by the Ladies who originally married them from the tribal chiefs of the Kingdom of Savannah. The First Lady was likewise the daughter of a tribal chief, so you must be used to following it."
Does Shaw have a wife or kids in Jung? Ask a question.
"Of course, ma'am, there are many, and there are four princes"
Hilariously, they accuse me of not having a prince yet. Shaw was sick and tired of speaking to his daughter and granddaughter about the prince, even at the Royal Palace in Leyte, so he ignores about Ambassador Melville's rub.
"I don't know the character or ability of Prince Jung and Prince Maui because I could only talk to King Angus and the merged Chiefs around him tonight. But Prince Maui didn't even think he was stupid enough to ride Prince Jenas' invitation..."
Ambassador Melville brilliantly explains.
"Prince Maui's mother, a favorite of King Angus, is the daughter of a chief who originally ruled near the Kingdom of Surah. It's a farming people, and it's connected to the Kingdom of Surah."
Shaw wanted to escape when Maui's surroundings were later described as the princes conceived by the chief's daughter, annexed to the Kingdom of Savannah, and the roots of the succession feud were deep.
Shaw was thinking about the issue of the Savannah kingdom of the hunting nation merging the surrounding farming peoples, while explaining the hunting practices of the Kingdom of Savannah and so on to the embassy's martial officers.
"The leopards' hunt is brilliant. King Angus' Rude will finish the deer with one shot. The princes and chiefs also have leopards, but you haven't made them as familiar as Rude."
"That, I guess. Rude's a talking leopard."
Ambassador Melville was surprised by Shaw's words.
"You really can talk about Rude! I heard rumors, but I thought it was magician bullshit."
Shaw remembered that he didn't see a magician at the banquet tonight, but that it was at Prince Alexei's wedding that he became a sorcery war with the Kingdom of Surah.
"What is the position of a sorcerer in the Kingdom of Savannah? As a cleric in the Kingdom of Surah, he seems to have gained a high status…"
The manly ambassador of Melville in the Southeast Islands rows out by boat to the Great Sea Plains under the cover of the wind, so he offers prayers to the goddess of the sea and the god of the wind, and understands phenomena that are not rational.
"The magician's specialty in the Kingdom of Savannah is to make it rain. In the dry season, it won't rain a drop. Near this capital, Lian, wells can wither."
Yet Shaw leans his neck wondering if he didn't attend the banquet.
"The rainy season is going to end early, so I guess you're even praying"
I respect the magic of magicians, but Ambassador Melville is not interested in magicians.
"This embassy is on a hill, but won't the well wither during the dry season?
Ambassador Melville explains how deep wells are being dug, saying securing water is the most important issue.
"Aren't the other wells, if you dig deep, fine?
"It's outrageous! Underneath this hill there is a stream of water. That's why we built an embassy here."
Seems like an ambassador from the Southeast Islands who knows the importance of securing water on a voyage, Shaw nods that this point will be okay.
"Ambassador Melville, the problem with the Kingdom of Savannah is not just the successor feud. Re-examine the extent to which Prince Jenas is making contact around Prince Maui. And I want to know what Prince Jung is capable of. Even if we talk about it in the hunt, we can't measure our ability to reign, so I want you to set up a space to discuss it slowly."
Ambassador Melville looks at Shaw with the seemingly luscious eyes that he will, too......
"I don't want any more wives! Keep this in mind for the liver."
Biscuit scolded me, and I admitted it for once, but Ambassador Melville giggles in an attempt to ask Leyte.
