Unknown Prey

Leo climbed in behind Kitsune and pulls her into his embrace. "I wouldn't say no to a request from you if it is within my power." His kisses the top of her head. "For the last six months that you disappeared from my side all I could think of was you. I lost sleep, finished my jobs rather recklessly, and struggled to keep my emotions in check." His arms wrapped around her body. "This is the first time that I have ever lost my composure. I was struggling with the emptiness I felt in my heart without you beside me. I'm an extremely possessive person. I don't want another man to touch my woman." He still had his head buried in Kitsune's hair. "Please don't ever leave me again." He whispered the last part.

Kitsune's face was on fire from the confession from Leo. She was silent. 'We felt the same the entire time we were apart. If you think about being with a hunter would probably be the safest place to be. The hunters would never think that a hunter would take a demon for a bride.' She placed her hand on Leo's arm and gently ran her fingers up and down his arm. "Leo, would the other hunters be able to figure out that you took a demon in as a girlfriend? I know that I can make my presence like a human but do you think they might be able to detect that I'm not who I say I am?" The baby starts kicking so she places her hand on her belly and gently rubs where the feet are kicking. "Those six months were hard on me as well. I figured out that you were a hunter and I panicked thinking that I would've to lead you here and you would kill my people but when I thought about it more I figured you would just be hunting for me. I longed to see you. I wished that I was a normal human for the first time in my life. I felt that I was missing a part of my soul but at the same time, I had our little one growing inside of my belly. The baby brought me pure joy and I wondered how you would react when you finally found me again. I knew that you would eventually find your way here. I don't want us to be apart." Kitsune's voice cracked and tears formed in her eyes.
