“Yes! Let’s go home!”

Sarge, lying on the ground, raised his head when he felt our presence. The knights are still cleaning up, so they are not here. It’s fine to leave, but there’s one problem.

“You’re coming with us, aren’t you, Sarge?”

“No, I’m not going to do that. But I was wondering how Sarge is going to live over there. You see, just when I was leaving for a while, there was such a crowd of people. “

After me, my mom made a troubled sound.

“Well, the garden would be nice, but it would be too cramped. …… Ah, the mountain where Verna’s house is located would be fine.”

“Oh, that sounds great! We can spend some time there if we cut it open a little.”

“Is that okay?”

When I ask, Sarge expresses his reluctance.

“You can’t do that at that size ……”

“Yeah–“

My brother smiled bitterly, and even Nora said it was impossible, and nodded. Sarge was stunned, his mouth hanging open.

“Oh my, you’ve suddenly started to act like a spoiled child. Hmmm, we don’t have any money yet and it’s hard to expand our garden ……”

When my mom tilted her head, the headmaster, who had been thinking with his hand on his chin, opened his mouth.

“…… Sarge-kun, can’t you make your body smaller?”

“Hmm, dragons are wise and have strong magic. In past lore, dragons were able to change their size and even take human form.”

When the headmaster his head with the feeling that it’s strange, Tigre-sensei replied back with his arms folded.

“Really? The one I fought was one that couldn’t even speak, you know? The Flame Dragon from the east.”

“It seems there are individual differences. I’m sure Sarge-kun can do it, though. ……”

Sarge closed his eyes and concentrating his magic power. I’m hoping it’ll work, and as I watch…

When Sarge noticed something, he shouted.

“Ah!”

He became smaller and smaller until he was the size of a puppy. It reminds me of the Mame Shiba I used to have. Nora ran out with a smile, took Sarge in her arms, and held him high.

(T/N: A Mame Shiba Inu is a Shiba Inu dog that has been intentionally bred to be smaller. (from google))

“Wow! He’s smaller now! But the orphanage doesn’t allow pets ……”

“Well, it’s the lord’s mansion. Mom, may I?”

She jumped over to my brother and said something like that, and he asked Mom. She smiled as she stroked Sarge’s head.

“Well, I don’t mind, though? But when you go out, you have to go with someone. You’ll scare them, after all.”

When Sarge sniffs proudly, Jack opens his mouth with a puzzled look on his face.

“You’re so careless.”

“Ahaha, you’re right.”

“Then let’s take the carriage home. It’s the family carriage and we can’t leave it there.”

“Yes. Then, I’ll be your driver so get in.”

We headed for the carriage with Tigre-sensei leading the way. On the way, the members of the knights club who fought against Makina and the others were waiting for us. Makina quickly hid behind me and glared at them, but they bowed to us with an uncomfortable look on their faces.

“Um, I’m sorry …… I gave you such a bad time when Gurudo-sensei said we should only listen to him and win and that became our only purpose.”

“Yesterday, Gurudo-sensei and the knight club were gathered and the vice commanders were very angry with me …… ”

It seems that the matter that Itsuart had mentioned was conveyed. It’s not all bad, I suppose, as winning gives you confidence, but the way it’s done …… And what’s the difference between that and bullying?

Then someone who seemed to be the leader of the team made an impassioned speech to Makina, who was behind me.

“Teacher said he dropped from his position as advisor of the knights’ club and is going to start training for hell. We’ll have a change of hearts and try to win fair and square, so please fight us again at that time.”

“…… Oh, yes. I’ll ask you to do it then. I’ll let everyone at Oblivion Institute know. ……!”

He smiled apologetically at Makina’s words and shook her hand, and then gong quickly came all, then he turned and said.

“I’m sorry about that.”

“Grrr …… No, that’s okay. It seems that Lars-kun has beaten you to a pulp. I’ll show you how to win by myself next time.”

“This guy ……! I’m not going to lose.”

Gong scratched the bridge of his nose, blushed, and walked back to the knights.

(What, that’s all?)

(I thought you were going to confess.)

(No, I don’t think that’s possible with that boyfriend ……? Even if I wanted to take her, even I don’t know if I could win ……)

I couldn’t hear what was going on, but there was a lot of noise, and then Gong shouted, nd then Gong shouted, “Shut up!” and went away, and they all chased after him.

“It was pretty lively.”

“Well, I hope this makes things a little more normal. Raina-san said that we should just start over.”

Brother nodded at my words, and this time we got into the carriage and the horses slowly started walking.

“It’s great, we got to be with horse-san again.”

“Hihi~n”

(T/N: The “Hihi~n” there is an onomatopoeia for the horse neighing.)

Nora called out to the horse, and it whinnied cheerfully. After a short walk out of town, the still tired children began to doze off, so I moved over to the driver’s seat to talk to Tigre-sensei, and put my face between his and Verna-sensei’s, and opened my mouth with both hands on my cheeks.

“I wonder why Verna-sensei and Tigre-sensei looked like those two. It seems like too much of a coincidence, though.”

They ended up becoming lovers, and apparently, Teiga-san looked like them too, despite the difference in their eyes. He also said they had no children, so it’s unlikely they were descended from each other.

“Coincidences do exist. It’s not surprising that Verna is from this country, and after 450 years, it’s not surprising that something happened to her.”

“You’re right. Isn’t it interesting to think that maybe, a long time ago, Emperor Griel’s father’s father or mother had a brother, and I might have been a descendant of that line? So Tigre is Teiga’s ancestor.”

“Ha! It’s not that convenient! I’m from the kingdom of Berias in the east, you know? So there’s no way.”

Tigre snickered, and Verna said with a smile.

“But, we don’t know where Teiga-san, and if we do …… wouldn’t that be a bit romantic?”

“I don’t believe in fate, you know. I fell in love with you of my own free will.”

Tigre-sensei swears with a red face, and Verna-sensei and I look at each other and laugh. And then I finally said something else that had been bothering me.

“I’ve been wondering why Tigre-sensei is called a [war demon]. Is it about your skills?”

“Right. I want to know too. I’ve heard rumors that you’re unbeatable on the battlefield.”

When Verna-sensei said to after my question, Tigre-sensei was wondering what to do, but he laughed and started talking. It was about Tigre-sensei’s past.

“…… My skill is [Ignore Weapon Type], no matter what kind of weapon I have, there is no weapon I can’t use.”

“Heh~! That’s cool!”

This is the kind of skill a man would want to have. I’m sure Ryuuze would be jealous. When I look up excitedly, Tigre-sensei begins to talk with a distant look in his eyes.

“Yes, it’s cool and it’s actually strong. But that wasn’t enough ……”

It’s a very sad story about teacher who became a teacher–

Oh no …… I didn’t finish …… I’m sorry …… I’ll get to it next time ……!

Thank you for reading!

[Afterword Theater]

“Why don’t you delete the part about the knights?”

How could you say that!? Even though I borrowed Raina-san’s words from here!

“But, it’s not needed. They’re not going to show up again, right?”

We don’t know that ……!
